  • before I get my hopes up...are you natural? or no

  • @Fitnutritishionist

Yes, I'm natural. I've been working out for over 20 years now.

  • @leemhayward sweet, thanks man. I can't wait to see how I am by your age!

  • Hey Lee just have a quick question for you. For the reverse grip cable curls you say to not use much weight because it is an isolation exercise. I have been hitting the reverse curls pretty heavy lately with 130lbs, any chance that could cause me any problems with my elbows? Thanks in advance.

  • @MUHAHA323

Heavy and light is relative to the individual. But you should lift with strict form and control the weight. A good little tip that you can try doing that will let you know if you are lifting too much or not, is to try pausing the the weight during the rep for a second and then continue. If you can't control and stop the weight mid-rep, then it means you are using momentum to cheat & swing the weights up.

  • Thanks, I've been wondering why I couldnt see mine!

  • Love it, thank you so much

  • Not everybody has access to a gym. I just have dumbells and barbells and a bench, so I find it hard to follow this excersise.

  • the reverse bicep curl is for the brachioradialis

  • thank you!

  • No triceps

  • for some funny reason wen u do the reverse curl on the machine from the angle uve used u look a bit like wee-man

  • man that cant be the brachialis, or can it, I saw on google images its the muscle on the inside of the arm?see i weight about 150 pounds and im tall, my fast metabolism makes me look "skinny", I can't find a workout that works the muscle in between my tricep and bicep on the inside, the muscle that covers that pointy elbow bone

  • lee are you a natural body builder?

  • i LOVE your videos <3 cant wait to be that big in the future

  • if you have a second. I'm in a wheelchair but I have full use of my arms and everything. my upper body has been forced to addapt as a result. I am extremely interesting in strength endurance training. seeing as I'm confind to a sitting possition could you give me some ideas or tips on how to focus on this, brachiialis muscle from my position. I can do concentration curls good sitting, but trying to do the reverse seems very awkward. thanks for your time

  • @Jeudaos

This is really something that will depend on the particular gym you are training at and what kinds of equipment you have. But with some creativity and some help from a training partner you can still workout despite being in a wheel chair. I know a few guys personally who are paraplegics and walk with crutches and still workout regularly.

  • @Jeudaos

Hammer curls also work well for the brachialis.

They might be a little easier from a position stand point.

  • @Jeudaos Hey,I am also in a wheelchair. I am a paraplegic, and is a result of having a condition called Spina Bifida. I am going to School for fitness and know how to help you if you would like. I am going for Nutrition and possibly personal training. Remember, you can work out all day and if you do not have proper nutrition your efforts will be wasted prety much completely as you would be breaking down 2 much without necessary nutrients. hit me up and lemme know =) God bless

  • Lee, I did the overhead cable curls and the reverse grip cable curls just last week. WOW, my arms were blasted by the end of my biceps and triceps workout. Thanks Lee

  • Great videos,

    You give great advice !

  • could i do the second exercise with dumbbells?

  • @RLhockey203 this is what I'm wondering. because I can't do overhead curls

  • I like the first exercise, very unique... But doing quick negatives is a definite no-no if you're trying to build strength and mass. Quick flexion, slow extension.

  • i tried this today at my gym, and i gotta say, it burns the brachialis like hell! i love this bicep workout, thanks alot lee!!!

  • Doesfirst exercise is really good for biceps ??

  • I do these everytime I go lift and I can feel it DRASTICALLY.

  • hi., i been working out for a few years etc, but theres always something to learn. im having trouble with my bi's. im concentrate on them hard but still i gain very little. also, i cant fill the middle of my chest up... is this because im focusing too much on flat? theres like a void in the middle of my chest.

  • lee hayward you are my hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much for posting this, thats the one muscle ive been looking to train!

  • r pull downs da same as da 2nd exercise? n do u knw other exercises 4 da brachialis bsize those??

