yes alive and in good shape. People don't realized that a person height and overall body build makes a difference. If I'm not mistake Tom was a football player and heavily into sports before BBing + his height & bodybuilding can easily give him large leg muscles without steriod use

It is Tom Platz! Look at some other videos, see how the calf muscles insert. His legs are much fuller, probably this video was taken when he was not in the prime condition, but the muscles are the same. Just notice insertion points of all muscles, relative distances and shape. It is he!!! 100% sure about this one.
