The Beast is weapon best used on defense, so if you are pushing the cart you're probably better off with any of the other guns. And what do you mean not a skill-based game? You can definitely tell the difference between a veteran player and an unskilled F2P still learning the game.

Thats not the reason this gun sucks, Your basically a walking headshot to snipers and Ambassador spies.

@Hwboy3 All of the Heavy's primary weapons make him a walking target. The Brass Beast makes it even easier, but most snipers can hit you in the head anyway, unless they're being shot. No smart Heavy has his gun spinning up out in the open where he can be picked off by snipers.

The gun's real problem is that it takes so long to wind up and so thoroughly destroys your ability to maneuver, you'll probably be killed by the first demoman or soldier you meet. It's a defensive weapon.
