This weather system really had a foothold on much of the North American continent, namely central and Eastern parts. In Eastern Canada, large amounts of rain fell, and there were even reports of embedded t-showers due to the buoyant airmass. The situation in SW Ontario is terrible with intense bursts of snowsqualls one after the other, causing some drivers to be stranded for as much as 24 hours (this has actually become a military operation in the region).
@Rain1290 Trav, excellent synopsis of the overall event -- I saw on the TWC about the military rescue of the stranded motorists -- hope no one suffered hypothermia or frostbite. Thanks for the comment !!!
This video truly made me homesick. Even though I live in Colorado now, nothing beats a Chardon winter. Thanks for the memory!

@tornadovideostock
At some points it was nearly white out conditions -- the worst was the wind chill (around -5)
especially when I was out in it filming -- I can't film w/ gloves on (cuz of the small zoom ring)
so my hands get numb -- I worry most about my camera at those temp's (I'm pretty sure it's
not spec'd to go below zero).

I'm glad we didn't get any of this, I know Minnesota had a good portion of the blizzard.
