  • Before diagnosing Japan as mortally wounded a mere 3 days after one of the biggest tsunamis known hit the entire northwest coast of Japan, Ruppert should have waited to see how ten's of thousands of volunteers from around Japan went up to the area (outside the evacuation zone) to clean up. If any country can recover from such a disaster, it's Japan. Look at how many lives were saved because of the preparation and infrastructure of the country. That hasn't disappeared.

  • @MrMick73 What are you so mean? And why do you bring God into your petty, spiteful replies? Is your God so harsh and cruel that he inspires you to lash out at people who are searching for answers to help them make sense of our crumbling and faltering world?

I must be very lucky to look to god who encourages love and generosity toward other people!

  • Wow - Ruppert looks nuts in this video. If the "post petroleum human" is a group of people wearing tied-eyes clothes (see background passers-by) with long hair driving Volts in California, I'll take my chances where I'm at spritually, mentally and financially. Christ will guide me holding a lamp at the crossroads to those I can help.

  • @HerrLT, we need lifeboats and lights everywhere. We taped Mike Ruppert at a Green Living festival in California -- hence the Volt (demo vehicle). The tie-died shirts -- ah, it IS California...

  • @peakmoment Indeed!

  • @HerrLT What the hell are you talking about! HAHAHAHAHA...omg did you not listen to him? Did you have the volume down the whole time? Oh i get it, you must be cracking a funny joke...dam i am so stupid...

  • @HerrLT LOL a Christ comment. What are you talking about a dead person for. How exactly do dead people guide you , and whatdo you mean by holding a lamp at the crossroads to those i can help ? That doesnt make any sense.

  • you think?

  • climate change is peak oil.

MR needs to get rid of that friggen hat.

Why does he crap on about GOD ?

God, ther's no friggen god , this guys a fruitcake.

  • @MrMick73 HAHAHAHA...omg some of these comments crack me up, they tickle me pink...ohhhhhhh....they split my side....well they are a little unwarented...don't you think? He does have some very good stuff to say. And how the hell do you know there is not a God. I happen to know there is...so there...have that!!!

  • @ammachi3 well then you full of shit , what evidence do you have to proove GOD's existence ? Only deluded nobodys that cant cope with reality dream about fairies and GODS. Read a science book .

  • climate change is peak oil.

MR needs to get rid of that friggen hat.

  • @MrMick73 No, that’s not quite accurate...The unrestricted burning of fossil fuels and chiefly burning them in such a short period of time caused catastrophic climate change. If we had managed there use so that they last for say 500 years, say, oil will still have peaked but we may have not upset the balance of the atmosphere with a sudden rush or increase in CO2 and other green house gasses.

  • @ammachi3 ... another one, and wheres your evidence ??? what imbalance in the atmosphere ? I dont see any imbalance in the atmosphere. What imbalance are you talikng about .

  • @MrMick73 Direct personal experince of the Imperosnal God or the One Energy that pervades and supports the changing world. The laws of scince are dependant on its existance. Read the Gita or Upanishads...and then take steps to experince what they say for yourself.

  • I think he is losing it.

  • "Those who follow the dinosaur leaders of infinite growth and consumption will perish along with them when the inevitable decline begins." [paraphrased]

    Indeed!

  • @DragonflyJaed Well you can thank your parents for Making you and then driving a plastic Oily car then cant you !

  • Ruppert has to separate his prep discussions with his financial ones. He is ahead of the curve on prep but I don't see too much harm in being first to market in this regard. But his financial conclusions are simply out to lunch. How do I know ? I live in Japan. Michael Ruppert is WRONG WRONG WRONG about Japan other than superfluous conclusions based on hearsay. I could go on, but I don't want to disrespect peak moment which is such a WONDERFUL program.

  • Mostly baloney, but love it if you must.

  • This interview and the Keith Farnish interview are your all time greatest hits. Just plain logic with no attempt to bring all the junk from this world into the post petroleum world. It's wonderful just knowing that I'm not the only person left who understands my place in the earth.

  • I love her response to Rupert at 24:32.

  • The word quaker comes to mind. Mad respect for MCR though.

