  • Hey woah where can I download that F-15SX?!

  • @StrigonLead Nowhere... It was never released... It was just a test model for XML animations and stuff like that and it's really old, it's almost two years old. It didn't have a VC. I started adding one this summer but work got in the way and I never restarted it... If you look on the description you can see one of the WIP textures Mike made this summer for the plane...

  • @youdontknowxpand it looks beautiful, at least from a distance. will you ever be releasing it? the only good F-15S/MTD-like model is yours, from the Electrosphere package. the others are complete trash. yours looks really good (and it can do a FREAKIN COBRA!)

so yea. you should stick it on simviation. you have at least one guaranteed download :P

  • @StrigonLead I guess... I'll probably remove the developing VC and release it only with a HUD like in the Electrosphere planes... Gotta see if I can do that tomorrow because it's already 1:30 AM here... Shouldn't take long... I'll gather all the textures I already have in it and post it at simv. No youtube video though. But there is one called "Silver Eagle an FSX film" that showcases the original plane 2 years ago...

  • So if I've got this right, you designed all of these with free software and imported them into FSX? Are you like an aerospace engineer or something? Hell, I still don't know how to use GMAX.

  • @BlackhoundOne Yes. I'm not an engineer, I'm still on my first year of college. And my course is physics engineering. I made those by learning from trial and error and asking people that knew about aerodynamics. I learned some stuff but it's not even close to make one fly in real life. Safely that is...

  • @youdontknowxpand do you know what program I could use to model a VC of ARX 5 or to make changes on tailwheel and to make cockpit to open.

  • @RCHelios1 well, for FSX I use gmax (free) though you are unable to import the FS model into gmax. And if you can you'll have to sepatate all the parts (cause the plane is imported as one big object instead of the individual parts) reanimate them and retexture the whole plane. So, basically, you are better off if you make a whole new plane...
