  • wow!

  • @ekpcochrane how low can you get? @mrmrgeorgieboy please find a good church in your town, the bible is a great thing to study, but if you are troubled, it helps to talk to like minded people

  • jason mraz skmokes weed he sings meaningful songs some even with god im confused?! should i stop listining to him if i want to be a better christian?!HELP!?!?! and also is smoking marijuana bad for my christian life?! it helps me relax and think abou god and such?!!?! HELP!? ASAP!! thaks

  • @mrmrgeorgieboy I don't listen to Jason Mraz, but if it's anything like other pop music today then I would say stop listening to it. Marijuana would also be something that you should stop. It's bad for your brain ( it kills brain cells). Just serve God! :D

  • @Brand0n777 its actually not pop not even close its jazz and marijuana dosent kill brain cells but i did stop just to be safe from sin lol

  • @mrmrgeorgieboy Well that's good lol

  • @mrmrgeorgieboy Your an idiot...go kill yourself.

  • People try to tell me oh weed is made by God therefore it's good for you, but I know it's not good for your consumption. Cause in the mist of doing it you can become depressed and paranoid and all these other emotions that are not good. It doesn't make you feel like anything, God is the best Drug over-dose on him if that makes sense :)

  • Shawn McDonald is truly an amazing example of what God can go for our lives. His music touches do many lives. Maybe even has saved a few - probably more than a few let's be honest. I know his music has helped God speak to me!! Now I'm turning my life around and getting ready to go back to college and finally make something of myself!!! Praise God!!!

  • one thing people don't know though is that bob marley gave his life to Christ before he died...his music before wasnt exactly God's message but he did become Christian.

  • God Bless you shawn! :) this jus shows me that not even my mistakes can Define me! i need to let God in my heart once again! ...thank you! <3

  • Drugs took over me, I would've done almost anything for a high. Now? I wouldn't take a truck load of free drugs. God is my favorite addiction <3 and the high He gives me is so much better than any other that I've ever experienced.

  • @medic61310 YES SO TRUE

  • @TheStuntKids100 Thank you:) It's hard to imagine that when you're so bound by addiction...but it's the truth. God Bless you.

  • @medic61310 God Bless you 2, Holy Spirit highs are way better than any drug

  • I love his music! lol God is good.

  • It takes a person to look over themselves and know something is wrong and ask God for help and forgiveness! This video was a blessing! God is real!

  • Religion is the real enslavement.

  • @Realitydenizen That's why Jesus taught us not to be Religious but to follow God and his word and his teachings.

  • @PuertoRicanTakeOva Believing in a god is what religion is.

Your jesus was lying-- there is no god.

  • @Realitydenizen Hopefully you dont get deceived when the anti-christ creates a 1 world government & starts stamping people. If you're 1 of them that gets stamped then theres no redemption. Israel reformed as a Nation in 1948 after almost 2000 years of being scattered. The only nation in HUMAN history. That is Yahweh's nation & the messiah is returning soon. Many end times prophecies are being fulfilled as we speak and in the passed 70 years. If you ever read hebrew manuscript you would see that

  • @PuertoRicanTakeOva Yeah, humans are easily deceived.

That's why evidence is so important. Where is some evidence for these weird claims you're making? Prophesies in some book from 2000 years ago aren't sufficient, I don't believe in magic.

"If you ever read hebrew manuscript you would see that" Provide a good translation and we'll see if I "see that" or if I still think the bible is full of shit.

  • @Realitydenizen And that sir is the great deception. My heart hopes that you take the time to actually learn the wisdom of the bible and try to understand God's word before making a decision. After all, isn't that the fair thing to do? Understand something before actually disregarding it for what you think it is? It is your decision either way and the fact that GOD allowed you the free will to choose which shows you were made not as a slave because slaves are held against their will.

  • @PuertoRicanTakeOva "After all, isn't that the fair thing to do?" < Oh, I do understand. Your bible is a hateful, violent book. Your god loves torture to such an extent that he will supposedly torture SIX BILLION people alive today who don't believe in him. Superstitious bullshit.

"you were made not as a slave because slaves are held against their will."

Your bible supports slavery. It also supports the rape of young slave girls.

