There should be a solo for the guitar from 2:06 to 2:20 and what's up with the ending it just randomly ends. The guitar is supposed to be playing that twice then it ends lol.
@Damon163 Simply because there's a part in the middle of the song where the vocalist isn't singing and a guitar is playing doesn't mean there's a solo.
If you're talking about the lead line in the background, it might be because it's actually a synth part. That's not quite an excuse as we have seen examples of other instruments being charted to guitar, sometimes both guitar and other parts (Icky Thump, Shining Star, Smokin', etc.)
It seems like they go all or nothing. If they can manage to chart only guitar, they do it to be "accurate," i guess. But as soon as they decide to chart other instruments, they go nuts with it.
"Solo" means that the instrument stands out above the rest for a period of time. It does not necessarily mean that it is the only instrument playing. For example, the guitar solos in Free Bird have a full band backing them up.
So #1, you're a fucking moron.
#2, the part in the song is 10 seconds of outstanding drumming that truly shines above every other instrument. The drummer takes center stage for that period, making it a solo (or a really long drum fill).
You're right about point #1, but 7(not 10) seconds is a pretty shitty length for a solo that isn't an obscene show of skill. A moderately long fill is a good way to describe it.
On that note, the guitar part from 2:06 - 2:20 shouldn't be a solo for similar reasons. Although really it's just a repeating pattern of chords anyway so who cares.
@Nosebleed101 This is the album version which uses an octave note solo the actually like fast multiple note solo was only used in their early demo version
Guitar hero is better, but rock band have wayyyyyyyy better downloadable content

I know that. But I think it would fit to be a solo.

@1:48
wtf? why isn't the guitar playing the same notes?
I mean, I know that some bands have two guitars, one on lead, and one as backup, but, I dunno, it just strikes me as odd

This song looks crazy fun. I'm probably going to get it pretty soon after seeing those notecharts for Guitar and Drums.

I know no one cares, but this song was in Band Hero DS as well. At least they didn't censor "drunk" here.

Thunder may be the least appropriate on-disc RB song. I dunno how I feel about this chart, but I would've much preferred the song.

Not to be whatever, but I swear this is a different version... I swear.
The one I know actually has a guitar solo in it. Maybe I am crazy.

@Nosebleed101 i thought 2:06-2:20 like a mini guitar solo, but i guess they didn;t feel like charting it as such
SamPlasticGamer 1 year ago
@SamPlasticGamer Yeah, Idk, this just sounds different to me. I guess they didn't chart it. No big deal, still a good song.
Nosebleed101 1 year ago
@SamPlasticGamer I always thought that the intro would be charted as a drum solo, but Harmonix didn't feel like charting that either...
splync 1 year ago
@splync It's not a fucking drum solo you moron. It's called Solo for a reason.
