what is the difference between a wide Chest Fly and a close Chest Fly? will the small one decrease the chess muscle? and the big one make them bigger?
hey i have a question, im lifting weights since yesterday and i do it every day 50 times. And my question is: do i get a bigger chest, bigger arms and a sixpack if i do this for like 4 weeks? or do i need to do extra exercises for lower abs? and does my lower abs increase too or do they stay the same?
I'm 13 only, 203lbs of solid, dope free power and I can chest fly over 100lb dumbbells NATURALLY, no drugs, and with perfect form, plus look good doing it!
i know youre supposed to (0:55) "exhale as you press it in front, inhale as you return" but why? i think its easier that way but you can do whatever works for you..right??
whenever i do chest flies i only do like 10 lbs in each hand yet it kills my arms(not in a good way, it feels like im straining or injuring my biceps)
i would say this is one of the better chest exercises, but it takes time to get used to the motion. keep a good posture and keep the weight light at first, make good habits.
is there any alternative exercise for this, I mean something like chest fly but not on this machine. Asking cause I don't have it at my gym. Please reply
I use this machine all the time - I do 15-12-8 and then immediately decrease the weight by 10lbs for a quick 3 or 4 reps, decrease by 10 lbs. again and rep out. Awesome burn.
@saavedramarcelo Typically anything above ten reps should only be done in 3 sets. Any more than that constitutes as over training unless you only plan to do one or two exercises for a body part. As you lower the reps, you can increase the number of sets. Example: the average weight lifter usually does 4 sets of 8. But, lets say you want to train for more strength and go down to 6 reps, then you can do 5 sets.
@terrapatra You can't be serious? If lifting a 10 pound dumbell makes you pass out then try working on cardio. After a while, start with about 5 pounds dumbells and after a couple weeks increase the weight a bit as you feel yourself getting stronger. I'm not responsible if you get hurt using this method, though. ;) Make sure to do 15 reps per day for five days a week while following this routine. If you start to feel woozy, let go and take a break and possibly visit a doctor.
What is the most important difference between this and dumbells/benchpress? Is this more something for beginners because you nearly can't do it wrong, or is there anything else?
a press will generally develop the depth in your chest where as a flye will help with width and the outer areas. flyes are very important and always will be
well...benching actually works whole lots of muscles like triceps n biceps...but pec fly usually focuses on chest.........but benching is a very important workout....it builds your overall strength
hmmm may be just different technique, but advice from some experts is that the hands should not touch each other in front, you should leave a bit of a gap, say about a fist width
I think thats more of a personal taste. I always do the flyer at the end of my chest training and like to pull it slowly all together then let it spread a little then press together again and then release it slowly.
can anyone tell me if this is a good exercise for the inner chest cause the outer part of my chest is nice but the inner is complete garbage, there is absolutly nothing there and i need to find a workout that really targets the inner chest
If you're talking about that middle line between your chest then think of the bench press except instead of putting your hands on the far sides of the bar, move then close to the middle. The more you move your hands towards the middle of the bar the more the middle of your chest has to work.
a Nice workout would be a Super Set, 6 reps break 15 seconds 3 reps more break 15 seconds and the reps as far you can , thats all the exercise por chest at the day. The Next Day you will Feel how your muscles are very congestioned
Great, thanks for the tip - I was always spreading my arms out too wide open when doing chest flies. But I have problems exhaling when contracting my muscles - and that is with any exercise I do. Any tips please? Is it a matter of getting use to it?
