i forgot something... lol the best way to restore is first to put in dfu mode then plug in ur pc and go to itunes and it will say that it is in recovery mode and ask u to restore . do it and then do what i said before with the sim card

put your sim card in another phone disable the sim code then put it again in your iphone.

it will start up! if u want the code backk in your sim card put it back on the other pjone active it. next put again ur sim in ur iphone. before this i advise to u to restore it first

turn your iPhone off plug it in to the computer open iTunes hold down sleep button for 3 seconds until apple logo pops up then release sleep and hold home until your computer sees the iPhone in recovery mode then restore it and it should work this is putting your iPhone in DFU mode and may take a few times to do if you get stuck while iPhone plugged in to the computer hold sleep and home for 10 seconds until you return to your iPhone........................­..............................­.........

heres an idea, NOT DEFINITE BUUUT..... try leaving your iPhone plugged into your computer and restarting the computer. Let the comp reboot FULLY. If that doesn't work try a hard reset by holding home&power for as long as it takes to get an apple logo. If its rly fucked it could be like 10 min IDK! but DO SOMETHING! lol Apple might just take it and give you a brand new one. Did you try that?

u need a sim card or it wont do anything because people steal phones and the sim card keeps them from using it also the sim card is they phones are going now so take it back to were ever you bought it and ask them to put the right sim card in after that you should beable to use it on your i tunes

Thats because the ipod touch and iphone have different cables! so you have to buy the right cable for the iphone! or else it wont detect it. it worked with me!

But to activate it to the home screen you should put a sim card that you were using when your iPhone was activated.

IT WORKED for me!!

If you want that your iPhone will appear on iTunes you need to:

Press the home button and the power button

The same time for 10 seconds.

After that quickly release the home butoon and keep pressing the power button for 2 seconds. Then an apple logo will appear up and it will take you to a page with connect to iTunes screen but WITHOUT emergency call

Then your iPhone will be recognized in iTunes.

SOLUTION: I think this works - turn off iphone by holding the power button and turn it off completely. Unplug and then holding the home button, plug back in, still holding the home button until the screen loads again (this time without the emergency calling). And then from here it should be okay to jailbreak again with the programs detecting your iphone.

ummm. i might be a little late but if your on windows, plug your ipod in, and go to files at the top left corner go down and it should say " sync ( your ipod's name)" click and go wait a few minutes it'll sync and ur iphone will show up.) i jst tried with mine and it worked

3. hold down home button for 3 seconds

(KEEP HOLDING HOME BUTTON)

4. plug usb cable into phone

5. plug usb cable into computer

after itunes recognizes iphone, let go of home button.

i got a very strange iphone 2g from my aunt.

she told me that my uncle (r.i.p.) bought it and he already put things on it.

and my problem is that it is completely dead. i mean i can turn it on but then it shows me an image of a porsche car. and everytime i do what you told us (home and standby button) it shows me another image of a guy who says "surprise".