  • @Realitydenizen I think you misunderstand these things. You debunk it because you perceive it evil. The bible does NOT support, BUT brings to light the existence of slavery. If it did not do this then it would be hiding truth that slavery had it's place in history, no? and it can not be called the truth if it's hiding facts from us. It also brings to light the wicked things that have been done in human history because that is what was done. The bible doesn't hide the truth of our own wickedness.

  • @PuertoRicanTakeOva " If it did not do this then it would be hiding truth that slavery had it's place in history, no?"

It specifically tells you that if you have a slave girl, you can rape her. If you rape a girl, you must then pay her father five pieces of silver and then you own her. If you beat a slave with a rod and the slave dies as a result of the beating you must be punished, but otherwise it's OK.

The bible itself is a wicked, racist, hateful book. Jesus is a mass murderer.

  • @Realitydenizen God in this passage was regulating things that were already being done so there was compensation involved because these things were being done at the time by slave owners. You are taking the text out of context and individualizing it as a general standard which is what many cherry pickers do when they criticize without evaluating the era, time and people involved. How is the bible racist, and how is Jesus a mass murderer?

  • @PuertoRicanTakeOva " God in this passage was regulating things that were already being done"

Sounds like your god was not actually all-powerful.

    This is stupid.

"How is the bible racist, and how is Jesus a mass murderer?" << Read about the massacre of the midians, and about amalek. Also your god (your silly jesus) murdered millions in the flood. He murdered billions of animals for no reason.

Also your god likes torture. Your religion is stupid and hateful.

  • @PuertoRicanTakeOva "is what many cherry pickers do when they criticize without evaluating the era, time and people involved. "

So your god changed the laws. Your god was inconsistent.

This is stupid. Where is the evidence proving that your inconsistent, hateful torture lord exists at all except as a figment in the imagination of a bunch of desert goat herdsmen?

  • @Realitydenizen No actually God is the same he was, is and always will be. I understand you do not want to believe in God because maybe you have done some things you feel you will get judged by but God is merciful and if you repent, humble yourself and turn from sin and realize that Yahushua, the son of God carried your sins you will be cleansed. There are people who try their best to resist God bc they are afraid of judgment, and fail to understand that God is justice, merciful and brings peace

  • 3:20 "It scared me enough to where i would listen"...the heartcry of every christian

  • IM A DEMON

  • Praise our ever loving God! God's abundant blessings forever be with you and yours, Shawn!

  • Shawn's music has touched my life and has brought me closer to God. :) It's incredible what God can do.

  • American bullshit.

Pychedlic drugs bring so much more than God can ever bring you.

  • @chaincells No, illicit drugs corrupt, damage, destroy and maul. Breaking away from them is freedom, staying or going into is enslavement.

    Cows are my friends.

  • @Herkeless Living in an environnement where you can take drugs safely because evryone knows what it truly does. A society where people are giving eachother the chance to find out where life's a bout for that particular person.

This is making me suck. But in the eyes of religious Americans I'm probably just a stupid European dude who likes to brag about the fact there are 5 times less drug victims, murders, etc.

  • @chaincells What? I can't understand what you just said...

  • @chaincells ok so how do you feel after the weed or drugs effects are gone?

  • @err1988 After pychadelic drugs like LSD, Shrooms, Mescaline, DMT i most of the time feel a lot happier for a few days. Also I have learned to enjoy things in life like nature, food (not fastfood but more oriental food and differend spices), and being happy with my familly and friends.

After weed I most of the time feel 'fresh' or 'fit' but I'm a regular smoker so for people that smoke once a week/month the effect stays longer and they will probably stay a little sleepy.

  • @err1988

But drugs like cocaine/amfetamine/alcohol/tabacco/valium etc really messed up my mind and body. I felt worse for days after these drugs. These are the drugs that really 'destroy' your cells, and instead of forcing you to think and solve your problems (like on a LSD/shroom trip) they just keep you far away from them.

  • His testimony is almost exactly like mine, that's awesome! Praise God!

  • So what was his problem?

  • this made me cry! I LOVE GOD SO MUCH <3 He's so amazing <3

  • god damn hippies...wheres cartman when you need him.Its REEFER MADNESS!!! LMAO

  • big deal. marijuana is an herb that heals, its even mentioned in the bible

  • @mr76dukestah What verse?