  • hey man do you know any excercises i can do to work my lower chest muscles with a bench press and dumbells as i dont have the time to go too a gym im already fit but i want to build a fuller chest

  • @chunchoe just carry on with the basics don't over think it and be like "shit i need to hit my chest from flat, incline AND decline then do flyes and cable cross overs" pick 1 pressing movement go all out on it, then if you feel you need more, throw some flyes in, but tka it from some one who is rather experienced in the body building feild. you don't need to hit the muscle from every angle. the muscle contracts as a whole!

  • @BangXD Thanks man. but the thing is my chest is already pretty good but it is really bad at the bottom, so i need to work on that more than overall

  • so do these count as bicep exercises? like on my training day including biceps do i need to substitute one of these for my regular ones? or can i just add it

  • man that first overhead excercise is a killer. u really need a light weight to get perfect form.

  • thanks alot

  • really really nice i have been looking for a video like this.

  • this is good stuff i'll definately try it

  • The second exercise he did really is one that's underatted by a lot of lifters, yet doing it really builds that true "Strong look" to your arms by adding mass to the forearms and brachii

  • I never thought about this, I'm gonna try it next workout. Thanks!

  • hey star, did this exercise work to fill out your brachialis by any chance? just wanted to know, i've been lifting for a while now but my brachi just isn't getting the mass it should.

  • nah i have to say this doesn't work as it's supposed to... i used this trick many times but it seems that the brachialis muscle grows in correspondence to the entire arm growth

  • isnt that first workout a tricep workout?

  • its the other way around pulling insted of lifting

  • Nah, because the resistence is coming from a different angle, if it were free weight, then yes it's be tricep exersice

  • no. you are pulling..

  • Hello Lee Hayword. I'm trying to set up an upper body workout in 2 sections and I'm wondering what body parts I should workout together. if you have any tips i'd like to hear them. THanks!

  • chest, triceps, and shoulders are good to group together in your excersises

  • 1:40 Sorry, but this is NOT the M. brachialis, this is the M. brachio-radialis.

To train your M. brachialis you must use a supinated grip.

For the M. brachioradialis a pronated grip as at 1:40.

If you think I am wrong, please respond, but ...

  • this dude needs to work on his midsection.

    lol

  • I always thought that the brachi muscle just bring up the biceps and not build the peak.

  • 0:04 "yes mam the women restroom is over there"

  • @MegaEire BUTTFUCKER

  • @GhostOfRockyHorror HA I KNOW YOU LIKE BIG WET DONKEY DICK UP YOUR ASS ,,,,,, but dont try to covert me faggot ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • @GhostOfRockyHorror or "he went that way"

  • .......holy shit lol i never thought about doin 1:05, i'm gonna try it

  • Hammer Curls and Spider Curls are also great for the brachiialis muscle. Have a look at larry Scott Spider Curl video on youtube and he educates about the Bicep, Brachiialis and Brachioradialis.

  • i've been doing this for bout a month, 2-3 times a week, n it works! thanks loads~

  • mala, are you mad at me?

  • everyone has their own way of training and they all want u to pay for it but it doesnt work for everyone...everyone says their method is the best but it isnt really for other people...im not sure which one is the best for me so imma just drink raw eggs and chop wood or something lol

  • When doing the reverse curl, does it really matter to keep the wrist straight or can u bend it when curling up?

  • hello! 5 stars. veijo finland

  • i tried this today and it hurts like a bitch for the first while

  • Very good, looking forward to trying the pull down station one, thanks Lee :)

  • brachialis

  • excellent job. 5 stars

  • i'll def try this

  • Thanks, Lee.

  • I like all the videos u posted but don't you have one on how to build abs. I think that would help me a lot!!!!!!!!

  • Nice video Lee.

  • it was a really awesome video it probably took you guys forever to get that. great man i loved watching it keep getting your stuff out there.

  • Great video Lee, very informative.

  • good video

  • wat u mean by peak ur biceps?

  • to add hight to ur bicepts, to make them look like arnolds when he flexes his bicepts. Arnold has great example of peaked bicepts.

  • Hello, is it enough to do the second exercise, or should I do both? Thanks for the videos, they are really usefull!
