@clarkcommando True Cuba did not end up like it was originally intended to but you have to think of the circumstances the country has encountered since the revolution. The states' sanctions on Cuba is the biggest reason the country isn't where it should be. With that said, I've been to Cuba a number of times and the people are friendly, educated, and resilient. It's clear that Cuba is better off than many south american countries even with the states' attempt to sabotage them.

Whilst he was trying to "liberate" S.A. he was using english funds, until we came to indebted and our generals and soldiers became english. @clarkcommando Everybody knows that Simon Bolivar's name is being used because we've been taught since primary that he's some sort of God. The truth is Simon is idolized therefore it's easy to use his name to motivate masses of people who've had no political education or education whatsoever. Chavez knows it. I know it and members of the Venezuelan Assembly (where I have been and attended lectures in) know it.

He is supposedly buried in the National Pantheon near Caracas.Whether O'Leary is a fraud,is not for me to decide.

@clarkcommando True Cuba did not end up like it was originally intended to but you have to think of the circumstances the country has encountered since the revolution. The states' sanctions on Cuba is the biggest reason the country isn't where it should be. With that said, I've been to Cuba a number of times and the people are friendly, educated, and resilient. It's clear that Cuba is better off than many south american countries even with the states' attempt to sabotage them.

The truth is Simon is idolized therefore it's easy to use his name to motivate masses of people who've had no political education or education whatsoever. Chavez knows it. @SilasAndSheba No.(2):Just to back up and clarify the accuracy of my statements.You may be familiar with General Daniel Florence O'Leary,aid-de-camp for Simon Bolivar.His documented manuscipts/memoirs of Bolivar throughout the campaigns to liberate SA,was ordered to be burned them,but O'Leary disobeyed those orders.He published these manuscripts before his own death in 1830. He is supposedly buried in the National Pantheon near Caracas.Whether O'Leary is a fraud,is not for me to decide.

Che killed people who raped peasents, informants, people stealing rations, dissertion, war criminals, etc. More than 20,000 people (mostly cubans) were killed from the former leader of cuba and you call Che a killer? The author himself who uncovered Ches gravesite himeself find no credible resource in where Che killed an innocent. A failed revolutionary? He liberated Cuba himself. And the author that wrote the book of Che's biography moved to Havana and had unprecedented access to personal archives maintained by Che's widow.He talked to Che's old friends in Argentina, he interviewed his comrades which he fought with, and talked to people in both Moscow and the CIA.