  • @TheYamspot ok its not lol but it still is just another herb that heals the soul, hell why cant it be used spiritually to get closer to god

  • @mr76dukestah Where?

  • @whippersnippingprick Gods love and grace isnt only for the good thing or just the bad things or only just one thing. Gods love is eternal and never ending, and no matte how many times you mess up, he doesnt leave you, no life is not monopoly. Life on earth is just our waiting place for heaven or regretably hell. i mean listen to the words of this video. listen closely and try it out. try to love and you might not, cause God will change your life. i hope you soon realize how much God loves you.

  • @73gummybears That's where love defeats itself. When you're a God and have everything, not only is it rather meaningless when you've got plenty to give, but wouldn't you have better things to do than focus on some little experiment? I think God made us because one day he got up on the wrong side of the bed and said 'I feel like being a mean prick, why not make a new, expendable species with an ultimatum: They're gonna be obedient puppets, or they're gonna be free then disposed of to Hell later.'

  • Don;t target weed God created weed!!! And God is all!!! Praise jesus!!! :)

  • all the hippies died, non survive from the the 70`s

  • Wow ! Amazing testimony, crazy how God blessed him with a musical career, seems like it fits his character perfectly! God is good all the time.

  • GOD is a GOD of deliverance,,, :)

  • @jcking33 HOLY CRUD GODS A DELIVERY MAN?!?!?!

  • @g0dl1k30111 it's the way of God my friend, he was saved from the devil. isn't that pretty clear? even if god isn't real. THOUGH I BELIEVE THAT WITH ALL THAT I AM, it still made him a better person, have better life and feel a lot better about himself.

  • What do they mean... "AND EVEN RASTAFARIANISM"?...CBN really pisses me off sometimes. Anyway, the point is I'm happy for Shawn it's awesome that he changed his life for the Lord. God Bless him :)

  • @atlasshrugged2u Because it's a religion. They call it a "movement," but it's a religion. It was founded by Marcus Garvey (1887-1940), a black Jamaican who taught in the 1920s and is considered a second John the Baptist. Garvey taught that blacks were the "true" Israelites exiled to Jamaica. Emperor Ras Tafari Makonnen (a.k.a Haile Selassie) took the titles, "Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Elect of God and King of the Kings of Ethiopia." Among other things...

  • Shawn is real and transparent about his life and that is just so refreshing. I pray that we all learn to love and lift each other up as Christians. Shawn, I hear so much love in your lyrics. Those who are forgiven much, love much and your story is beautiful. I've been a fan for years but am excited to see you in concert for the 1st time in Decatur, soon. Whenever I "need me some Jesus" like Beth Moore says... ;-) and I'm driving... I listen to Captivated. God bless!!

  • wow shawn.. your right you are delusional. Invisible friends don't exist. sorry bud.

  • @MenacetooSobriety Jesus isn't invisible. believe it or not, he's workin gin your life too.

  • wow almost just like my life before i found truth

  • he uses way too much product in his hair. looks like he got caught in a rainstorm.

  • All i see are replies for arguments! Guy's we are on the same team here... Lets praise God and Love Jesus... Great story Shawn!

  • @jmmm74 - To true, no religion does have a argument though ... Only logic, reason, & science offer a path to truth ...

  • @deftonesfan4l1fe The bible says NOT to alter your mindset in any way. meaning smoking is a SIN. If you smoke doesnt mean you wont go to heaven God's grace is huge. the bible doesnt say if you smoke you will not go to heaven BUT if you are a true believer you will try to be christ like respecting the fact that altering your mind in any way is wrong.

  • Amazing and beautiful story Shawn. Praise God for your achievements. Gory be to God.

  • I know that Christianity has it problems. We all need to stop anger with Christians. Christians have been missed informed and Bible is a very week source. Once again, Ego, however, is only partially successful in shielding us from pain. It is the dissatisfaction which accompanies ego's struggle that inspires us to examine what we are doing. Since there are always gaps in our self-consciousness, some insight is possible.

Be patient no one here is right...

  • Another talentless ,brain damaged, twit trades dope for bronze age superstition !!! HOORAY !!!

  • @MaitreyaRocket Dope took him no where and God took him to the top.. He is now a very talented and successful musician he is now married and performing all over the world.. GOOD TRADE OFF I SAY..!! Wow God really is amazing..!!!!!!!!

