@ optibotimus FIXING THE GAP ABOVE WINDSHIELD IN TRUCK MODE!! I have two of these figures and the problem is actually because the head is not connected to the ball joint properly. Unscrew the head piece and make sure that it is actually connected properly. when connected properly, it moves the head forward slightly allowing the panel to turn under a little further allowing the top of the truck/feet to become flush with the windshield lights and adding several degrees more of head articulation.

The legs are rather fiddly in vehicle mode with both versions and you have to pull and tug a bit to straighten them out so all of the wheels rest on the ground and the rear half is actually straightened out visually. You might want to actually glue the smoke stacks in place so they stay put, but that's just a suggestion. I agree regarding the sword and gun and I think using them to create custom weapons that corrects the issues would be beneficial to the figure (should have 2 of each anyway).

I got my first edition today and regarding the head, mine wasn't on properly. It actually popped off when I tried to make him look upwards, and that's when I saw that the head needed to be pushed forward towards the chest (quite hard as well) in order for it to snap on properly. It now has good motion all directions.

Well, after watching this i went and picked up the "release" version of Optimus Prime from Argos here in the UK (tho, on the box it says Voyager yet they call it Powerizor?)

Its NOTHING like the first release, transformation is different, the over-all clean look of the "First Edition" is lost on the release version...

Such a shame, as i had high hopes...the gun is gone, replaced with a cheap mech-tech gimmick, the sword is replaced with something completely different...Tho nice, its a let down

Try taking the head apart

On my figure the ball wasn't in the socket but once assembled properly he's head can look up&down

if it works Please do an update for it.

p.s. You can also attach the sword to the bottom of the gun.