  • Good to see MCR looking well, I was worried about his personal circumstances a while back, he deserves more than just recognition. Interesting to see him mention Arnie Gundersen, I've been watching his Fairewinds site since Fukushima hit the news - I'm very concerned about the 442 nuclear reactors worldwide and what will happen to them, and us, after the crash.

  • @futurecatholic We all die. Therefore, the ONLY thing that matters is QUALITY of life. Maximizing it fairly.

e.g. X = destroy the world by dumping toxic waste everywhere v(X) = -400 long term with v(X)=+10 short term

    net -390

Y = work hard, give up things we'd like, but struggle through to a sustainable future v(Y) = -200 short term v(Y)=+5 short term net=-195

Given no other information, if groups S wants X and group T wants Y, sorry to say, I don't care if S is bigger than T or vice versa,

  • @mphello ... I'd rather force S to go with Y rather than force T to go with X.

  • @futurecatholic You're a fucking hypocrite: refusing to give up eating meat or any other part of your consumption, while forcing women to go through the hell of 9 months of labor and THEN on top of that forcing unplanned babies to starve to death after birth from poverty.

What you don't have the brains to get - since you're a subhuman catholic who support torturing and burning women at stakes under the delusion that they're "witches" - is that I am true to my values: quality of life.

  • It's interesting how he mentions the influence of advertising. I'm pushing for Community Mythology Projects to use the dynamics of myth to our own advantage. (see duvallcmp net )

  • MCR has some issues explaining what the PPH is going to be like. It is Homo Universalis who shall have fourth and fifth dimensional characteristics in addition to being fully 3rd dimensional as we are now. Instant self-healing, does not need much 3D food to sustain oneself, knows where and how to obtain it. Linked consciousness, hence knowing and no more lies. Ability to teleport short and long distances. So it will be almost an overnight switch. People who cannot make it will die.

  • While you give credit to Buckminster Fuller and others and grant that many people are part of this consciousness change of post oil man, I think you ought to give credit to the Native Americans, and the hippies of the sixites, and the back to the earth movement of Germany in the twenties or thirties. The Native Americans from South and North America have a long struggle against the industrial man.

  • @RedwoodHippie Why are you using a computer and electricity then?

  • Wikipedia defines species: "A species is often defined as a group of organisms capable of interbreeding and producing fertile offspring. While in many cases this definition is adequate, more precise or differing measures are often used, such as similarity of DNA, morphology or ecological niche." where morphology is the internal and external form and structure of organisms. However your use of consciousness as a defining element of a species appears to be an exaggerated use of the word.

  • Much of your overall message is very valid however I think you are using the word species inappropriately. As I understand it a species is defined as the class of beings who can reproduce offspring through the sharing of genetic materials. While a more holistic mental consciousness is definitely needed by the industrial oil man this does not rise to the definition of a new species.

  • funny, post petroleum man is as arrogant as petroleum man and laughs when other than his kind dies ! LOL dead people but its ok , they deserve this faith! + Mother earth is a bitch!

  • At 2:20, he said Cro-Magnon when he meant Neanderthal man. Not a good way to start off a theory.

  • As far as I'm concerned, I've done more to transition to a post-oil world than even Michael Ruppert has, because I have not reproduced myself, and I have been an advocate of mandatory vasectomy laws since 1980 to reduce world population, and I have been vegan for animal rights since 1980. Meat is the #2 contributor to climate change and #2 consumption of oil.

  • the latter half of this interview is more interesting!! He does nail stuff!

  • I like what this guy has to say,,,, but his message is in hot danger of coming across a bit mad,,,,, perhaps the government are feeding him extra flouride!! Evolution,no,,,its not, that just wont run, and the hair and the hat dont work. What was great about collapse was 'the ordinary guy, who had an insight through experience and was just brilliantly vocalising what we were all already starting to think. It was genius, dont get written off as the new david Icke dude, or youll lose the message.

  • whats your opinion of the standard country living vs an eco village in the country even though standard country where one home on a property that can still get community involvement through like community supported agriculture? their trying to come up with community supported forests as well. i am going to try to start a conservation working forest business and need some more opinions since i would if successful wind up with millions of acres and need to figure out how to manage a landscape.

