  • lol

  • watching passed 3:15 makes me feel retarded o_o

  • ha me too.

  • I like your clothes here :)

    Awesome show! Thank you!

  • she is fucking hot!

  • It's nice to have someone that makes not-english-speakers understand some things =P Thanks.

Btw... isn't this a British accent?

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you :) It's a New Zealand accent (which has changed a little from living in Japan for almost 8 years).

  • Amazing show. Really well done!

  • svenpwrenn, you're a damn fool.

She is speaking in a New Zealand accent.

    And she's kind of hot.

    So leave her alone.

  • she looks like Kiera knightly...

    Kiera...meet up?

  • [for Bluevviolet]

    >_0

  • Not bad, but for the record:

    Its not yeah... Its yes!

    Its not kaa its car!

    Its not cuul.. its cool!

and most of all for gods sake... Its not twenny its twenTy! The T is not silent! This is not English, it is Australian. And so should be titled as such. Even though it is a very sexy accent.

  • :O outraged!

PEOPLE! This is a NEW-ZEALAND accent NOT AUSTRALIAN!

WE DO NOT SOUND LIKE THIS! AAAAARRRGGGHHH!!

  • RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!

  • Ohhhh. So in the US, we don't speak English, we speak *American*. Or wait, it must be United Statesian, as not all those on the American continent speak the same language, so we can't all be speaking American. Although since I'm from Oregon, I must not speak even United Statesian, I must be speaking Oregonian! Got it. So glad someone smarter than me pointed out the error of my ways. And to think I used to think I was speaking English. I'm so embarrassed.

  • no need to be a jerk about it.

[not to sound like a jerk]

yes it may be the same language.

and maybe thing may be pronounced and spelt diffrently [some might say better, but im not saying anything]

you have to admit that people from New York speak diffrently that people from say Texas.

and the same could be said between the diffrences in accents between Canada and the US

    its just a nationalistic thing.

some people take it too far.

but at the same time its understanable.

    =]

  • Just shut up...

You're kinda being racist, ya know.

    (to svenpwrenn)

  • Wow I have to refer my friend to you ^^

  • Wow, I mean that really is a lot of work and thought for a 3 or 4 sentence e-mail...

  • Well i feel like a complete moron by being talked to in such a manor. How little about English do your normal viewers understand?

  • The Daily English Show is watched by people of all levels studying English as well as by teachers in classrooms who design activities around the videos. I'm sorry you feel like a moron ... reading the video description could be useful.

  • If I`m not misstaking.

On 5 April Kurt Cobain died.

  • thats right

  • Cool idea, conversation with you... then your response, nice... how advanced are your watchers?

As to anyone liking or disliking the "ToME" video because you featured it on your show...that's pretty lame. Only its creator should have any concern there.

I think you're doing a lovely thing; keep up the good work!

Those of us who already claim to speak English can certainly use a refresher.

  • you Cool!! thank you

  • you killed it it was a good vid but i dinnt need u to tell me y to like it so shut up! i loved hhis vid but leave well enough alone! i think some otheres will agree with me so come up with some of ure own ideas insted of responding 2 his!

  • Oh, now I get the video clip. You must be the only person that knows grammar! Thanks

  • wow

    very interesting

it would be cool if u made videos

that just had the little cartoons

    =]

  • No.

  • yes.

sorry i just feel compelled to continue muaythaiaddict's work.

but i truely love tales of mere existence.

  • truly

  • no u shut up that sucked

  • Kia ora.

    are you kiwi?

  • Yes.

  • cooool!

I spent six months in your country.

    LOVE IT!!!!

    I want to come back!

  • umm, nice? Also! Wow your teeth are so white i was all..thas m-azing! i cudnt stop staringg at them!

  • good idea and well put. why didn't you finish with the time? plus, why didnt you mention that it was ten past ELEVEN or 25 past ELEVEN? students will end up mentioning just the minutes. also, why didnt you mention the informal but widely used form of telling the time: it's eleven twenty-five?

    (that's just feedback, not critisizing)

  • it was pretty good at first but then it was kinda dumn then it was realy stupid with da clock thing but if it wher cut to just da first part it would be realy good.♥

  • Awsome good! Far out! It's excellent for teaching purposes.

As of now, I become you #1 fan.

Wish you all the success in the world!

    I invite to visit me.

  • Por Dios! ...ok...

