They won on the field). 3 Heisman Trophy winners, 4-0 vs the sec, 8-0 vs big 10 (the 2 most hyped conferences in college football). 30-6 vs BCS Top 25 teams, 10-3 vs BCS Top 10 (2 of those losses were to Oregon), 7 straight Pac 10 titles, and countless players into the NFL. How do you beat that and save sec face?..sanctions.

Miss State was the weakest at 4-8, but the washington schools together were 2-22. If Quizz did that, think about Harvin, Tebow, Demps, Rainey running. USC would have to defend the spred. I dont think the USC D was really tested. the teams they played were not great. thats why a Pac-10 could go undefeated, but it they lose they lose their shot. the Pac-10 was a 1 or 2 team conference. Look at the SEC. Its a mosh pit, anyone can beat anyone, and half the time a SEC goes the the NC with one lose.

Florida state was great in the 90's, Oklahoma in the mid 50's, Bama back in the day, and Florida just a few years ago. Other teams have also had good run's.

Miss State was the weakest at 4-8, but the washington schools together were 2-22. If Quizz did that, think about Harvin, Tebow, Demps, Rainey running. USC would have to defend the spred. I dont think the USC D was really tested. the teams they played were not great. thats why a Pac-10 could go undefeated, but it they lose they lose their shot. the Pac-10 was a 1 or 2 team conference. Look at the SEC. Its a mosh pit, anyone can beat anyone, and half the time a SEC goes the the NC with one lose.

I am well aware that Michigan's program is in a shit hole right now. But in that exact year (2003) Auburn actually got skunked by USC 23-0 in Alabama. AND Michigan only lost to USC 28-14 in the Rose Bowl so we actually DID play better against USC than you guys did IN Los Angeles. (not saying much cus) My point being that in 2003 SC was FAR better than Auburn.

They deserved to be compensated for on-field performance (I know its illegal) bc much lesser skilled players on numerous teams have reaped illegal benefits. It was won on the field, its not like they were caught cheating or falsifying eligibility, or committing crimes...the NCAA should put more focus on some sort of playoff system & throw this nonsense out...ok strip em of the title, fact remains they beat the shit outta everybody on the field, the truth is the truth.

When the NC was played LSU won it, USC wasnt even there. yea yea USC should have played in the NC in 03, Auburn should have got in the 04 NC game. 1939 Texas A&M was voted #1 in the AP over USC does that make them the better team? I think so TA&M was 11-0 and USC was 8-0-2. OU was #1 in the Ap over USC in 1974. Bama was #1 in the AP over USC 1978. 1928 Georgia tech went 10-0 and won the rose bowl, USC didnt. what about those year?

that lost made Florida better, it was a wake up call and they never lost again. USC had a good D but playin 0-12 washington, 2-10 WSU, and half of the pac-10 not making it to a bowl. USC Defense was just as good as Florida's, but Florida was use to playing other great Defenses. something USC wasnt use too. both teams lost one game. If America thought USC was better than they would have voted them #1 in the AP. U keep talkin about the AP, so there u go. 08 UF was better and America thinks so.

You do realize the AP title is just as legit as the BCS right? The AP's been awarding national championships long before the BCS existed. College football didn't start in 1998.
USC also spanked Oklahoma 55-19 for the 2004 championship while LSU beat them by a touchdown. Think about it.