  • Cotton uses up to half of the worlds pesticides, hemp puts cotton fiber to SHAME no pesticides, bigger crop, stronger, more water absorbant. When food, fiber, fuel, plastics, oils, are produced locally energy consumption significantly reduces. Hemp ethanol is non toxic and yields 6-10 times MORE than toxic corn ethanol.Hemp ethanol is much less energy intensive than the alternatives.

Thunderstorms produce antimatter! Planetary magnetic fields store antimatter! GROW UP WORLD before its too late

  • Nice to see Micheal Ruppert! Great video!

  • I wonder where his clothes and hat were made and at what cost in petroleum?

  • @leland61 Personal responsibility activists make me laugh. Why confront systemic problems when you can bicker over the minutiae of individual choices? *facepalm*

  • @leland61

conserving energy is a good thing, but using only a couple of brain cells in that post kinda defeats the point.

if the wiser ones in our society are running around in loin cloths and throwing rocks or sticks for their next kill, just to suit your illogical ideals, how will they ever get the message out?

clothes and hat? really dude? i mean cmon man, thats a pretty crap strawman you tried to make

  • MCR, you look like a crazy person. Get a haircut and lose the hat.

  • @MrSpqesq dude, i was just gonna say nice hat mike.

  • That's transitional, he'll look badass once the hair's long enough for a ponytail.

  • @MrSpqesq you know...looks are nothing...did you ever hear that from you mommy while you grew up? Its what people do in the world that really matters. At least he is speaking out about very important issues, even if he looks a little crazy and has a wacky sense of dress...

  • Abiotic or biotic doesn't matter if we are using it up way faster than it's being generated. Oh I know, you think the entire core of the earth is a big nougat of oil, so there's millions of years worth still... Do *your* homework, troll.

  • looks like he's making some serious bucks lately. all the leg touching freaked me out. get a room!

  • Michael Ruppert looks great.

  • hahahahaha "or... WE CAN VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRATS!" lol thats my favorite type of zombie

  • First tier - green.

    Hint of Malthus.

  • Nothing has killed the "peak oil" movement like Ruppert, a clearly paranoid conspiracy theorist who pretends (and fails) to predict the future.

Add to this discredited movement the likes of "archdruid" James Greer and art critic James Kunstler, and you've got a full-fledged cult on your hands.

  • @TheProphetNabob What is it like to be a zombie?

  • @TheProphetNabob Peak oil is real, it can't be killed. You can plant your head in the sand but that won't drive down the price of oil.

  • another great post! gratitude ~~

  • What an optimist :(

  • The scientific method doesn't need to be discarded, so much as it needs to be redefined. We need the science of Heinrich Agrippa and Franz Bardon, much more than that of Renee Descartes or Richard Dawkins.

  • Wow, it's good to see this guy not completely depressed and hopeless. I watched Collapse and was sure he was going to end it for himself soon. Whew!

  • @gaiagale: The Volt rolled by at 12:39 in the video. It almost looked staged. Note how it paused and then went more slowly so we could read 'Volt' on the side.

  • @hguyw The volt didn't appear to be driving that slowly considering the pedestrian traffic.

  • @joungerbros It appeared to me that the Volt driver really slowed, almost stopping. But maybe (s)he was simply curious about what was going on with what Janaia was doing - cameras and all. It's all a minor point in the video, but I thought it was kinda funny when 'VOLT' appeared in the background of the shot, considering the topic of the interview.

  • it's a big big CLUBClub and we're not invieittd.

  • I don't like her..

  • The population, In a 100 mile radius from where I reside, probably numbers somewhere between 225 -250 K. When I do a survey and assessment of media articles, reports, websites, blogs, including my own personal interaction with folks in my day-to-day activities, etc. within this 100 mile radius, the unfortunate reality is that there is a very small fraction of this population that would even consider this conversation that Janaia and Mike are having. Lots of zombies out there!

