But put the hurricane against the r8 v12 tdi concept and it will simply fail.

Altogether, it's the weight of the car, it's agility, that is just as important in distinguishing a supercar as is straightline speed.

Not fake. Unfortunately the v8 is not a very fast car. The v10 would be much quicker however. Thing is the BMW will transport 4 people in luxury and comfort, where as the r8 is better looking and will grab more attention. Same price so depends what you are looking for in a car.

@OmGhostable i dont know the real specs behind the 09 hurricane m6, but the sites i checked out gave numbers of about 800hp, 500lbs of torque, and 0-62 in under 4.4 secs top speed 230. the r8 v10 goes from 0-62 in under 4 secs. their top track speed is probably very close. But put the hurricane against the r8 v12 tdi concept and it will simply fail.

@OmGhostable well you were comparing a v10 twin supercharged m6 to a stock r8 v10 hardly a fair fight on the straitaway, top gear power track times shows that the r8 v8 placed 9 rankings higher than the m3 and 16 rankings above the m5, the r8 v10 model placed 15 rankings above the r8 v8. now imagine if someone twin supercharged the r8 v10 engine, that hurricane would probably get dusted on the straitaway.

@jamecontent I don't know what you're definition of a Grand Tourer is, but looks are subjective, they do not determine what class of car the car is in. Furthermore, you can get a coupe tuned by brabus for like a gazillion horsepower, but it's chassis still isn't going to consist carbon fiber. It's still going to be heavy, fast, but heavy. Altogether, it's the weight of the car, it's agility, that is just as important in distinguishing a supercar as is straightline speed.
