live stevo plays the intro starting with flams over snare and toms. since i played to the studio version, i just did the regular beat as you can see and i might have started off a little sloppy. im not sure if thats what you describe as too fast, but i cant think of anything else.

may be they play the whole song with slightly less bpm also.

Lol nah guys, if you listen to the other instruments. you notice the drummer is just following the other instruments. When you know what the other sounds are going to do you can really do anything as long as it follows them. And to GXZeroXII your on the right track, the drummer keeps the rhythm of the song but that's only so much of how we know what to play.

i used to play drums much harder and i didnt know how to hit cymbals properly and play with my fingers and wrist, not so much my arms. once cymbals have a small crack, it keeps running through the whole thing and eventually ruining the sound, which is what happened. i still have it but it sounds like trash..

how much was ur drum set in american dollars?

it was arround 1200DM at the time (1997 i think) which would be roughly 600€ today. depending on when you converted that into american dollars, it could be anything. the exchange rates went crazy over the years. 1€ was less than 0.5$ when it started. last year it was 1.5$. today it is 1.25$ which would mean it costs 760$. but there are still huge price differences between europe and the us because of export taxes and other stuff, so no guarantee on that..

not a lot, but english is everywhere today. as for me, i just prefer watching movies and pretty much everything else in english and so do my friends. even my 14 yr old brother already does. i dont know why, it just happened over the years. i also read english books and news/blogs etc.

english feels like more honest to me than german and it is more fun to listen to, probably because of music.

funny thing is, that i was terrible in english class in my late school years.. fuck it