  • Holy cow! Mike has let himself go. He looks rough as hell, tired, and needs a hair cut! lol. I love this show, and liked most of what mike has put out in the past, but this interview was a bit Zzzzzzz

  • @AnitaGofradump2008 - to me Mike does not look like he has "let himself go". Instead (and I find this very interesting) he appears to be adjusting his physical mock-up to be that of a typical pre-petro era "look" from somewhere around the early 1800's. Perhaps the mind or the spirit (knowingly or not), not having a model for post-petro man, is using it's model of pre-petro human in the attempt to align physical image to current philosophy and activites.

  • @AnitaGofradump2008 He looks a lot better than in The Collapse. He looked totally bombed out in that movie.

  • Hey, what's up with the Chevy Volt that rolled by in the background? Was that staged? Or serendipitous?

  • @hguyw when?!? ... I've looked and some how missed it

  • @hguyw, this conversation was taped at the Green Living EcoFest in Grass Valley, CA. That Volt was being shown at the festival. We were as surprised as you were! Serendipitous indeed. ~ Janaia

  • It will be impossible and dangerous to go back fast to natural lifestyles without some kind of mitigative adaption. We won't be able to feed a huge part of humanity without doing so, which would surely lead to civil unrest and civil war all around the world. I hope there will be some operational room for mitigation for us. I believe that new alternative ways of power creation can be established very soon (eg. LENR, Rossi Reactor). The end of oil won't be all the sudden but rather gradual.

  • @Bernd1964 I don't think of this societal shift as "going back."

    We're moving forward - beyond!

But yes, it will be a gradual and sometimes painful shift for many of us.

Better to get started now, and be ahead of the curve!

  • @VyseLegend Indeed. In his movie he says socialism and communism aren't the answer because they don't address finite resources, when in fact Marx and Engels addressed this when they interpreted the ideas of Malthus - saying overpopulation and limited resources are a product of capitalism. Also, Rosa Luxemburg discussed finite resources as a reason we need a "spiritual transformation" to socialism.

  • nice hat

  • I see you're asking for regular donations. I've donated to your show a few times in the past and I think it's worth it to support what you're doing. I'll never again schedule a monthly donation to anything though. I've done it before and once it starts it's very difficult to stop. I call and call and the person who does the paperwork is never there. It's happened with free speech tv and with an anti-illegal immigration group I supported. I'll never do it again. I don't trust anyone now.

  • @vention4wh, thanks for noticing our appeal. We welcome one-time contributions (tax-deductible or not) as well as monthly contributions. Your choice. And we are very grateful. You donate through PayPal (you don't need to have a PayPal account), and you can end the subscription yourself through PayPal at anytime. Nobody to call who doesn't return your calls! To donate, go to peakmoment (dot) tv/misc/youcanhelp.htm

We very much appreciate gifts of any size. ~ Janaia & Robyn

  • @peakmoment sorry but I would have to disagree Paypal are an awful company and inevitable you end up needing to phone them and they are worst then most as they are incredible rude, very unprofessional and will end up costing you money in calls if you deal with them in anyway. I have cancelled my paypal account and will not make any payments that involve them. Shame as I like your site.

  • Why the hell does Jack -below- say oil is NOT a fossil fuel !! ??

and btw - Mike Ruppert has a weekly free net/podcast called TheLifeboatHour

  • @VyseLegend

the destructive power in the hands of Corporation and Banksters is the problem, they create wars, they divide and conquer, they create scarcity, they want to control the world

  • isn't mike the prophet of peak oil...?

    peak oil is a hoax

oil is not a fossil fuel

    do your homework

  • @jackp6 could you explain what you mean by oil not being a fossil fuel?

  • @capelthwait

The Myth of today about oil is that it took millions of years from a biotic source to become oil.

for more info read the article: "Oil Is NOT A Fossil Fuel - It Is Abiotic" on rense dot com

  • @jackp6 and the earth was created 3,000 years ago? man walked with dinos? (nodding)

  • @PhotoNika

What do you mean with your "questions"?

Have you any knowledge of what oil is?

Do you believe in Peak Oil, because of the assumption oil is fossil?

  • @jackp6 Have you ever taken an actual science class - and especially - have you taken organic chemistry? Heck, even an intro astronomy class might do you good if you dont have the pre-reqs to take a hard science. Do I have any knowledge of what oil is - yes, i am a PhD level scientist - the question is - do you? Peak oil is not a dogma or religion .... its not a matter of belief.

