~ I didn't know we had them when we first moved here. I first saw them a few months ago. We have a ton of small critters around here. The Turkey Vultures are scavengers and eat road kill and what they can find.
We have hawks too, but I shoo them away. I don't want them killin' the squirrels and chipmunks I feed. There are plenty of hunting grounds around us for them, so I don't feel guilty chasing them away.
@StowAlex you are so lucky to have all this around you! I worship nature and her creatures and all else. This is such a great spot to live!!! And how beautiful those feathers looked shining in the sun!

Such a wonderful and beautiful bird in my opinion. They're huge down where I live in Salem, Ohio, all that good country eating, lol.