  • unless it's attached to an ID i'd keep the money. years ago i found a checkbook, i returned it to the address on the check, but later i found a $10 bill on the ground and pocketed it.

  • the clock confused my brain

  • This is really good. It's kind of interesting to think about it from the point of a non-native speaker.

  • loved it

  • since when has english people thuoght that 'some' always has to mean more than one?

  • not english people, english students = people who learn/study english.

  • i think you should get hired for jobs like this..

  • i thought it was pretty good for explaining what things meant in english.

  • lev rocks!

  • I explained it for people who are learning English.

  • I loved your video, I think you are really good

  • thx!

  • Lev's video was awesome but you don't need this in depth video to explain it. It really is quite simple. Ready? 1. Women read way too much into everything so Lev used very simple & casual words to ensure that his intension/message would not be misunderstood. 2. Next to absence, envy is another sure fire way to a womans heart. I can't speak for new zealand women only American women.

  • NZ REPRESENT!

  • i watched it all i think its cuz that girls cute ^^

  • haha that was pretty interesting

    gd job here

  • So why did you?

  • LOL ")

  • ^^ lmao, good one!!

  • omg...get tha head off :p

  • I didn't - nay couldn't, watch 'til the end, but is this a really useful english students tool? Oh, and buy an auto-cue. This comment contains no artificial messages, additives or 'subtext'.

  • "its"!!!!! you can use words like "nuance" but not words like "its"?? you're insane.

  • Plenty insane

    Got no brain!

    Insane in the membrane

    Insane in the brain!

  • how can you be insane of brain, when by your claim you've "got no brain"

    such absurdism I disdain

it irks me like a poorly done rhyme

  • there was a young lady sheep lover

with the poetry skills of a trucker

_ says her brain membrane's screwey

_ perhaps caused by the sushi

which I always have thought is poor tucker.

  • RIGHT ON!!!

  • I LOVE THE SOUND OF CRUNCHING SNOW!

  • Kimono? Yeah its a kimono. My wife is Vietnamese yeah, kimono.

  • Gah!

    Hynotising!

    Can't! Stop! Watching!... :)

  • Meah. ^^

  • Perhaps the most unique clip I have seen on YouTube. I had no idea New Zealand could produce such a fascinating intellect as yours. I even ran this very comment through a spellcheck just to ensure it wouldn't be under scrutiny. I can't exactly explain why, but I decided to subscribe. I'm highly intrigued as to what your future entries will be like. Good work.

  • Wow, this accent is really interesting.

  • :) analysis.

    Is that a kimono?

  • great video!

  • why do you call it 'the daily english show' when you're not english...

  • It's about the English language. I'm speaking a dialect of English.

  • Truly bizarre Dont know why I started watching it but couldn't stop What time is it? What time is it? What time is it? What time is it? What time is it? What time is it? I think I'm hypnotised... help me...

  • the stick girl in the beginin is soooo damn scary!!!

  • honoustly i dont c the point of it but for some reason i just wanted to watch it ...

  • your not really an ideal english teacher as you speak with your nose. English is mainly spoken with the mouth.

  • you're

  • Weird.

That was ridiculously soothing and almost trippy. Going to bed now.

  • WHAT THE HELL!!!! thats the craziet sh*T ive EVER seen

  • "What kind of idiot would throw money away?!" --hilarious!

  • you + me = a good thing. think about it. ;)

  • right.

  • Are you from South Africa?

  • No... same hemisphere though. New Zealand.

  • Wow. Amazing. Fantastic.

    That aside, very thought provoking.

As for the falling money, I'd grab as many trash-bag-fulls as I could, and THEN ponder ethics.

The bit reflecting that world time has only one thing in common was interesting.

FYI at least 5 Backspace edits on this little message =)

  • Lol,check this out:

Funny Morning Musume English Lesson P1/2 (Sub)

  • Hello, hey , hi, Yo, whazzup. hiya. hallo. All the same meaning., woohoo

  • this video seems really pointless all you did was repeat what is said in "subtext", making no paricularly new points and then a random news bulletin and then talk about the time!? i dont get it what's the show about???

  • It's for people studying English. My point was to introduce the video... explain what it was about, introduce a few words.

  • I'd pick up the money and pretend to call the police ha

  • Even if no one sees you, the money could still be counterfeit, and if you pass it, you're in big trouble...