  • @cguiton10 - I wouldn't call trading one deluded mindset for another delusion a good trade ...

  • @MaitreyaRocket A nobody that did drugs to a top christian recording artist? A VERY GOOD trade off.>!! God is so good. Here is another example of how good he is you should open your eyes and take a look. from jail to the billboard top songs in less then 5 years wow.. That is the God i serve.

  • @cguiton10 - Xtians tend to forget the next step after they manage to put a few nickels together...isn't he supposed to give it all up now as commanded by Christ ? How does someone changing their mind equate to evidence for a supernatural entity ? Please, walk me through the steps of that logic ...

  • @MaitreyaRocket No why would he need to give it up? God blessed him with that. God is our spiritual father and WANTS us to be successful. He has blessed Shawn and now Shawn will use his blessing to touch people for the rest of his life. Shawn does NOT need to give anything up. God is waiting for the non-believers to say God i believe in you because the bible says he has blessing WAITING for YOU specifically he is just waiting for you to ask and say u believe in him. You DONT give them back.

  • Over and over the bible has been proven accurate. And btw? You wanna show me a single shred of evidence that we came from anything but Adam or eve? It's funny how when ppl don't want to admit that the bible is real they say everything in it was symbolic.

  • All because GOD loved us first!! 1 John 4:19 AMEN!! AMEN!!

  • that there is a God and you are truly missing out.

  • Who cares the point is that God exists and we cannot understand His methods. I personally know a guy that died (declared dead by doctors in the ER) and 20 minutes later came back to life. He was an extreme atheist before this and since he has given his entire life to travel the world and evangelize. That is absolutely ignorant to say it was not a worthy sacrifice when you are too focused on yourself to even admit that God has power over you. Think what you want, but i know for an absolute fact

  • It doesn't truly matter what or where Heaven is. The fact is that people feel some sort of grace by doing good things, correct? Is that God? Who knows, but if you live your life to obtain that grace (which could ultimately lead you to God) what are you losing? Sure you could have a life of "freedom" however your so-called freedom leads to depression an despair. If you live your life (which is minuscule compared to eternity) doing good things and trying to love God you may lose hedonistic freedom

  • @goNDirish03 Freedom is subjective. I've said it many times before, I will not serve a divine hypocrite, no matter how good the reward is. Why should I allow a Jealous God to tell me that jealousy is wrong? Having eternity with him therefore would be worse than Hell. Bertrand Russell once said "The fundamental defect of Christian ethics lies in the idea that they label one group of acts as 'sins' and another group as 'virtues' on grounds which have nothing to do with their social consequences".

  • or maybe, he did it all himself. Perhaps god's only part in it was the fact that he picked up a bible and started to believe God was helping him, so he continued the right path. just a thought.

  • My favorite Christian artist! God inspires him with such awesome lyrics and music :)

  • What an awesome story! God turned this guy around and did wonderful miracles!

    Check it out!

  • Sawn Mcdonald, you are the man. Such an awesome story. Love your music.

  • HSawn Mcdonald, you are the man. Such an awesome story. Love your music.

  • 3 ; 42 Let Jesus Christ take control of his life?

Wow, I don't know about Shawn but that's pretty much why I intend not to be religious ever again.

  • @whippersnippingprick its not about being religious, its about a relationship with Jesus Christ. If Jesus is in control than life is better, we have such a peace that know matter what we go thru, we go thru it knowing He will get us thru.

NO JESUS, NO PEACE::::: KNOW JESUS, KNOW PEACE

  • @imaloud1 The origin of peace is just an opinion. The funny thing with believers is that they associate the right of God's love, freedom and moral responsibility only with whoever believes the same as they do, and that everyone else can go burn in Hell. If Jesus takes control, life is better only for CHRISTIANS. That doesn't sit well with equality, let alone peace. But then again, if God's love did apply to the non believers and the murderers, that means God would have given Hitler a free pass.

  • @whippersnippingprick your right, IF Hitler repented BEFORE he died and trusted in/on Jesus he would be in heaven or as you call it a free pass.

  • @whippersnippingprick gods love is important but just because he loves you does not mean you go to heaven. the only way to heaven is threw christ. so in order for hitler to go to heaven he would have had to accept christ as his personal savior.

