Seriously by the looks of your casting and inability to set the hook on the fish. I imagine you take no care with handeing the fish and i can't even see an unhooking mat. Seriously i wouldn't fish if i didn't know what i was doing.

You shouldn't be telling new anglers to make little hooklength to put on the line as bobbins because if it did fall on the floor like you said it dose then a bird or dog or anything can stand on it
Fairenough thrying to save money with the swinger but if youve got a hook and you strike the hook will go flying what about if it goes in youre bivvy or on the bank and a dog walks on it , its cheap but buy some proper ones that cant at whatever cost damage the enviroment or animals inc youreelf
