I saw Destruction live in support of this release The Antichrist in 2001 when they co-headlined with Kreator. I thought Destruction stole the show big time. After they finished their set, Kreator played but they chose to play too many of their slower, more melodic catalog from their 90s. I like Kreator but they were a real downer.

well I think sodom and Kreator are better than destruction but they are fuckin awesome too and I think Cracked Brain is the best example to show that destruction also works without schmier. The Black Metal Albums of Sodom are good but nothing against Agent Orange or M-16.

You're a total idiot if you think that all albums without Schmier suck only because Schmier isn't on'em. Cracked Brain was by far the most technical and riffiest in the whole Destruction discography. Of course, it would've been better if Schmier sang on it, but it's a great album nonetheless.

Are you kidding me. For one thing, Angelripper has and always will own Schmier as a person and singer. Bassist maybe not, but both of them suck at bass anyway. Marc Reign can't stay in fucking time for his life, and same thing with Mike Sifringer. He can't shred for shit either. He just does a ton of string hammering and makes it sound like shredding.

No they aren't. Destruction is so lame. Instrumental skill is really lame, Schmier isn't a great bassist and his vocals are like power metal vocals yet deeper, Sifringer is a crappy guitarist who tries to hard to shred, and Marc Reign is a pretty mediocore drummer. Old Destruction was way better.

Ok change my mind. Opinion is still the same. Destruction is the worst true metal band known to man. Coroner should be on the list of the big german three, not these guys. You can hear go out of time all the time. And what's with "Nailed to the Fucking Cross", that is the weakest anti christian lyric I have ever heard. A little kid could come up with that. I am sorry but Destruction, as metal as they are, just are horrible.

Coroner are not from Germany, they are from Switzerland like early labelmates Celtic Frost, but I do agree that the last couple of Destruction albums were pretty shabby, the last really good album they put out was Cracked Brain, way back in 1990!

Yeah that was ok, but Coroner is still considered part of the German metal scene since they are from a german speaking country. The whole Teutonic metal scene encompasses Germany, Switzlerland, Luxemborg, Lichtenstein, and Austria.