  • @willz0x Really? So no matter what you do, however perverse it is or how many people fall victim, all you have to do is accept Jesus as saviour and he takes the bullet for you, he hands you a guarranteed VIP pass into Heaven, he gives you a get out of jail free card, blah blah blah. What is this mate, fucking Monopoly?

My point is that whether grace is open to all or exclusive only to God's favourites, Every time you try to solve one issue with Christianity, another always stands in the way.

  • @whippersnippingprick that is exactly how it is but it doesnt give u an excuse to live like hell

  • @willz0x Maybe not, but it doesn't give me an excuse to waste my life in unconditional worship and tremble in fear of a tyrant such as God either.

  • @imaloud1 Whether the Big Bang or the Genesis account comes out on top, it doesn't matter. Whether or not Jesus was the son of God, the miracle performer you believe he is, it doesn't matter. Faith, religion, relationship, whatever you want to call it, is a tangled web of hypocrisy. Why should I allow a jealous God to tell me that jealousy is wrong? Why should I allow a God, whose angry judgment you believe will eventually end all life, to tell me that anger is as evil as murder? Fuck that shit.

  • @whippersnippingprick I guess in the end you to will know the truth. I just hope its not to late when you realize the truth. There is alot of hypocrites out there, whether it be in religion or the work place, school, ANYWHERE, not everyone, speaking of christains, are the way you are saying they are.

  • @imaloud1 Only one problem: I left Christianity, I wasn't born a non believer. But in case you get the impression I'm an Atheist, let me put it simply: I don't know if God exists, but I've stopped taking the Bible seriously.

And on the other hand, maybe not all Christians are Hypocrites. In fact, there are a lot of decent, genuine, well meaning people I know who are Christian. But the fact remains, all who take the Christian creed believe the same thing. After all, they are 'God's Children'.

  • @whippersnippingprick you can't be born a believer. We are born sinners, THEN saved by God's grace when we chose to receive it. You should take the Bible serious, people on the other hand, not so much

  • @imaloud1 So I shouldn't really trust you on the Bible since you're a human? The only way people know of the Bible is through other people, so you just flipped off your own foundation of the spiritual path you embark on.

Nevertheless, you're right, I shouldn't trust anyone. I turned my back on Christianity not long ago and I have my reasons. Like I said earlier: Why should I allow a God, whose angry judgment you believe will eventually end all life, to tell me that anger is as evil as murder?

  • GOD's love is for everyone, saint and sinner.. that is the "equality" and we become his children through faith in Jesus Christ.

GOD made it very simple... give up your dependancy on yourself, turn from sin and trust and believe in the one true GOD and in in his son Jesus Christ who died for OUR sins. Sounds so easy but sadly so hard for people to do.

You say you've given up... but I'm glad your still checking out inspirational storys like Shawn's. GOD's knocking... let him in <3

  • @LovesStance You think I come watch these videos for Christian inspiration? I don't think so. If you've ever seen starship troopers you'd know of a little quote that goes 'To fight the bug, we must understand the bug'. Does the same not go for faith? Understanding is essential whether you're for or against anything.

And you're right: Faith IS hard. Why? Because it is full of more loopholes than you realise. How easy it is to believe and accept yet so hard to understand. Blind people do that.

  • @whippersnippingprick ... Truthfully there are only 2 kinds of ppl. I've personally known... Believers and non believers, sad to see someone or something could make you give up and lose faith.

I wont reply to anymore of our convo's but will be praying for you :)

    take care. love and peace,

    Stance

  • @LovesStance A. We never had a conversation to begin with.

    B. 2 kinds of people: Believers and non believers? Yeah, easy for you to say since equal privileges only goes to Christians. Then again, it's also easy to say that Jesus loves everybody, then that would mean Hitler's in Heaven, so don't get on me about peace and love because the crucifiction made no impact. If it did, then WW2, 9/11 (you name it) would never have happened. But it's always amusing to see the enthusiasts who disagree.

  • @whippersnippingprick I honestly feel sorry for your turning from God. i really do. Maybe if you understood the bible more your eyes would open.

Your thoughts on Hitler must not be well researched being that Hitler, although brought up Catholic, was not a believer and in fact denounced God.

