Ha, nice presentation, Mr.... whoever you are. I bought an Echo AudioFire card and it came with Traktion v1 (probably demo..dunno). I never installed it because I used Cubase at the time. But this certainly looks pretty impressive. I might give it a whirl :)
I import a song into Tracktion 3 ... can i remove the instruments from the song in Tracktion 3 so only the vocal remains ? I want to do this so i can play the instruments myself and have the original professional voice in lieu of my horrible singing ?
ahaha wow there's really is no point in having musicians in the studio. Just drag and drop. I use to use Sonar, I just dragged over my old guitar and drum recordings over from some recent projects And that was it... I was just going though all the filters and effects thinking finally. The whole layout is obvious.
@bruinkies Yes, it does. Once installed, you can find EZ Drummer listed when you select a plug-in. EZ Drummer can be loaded as either a VST or RTAS plug and should be easily recognized by Tracktion.
Check my vids out were both almost 14 and use a mix of tracktion 3 and cubase le. The videos posted currently are all tracktion 3 and the AI tascam us 1200? Idk can't remember the full name. But yeah Check the videos tracktion is AWESOME!!!!!!!
I had a problem running traction on my Microsoft PC. Once I installed it on my Mac it ran smooth. Like butter. I am sticking with Mac permanently. Microsoft sucks the big one.
Okay, I may get this. My question is this: How would I plug my effects processor into the computer if I used this program?? With just the USB cord the proccessor came with, or what? Someone, please help!
I use Tracktion 3 and absolutely love it! No popping, no issues whatsoever....maybe I'm lucky :) It's a very fast and easy program (and I've used them all). I still love Sonar but Tracktion is getting more and more use.
dude It might be almost impossible to stop the popping because traction 3 is 24 bit. Personally I would use cubase 5 it has 32 bit and alot or none of the popping. It has everything this has, and more just run it through like guitar rig and piano teq and you are set but this is just my opinion
You are not stuck with clips and live recordings as it supports vst instruments. You can have any sound you want. You are stuck if you have reason 4 because it doesn't support vst.
it still seems inferior to the reason 4 and ableton live 7 when it comes to actual production. this seems like its sacrificed total control for UI. i dunno but it just seems like your stuck with clips and live recordings and stuff like rewire comes standard in audio recording packs. i guess i just prefer the set up i've explained and thats my opinion
Tracktion features all in one screen are amazing. It's more inspiring.
I'm using cubase sx3 for its good audio engine and its possibilities on sidechain mode. It's good but it "requires" a second screen just for the mixer :(
I've tried several daws and they all have different summing algorithms and sound quality.
I'm looking for a clear and high definition sound on midi and audio.
Can you give more information about the audio engine?
Then you are in luck. Just record some of your music and edit that into loops. You can even assign categories to your loops for easy browsing later. Loops are a great way to easily compose and arrange.
I've never used computer studio software. I want to mix and edit tracks from my syths, vocals etc and burn it.. I have a midi to usb cable for my hardware. Will this work for me? Can I sequence and record from my hardware?
You will want to contact Mackie Tech Support. They will be more than happy to help you with this issues (800.898.3211). Although, you might first try a scan. Go to settings->loops and then tell it where your loops are and scan. That should set you up.
what I dont like of it is why is the tracks mixer and such on the right side thats so odd and strange for the past 20 years plus we think left to right not right to left maybe they can give a way for us to move the position of elements because as it stands its very odd and strange

Which is better Cubase, this, or Reason?
LoneAssassinX 2 years ago
"The Best DAW is the one you are using".
Btw, saviorcrazy is talking out of his ass (regarding the popping/crackling). Try to raise the buffersize on your audio interface.
Cubase is a beast..but so is Reson, Ableton Live, Logic, Sonar, Reaper, etc etc.