  • @PhotoNika

Ah so you think science classes has anything to do with insight, knowing or intelligence, alas science classes are a reproduction of agreed "knowledge" nothing more. So it is your belief system oil is fossil, it has nothing to do with reallity. :)

  • @jackp6 I'm assuming you subscribe to the "strong" abiotic oil theory as proposed by Thomas Gold-meaning you believe oil is abundantly produced in the mantle of the earth. There is also the "weak" abiotic oil theory, which says that oil is created abiotically, but isn't produced at rates faster than biotic oil; therefore, that theory is irrelevant. Also, all major companies use the biotic theory to find oil. If abiotic oil exists in the mantle, why aren't companies drilling there? you fail.

  • @MrIsaiah722

I do not fail in any way... ;)

Oil is not a fossil fuel and Peak Oil is a hoax.

Oil is also drilled on great depth btw that prove that.

Calling it "fossil" is just a marketing issue that implicates it should be scarce.

    Scarcity and monopoly SALES.

  • @jackp6 Okay buddy, give me evidence of some super-deep wells that produce abiotic oil in abundance. Wake up, man. Pull your head out of the sand.

  • @MrIsaiah722

I read about it a long time ago. You can find it out by yourself if you like. There is much written about it. Read f.e. William Engdahl 's confessions of an ex peak oil believer... My eyes opened on this issue when I find out that Transition Towns started to promote the Politic Climate Change Lies and also had Peak Oil as their dogma. So I did a brief studie.

  • @jackp6 You failed to give me any evidence for such bold claims. As Carl Sagan said, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". By the way, William Engdahl is an economist and not a petroleum geologist or energy analyst- he doesn't know what he's talking about, frankly. Stop believing what you WANT to believe and pay attention to the facts and science. I suggest you listen to Dr. Colin Campbell, Dr. Robert Hirsch, Matthew Simmons and others. Stop deluding yourself, mate.

  • @MrIsaiah722

It seems to me stating "Oil is a fossil fuel" is an extra-ordinary claim. Done by the Rockefellers about a century ago btw.

  • @jackp6 What the hell do the Rockefellers have to do with science and geology? I'm done arguing with you; I'm only wasting my time. You obviously don't care about evidence or facts or the scientific consensus on peak oil. Peak oil is not a belief ; it's reality proven by observation and recorded depletion of countless oil fields Stop indulging yourself with conspiracy theories, and instead, indulge yourself with conspiracy facts. I hope you wake up to reality before it's too late. Peace amigo.

  • @MrIsaiah722

The Rockefellers do in oil bizz, don't you know? The Rockefeller Maffia do also in Big Pharma and the Medical Maffia, Big Chemical and also in Opinion Engineering... Maybe you are a victim of the last... Peak Oil is a profitible Lie and conspiracy is the world we live in, the world of the Powers That Be, Rockefellers and Rothschilds. You know those Zionist Warcreating Banksters. Peace to you too :)

  • @MrIsaiah722

Amigo, you can read f.e. (it has detailed information)

Oil is NOT a fossil fuel, and CO2 is an innocent victim of green hysteria

    by Peter J. Morgan

But you can also search by yourself... or not :)

  • @jackp6 Holy cow, are you deluded. You're making a fool of yourself here and don't even realize it.

  • @jackp6 Trollolol

  • Glad to hear from you again Michael C. Ruppert! And nice to see you are still going strong. The world needs people like you, who can speak of our trials to come.....so that at least some of us will be better informed.

  • That is all well and good but some of us don't want to go back to the dark ages.

I agree we have to change how we go about our building and tech but to give it all up. No thank you. Change how we get there? Well yes! So take permaculture combine it with advanced clean manufacture add in grown power and you have a new world that does not require me to read by lantern at night and give up being able to head for the stars one day.

  • Go to AWAREOFTRUTH. COM--For an alternative view.

  • I think I saw this guy on "Prophets of Doom"

  • Thankyou Jania this is an awesome interview. We all Love Mike!

  • @valhala56

    @ "we all love mike"

    I don't... :)
