I am an african who has lived there for a long time, i do not know where they dance like this...most of the dances i have watched are much more calmer but still have the african spirit
@tiannagal4u well i suggest you don't learn so you wont become a joke. because this dance is stereotypical. people in africa MOST RELEVANTLY -- WEST AFRICA don't dance like this at all. instead u should look up music from certain african countries and they will most likely be dancing traditionally. :)
@relaxitzjustkrystal May I ask..Whats the difference between African and African American people other then where we were born? African..African American,,were both Black People... :)
@guillmon9005 theres a big difference! black people don't understand anything about their native customs. if an african child came to the united states the most insults they'd get is from an african american. if you were to go to a country in africa u'd observe the country and make a generalization for the whole CONTINENT. most africans are stereotypically well educated while african americans are stereotypically highschool dropouts. we are equal, but we are not the same. etc, etc
@Shar8043 not every dance has a meaning. and there is no such thing as a west african dance. west africa is made up of COUNTRIES lol people from congo dance way different than people in nigeria etc. u will not find this dance anywhere in "west africa" but their footwork is on point
Love dis :))
Whats the name of this? i wanna know.

@1ellafitz This is definitely not WEST african. People should specify the place because there are thousands of dances in Africa.
