Acts 5 tells of the apostles being arrested for preaching the Gospel of Jesus. Its especially prominent when Gamaliel stood up and said,

Let me give you guys some biblical proof why those so called YWAM missionaries are in majority just some backpackers with a little bit of Christianity.

When you read the book of Acts ( a missionary report) you will see that Paul and the other missionaries are talking about how God is working and what the result of it was. When you look at an average facebook report of a DTS participant, you will see that the emphasis is on fun, food, sightseeing and other touristic activities.

Religion is not any different from any other part of life. If you applied your theory of religion to airplane engineering, people would be dropping out of the sky all over the place (if they even got up into it). Doesn't it seem somehow weird to you that every part of life except religion, in your view, operates on the principle that things are what they are and not what they are not?

Logically (or theoretically) you would be right, but trying to apply logic to religion just doesn't work - like it doesn't work to apply logic to love, to women ;), to feelings. etc. so I don't think comparing to math or airplane engineering is a good approach. It's a totally different layer. A philosopher would say, that there can only be one Truth (and I completely agree with that) but in practice, the world doesn't work like this.

I think it's either more like someone who comes and explains why the airplane works (if indeed it does) or, more likely, explains how to make it really fly. The simple fact is that there are no "working airplanes" out there except for those that rely on the truth about the world -- both literally/physically and allegorically/metaphysically..­.

Logic (or theory) that cannot embrace and explain either religion, love, or women is simply either incomplete or plagued by false presuppositions. In your case, my guess is that you are plagued by false presuppositions, such as that absolute relativity is a logical possibility... (and perhaps when it comes to women and love you might simply be lacking data). :P Try beginning with the question of God, or of absolute value if you will. It takes some doing when you're used to anthropocentrism.
