@necro1143 I'm not say your opinion is wrong but Zoltan Bathory from "five finger death punch" uses diamond for metal and it sounds pretty badass...but then again he uses a good amount of effects
well my opinion the cleans are ok but the distortion sounds very muffy i dont really dig it if i want something with good distortion i would go mesa dual rectifier or the peavey 6505 5150 ll but over all it is a good rock amp but i would not want to use for metal.

Oh the humanity, this guy can't play a heavy riff , he wouldn't even if his life was depended on it. Plus the way he has the amp set up it sounds thin and crappy...
hey is this good for any style of metal cuz im in a band and i would love to have one of these when i turn fourteen and get a job this year on my birthday im probably gonna save up for this but good for any type of metal?
WHY THE FUCK CAN NO ONE PUT OUT A GOOD DEMO OF THESE AMPS they sound so fucking good in person when i get this thing i'm putting one on youtube as a response to this horrible video
@headbagger63 No shit ive owned mine now for just about a year and its one of the most brutal amps ive herd and there damn loud, not one good demo out there.....yet
I have this amp. This guy doesnt do it justice at all. If you like a nice crunch with a sweet upper midrange this is the shit. I play with the dirty channel's gain set on 3/10 and your can play lamb of god style riffs
Man, this video's sound quality takes a serious nosedive when Paul switches to the high gain channel. Can barely stand to listen to it. Clean channel was recorded nicely though...
it might just be that he fucked up in the way he set up the camera/sound gear etc before he sat in the chair and did the review... but if it sound's as muffled as that in real time i'd rather shell out more money and buy somethinf from ENGL
One would think that such a professional team such as these guys would have taken the time to set up a mike properly and do this amp justice. The guitar is a bit dark in its tonal color as well ... They should redo this demo, its not fair to Diamond amps.. or to us who want to hear whats what... sounds like its underwater.
okay nitrox is good on clean in fact tha best on clean that i've ever heard but, tha gain is pretty weak to me id that i would you a metal zone for that
now a days, 1999$ for a Boutique Style amp is damn cheap. the same thing in ENGL or Diezel will be a LOT more expensive. i'm going to check this baby out this week. Hopefully, get back from the shop with one in hand..:)
How can you judge this amp by how this video sounds? First of all, you cannot see the cab, or the mic used. It could be just the camera mic to be honest. This is more of a feature showcase than anything, in my opinion. If you want to judge the amp, check it out in person before buying (should go without saying). I'm sure it will impress in person.
i think it's only muffled because it's really loud and the signal tone and are very dirty cause i have heard and played this thing it doesn't sounds like this, AT ALL it's all true what he said.
These are built with boutiqe craftsmanship, but they're not boutiqe amps anymore. Every bit as good though, I would go as far to say these go beyond boutiqe.
whatever do you wanna play, the Spec op is projected for DROP D tune, amazing, but i'm using in Standard tune, and the gain on 6, that's more the enough for me, really ROCK amp
His vocals sounded better (clearer) than the amp... I'm gonna look for other videos with better definition of the amp cause my Orange RV50 sounds better from my current perspective.
Well Orange do make some seriously sick amps. I know Zoltan from FFDP uses the Nitrox so I wanted to see what it was about, and the best I got was from Diamond's own site which has a couple sound clips. I still like my RV50 better. I love comedy and sometimes I do crack a few good jokes or humorous points, but I'm no comedian.
@eman120730 Amps are expensive. As are instruments in general. Buy an amp that you are currently happy with. Stash some money away and when you are ready make the big move. Professional amps aren't supposed to be purchases made out of the front of your wallet. It's no different than buying a professional saxaphone or piano.
