Why did Phoebe, or anyone, have to be treated that way? It isn't right. I can only imagine how horrible she must have felt. None of the bullies get how horrible they made her feel. How they made her family feel. What really makes me angry is that some of them probably don't even care. Even if she was suicidal before, it wouldn't matter because all they did was make it worse for her instead of making it better. :( Maybe if they had been nicer to her, Phoebe would still be alive.

Bullying is more serious then ever because of today's technology; even the president had to hold a conference to address the issue because of the recent teen suicides. I was lucky that I never experienced cyberbullying because I went to school in the days before Facebook, Myspace, and text messaging.

But there is such a thing as karma and bullies do get what they deserve in the end; I found out from an old classmate that a kid that used to bully me became a total screw up and was serving prison time for armed robbery while another was jumped by other classmates for trying to steal someone's shoes out of the locker room. The entire football team ganged up and beat the crap out of him.

A person can be fine, but when your constantly bullied and have no adult to go to about it or they ignore you then you lose all hope. When I was in the 4th grade I was bullied a lot cause I was heavy. Then on top of that I was in a unloving home. So the only escape I could think of was to die. I did attempt a suicide when I was in 4th grade, and I didn't plan it.

I'm assuming this is true because these two guys have been charged with statutory rape in her case (implying consensual sex, but Phoebe is too young to consent legally). I'm assuming this is true because these two guys have been charged with statutory rape in her case (implying consensual sex, but Phoebe is too young to consent legally). Other girls in the school were naturally jealous and tormented her for her actions. It seems to me like Phoebe could have been responsible for the hatred toward her.
