I'm 18 now, have had a Bear and Sons live bali for a few months now (can't remember model, but I believe one of Jeffs vids) The blade play started well but loosened a lot. I have another offbrand from a gunshow. again, loose play on that as well. I prefer the lighter, thinner one (non-Bear one) because the Bear just feels too thick for me. However it was nice to try to work on tricks with the bear first then the lighter one is easier. Don't mind the Bear just prefer the lighter one.

I know this video is old so is the Bear 4" black cast metal trainer still the best alternative to a 200$ knife? If so should I try for the real blade? Or is the trainer built better for some reason?? i have a fury trainer. its good for noobs like me but it uses screws i think and the handles get loosened quite fast. nothing a hexscrew kit cant fix though. for only 12.50 its really worth it.

@Mraznkid99 i'm 10 so i got a toy balisong. it has a latch so i'm pretty sure it works the same as a real one. i mean why use a latch if it's so hard to open you have to use two hands like an army multi purpose tool? it opens like the "butterfly" style but it's strong so you use 2 hands. when you're fighting you don't want the tool opening and have pliers (replaces the butterfly blade) clipping your butt. i know because my dad has one.

you could get a balicomb. there are two downfalls. they have pins that stop the handles from hittin to hard that can fall out but that can be glued in. and the handles will come very loose. but you just need to find a really small wrench to tighten it. im gettin such a wrench TOMMOROW AND ILL BE ABLE TO DO THE FOUR FLIPS AND COUNTING I NO AGAIN