'We follow not Christ, but Horst Wessel, Away with incense and Holy Water, The Church can go hang for all we care, The Swastika brings salvation on Earth"

(Hort Wessel was a Nazi martyr) See More...

  • @whippersnippingprick

Whether or not the Crucifiction made an impact on society is strictly your opinion but if you understood how God worked maybe your thoughts would change. God doesn't control humans, he gives our own authority to control our own lives, no matter how detrimental the consequences. God lets these things happen to either bring us closer or push us away. As the situation where God took Job's children from him in order to test his faith.

  • @MRpolo2012 Seriously, why is God still here if he lets us live free? Why doesn't he go from one place to another, make free minded aliens, make free minded space monkeys and the like, and go from one place to another all again? Why shoould he go without any blame? After all, we didn't ask to be created. We didn't ask to have freedom that would attract us uncontrollably to sin like a moth to the flame. And for the record, what kind of God kills a man's children to test his faith? That's fucked.

  • @whippersnippingprick

Whose to say that he hasn't? God made us free minded so we could make a choice. Believe in him and have eternal life or not believe and be separated for eternity. Specifically what are you trying to blame him for exactly? You sound like a child who has just gotten punished..."I didnt ask to be created" I mean after all if your even pondering on a question like that you should end your life and find out real quickly if you right or not...

  • @MRpolo2012 Secondly, it doesn't matter whether God exists or not, or whether the world was made per the big bang or as described in the book of Genesis. It doesn't matter how high and mighty God is, I don't follow a jealous God who tells us not to envy or be jealous. I don't follow a God who killed or ordered the killing of any life even though one of the ten commandments reads 'Thou shalt not kill', and it's all the same. Even being the creator of life doesn't put God above the law he writes.

  • @whippersnippingprick I understand where your coming from with these questions and in short i honestly dont have an answer but that doesnt make my faith any less strong.

To be honest i don't understand the thought process of an Atheist. Wouldnt it seem to be more logical to believe in something and have the chance of eternal life than be so prideful and take a chance of loosing your soul?

God doesn't teach to forgive and forget he teaches to forgive in spite of the deeds committed.

  • @MRpolo2012 But why question and still believe? That defeats the purpose of questioning to begin with, and in the end it's all emotional turbulence. Sure, the possibility of God appearing before me and proving beyond all reasonable doubt that he deserves to rule over us and that he created everything is also a useless idea, but I personally wish not to find out at the last minute because I could be wrong, and I don't want to get screwed over. I don't want to feel like an idiot.

  • @MRpolo2012 Continuing, feeling like an idiot does work both ways, but I choose not to follow because I know my place. Unlike you, I'm not going to bother working for a Heavenly reward I know I don't ever deserve. I'm willing to burn if need be. Oh, and think about this: Doesn't God always need sinners around so he can teach others what not to be? You can't have good without bad, thank the Chinese for figuring that out. That's why God hasn't finished us off yet, and why he probably can't do it.

  • @whippersnippingprick In the bible predestination is mentioned often and for my understanding it means that God knows who will commit there lives to him before they die. So yes there will always be good and bad forever. No one deserves Heavens reward but through Jesus's sacrifice. See Romans 6:23 says " The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life" Although no one deserves it he has given us it as a gift. Why would you be willing to die for eternity?

  • @MRpolo2012 And before you reply, you're welcome to accuse me of being an anarchist and a guy who thinks murder and rape are tolerable, because I will tell you: No mate, they are intolerable to me and they always will be. It's just that I didn't learn this virtue through being Christian, I learnt it through emotion and a common understanding, and that is seeing we have a right to life. Forget where life may have come from and why, because the fact remains we're here and that's all that matters.

  • @whippersnippingprick For me questioning strengthens my faith. In my opinion its better to question your faith than to just blindly accept it. Thats why i think Christianity is such a hard relationship (its not a religion for me because religion is corrupted and man made) Even though you may never believe again at least you question things instead of simply telling me there is no God without an argument.

  • @MRpolo2012 A. Actually, I'm an agnostic. I don't know if God exists, but it doesn't morally matter to me.

    B. I told you I'm a wrongdoer. I know I don't deserve any piece of Heaven and taking a lifeline in the form of a dead man to give me salvation is unfair. You wouldn't kill your mother and cover it up just to inherit her money would you?

    C. If God knows absolutely everything, like who will commit sin and who will follow him, why bother praying and thinking it will make any difference?

  • @whippersnippingprick Well He layed down his life so that everyone could be saved. Jesus took up the cross for our sins. Everything we have done and will ever do has been forgiven. That doesnt mean that we can sin anyways, yes we still will but everytime we come to God and ask for forgiveness he is eager to grant it. We dont know who will or will not be saved so its never bad to pray for someone. No one deserves Heaven especially not me but its a gift that came in the form of a man named Jesus!

  • @MRpolo2012 Then again, he knows whos going to do it or not anyway, so that's what makes it unfair, that he still marks for salvation or sticks with knowing of one group over another, even long after the death of Jesus. The funny thing about Christians is that they really do try to be humble, but ultimately appearing to assume that just because they believe they will go to Heaven, sadly without knowing where Heaven is and without also knowing the EXACT measure or conditions of service required.

  • @whippersnippingprick But its not just believing. Sure thats the basic "requirement" but God calls us believers to be fishers of men and that in order to truly live the life of a Christian we must set aside all other priorities and follow him. If God asked for factual belief then no one could possibly believe because we dont know the exact measure of heaven but God tells us to have faith and that we will be rewarded justly. Hebrews 11:6. Check it out!

  • @MRpolo2012 In other words, you really mean that the only way to be a morally good, significant, loving individual in general is to be a Christian and that's all? When you hear the term 'in general', Christianity and the Bible take full ownership? For the so called 'sins', an act of mere disobedience by Adam and Eve who weren't real people, and Jesus laid down his life for that little symbolic sin passed down to us or so we're told, and Jesus knew he'd return anyway? That's not worthy of praise.

  • @whippersnippingprick No but doing so helps. As a Christian i live by moral values, not saying that if your not a christian you have no morals. Simply stating that i am a christian doesnt make me a good person i have to follow up with actions. I dont fully understand your argument after the first sentence though.

  • @MRpolo2012 What I meant to say was: I think You Christians believe that Christianity is 'THE' reality, which means that morality, grace, freedom belong entirely to Christianity. And if that's the case then I really think that's funny, considering that Adam and Eve, from what I've seen, never existed as real people. Therefore, their sin of mere disobedience was symbolic, therefore Jesus died for a symbolic sin, but on top of that, it was no worthy sacrifice considering he knew he'd return after.

  • @whippersnippingprick Oh i see your point but i would not categorize myself with that group. Those characteristics belong to whomever chooses to live that way. There is nothing that is specifically made just for Christians. Now about Adam and Eve actually scientists have compiled enough evidence to propose that all humans came from a singular ancestor. He scrificed himself as a human and he will return as he did three days later, a spirit.

  • @MRpolo2012 'What science cannot fully answer, Christianity must fill in the gaps, so therefore bring Adam and Eve into the equation like it says in the Bible, then look for any striking resemblances to modern scientific ideas and bingo! Too easy, the Bible is correct beyond all reasonable doubt.'

If you wish to prove this statement wrong, can you name any particular bit of evidence for Adam and Eve's existence?

  • @whippersnippingprick Actually the Bible has been proven to be one of the most accurate history textbooks in the world. unfortunately Youtube wont let me link an address so ill send them to your inbox.

  • @whippersnippingprick So you mean to tell me that if you were a PERFECT person you would take the miserable beating that Jesus took for someone else? You would have your flesh ripped open and beaten so bad that your own mother couldnt recognize you? His arms were dislocated due to the fact that the entire weight of his body was being supported from a nail in each wrist.you wouldnt do that now and you are far from perfect as we all are. Jesus felt every bit of pain! YES he is MORE than worthy..!!

  • @cguiton10 1. This 'blood on the cross' thing that's meant to cleanse people's sin, you emphasize it strongly, but as far as I know, the original sin, dating back to Adam and Eve (whom I doubt even existed at all) was ultimately symbolic, not realistic.

    2. Jesus did not ENTIRELY give himself up. He was sold out.

    3. Jesus' 'sacrifice' was hardly noble. He knew he'd be ressurected anyway.

    4. If the crucifiction was all part of God's plan, why do the Jews still get crap for killing Jesus?
