Also continuing from my last post it says This is not an SST record. It is not intended for individual sale and is to be used for promotional purposes only as part of chemical imbalance #6. All songs copyright their individual bandselves ect. Anybody bored enough to red this small print bullshit should gives themselves a real good jerking-off. Alright so maybe the quality wasn't so fucking great this time. What do you care. It'll still be worth a couple bucks in a few years. Maybe.. lol
I have this song on a 45 rpm fanzine compilation promo ep record catalog number CI 003 by chemical records made in the u.k. limited ed. 4300 pressed from back in October of 1987. It also included Firehose "from 1 cums 1", Leaving Trains "Heartbreak Wizard", Opal "Indian Summer", and Slovenly "Enormous Critics". The back of the cover also has the funny remark that 3 of 4 songs were recorded live & unfortunately the mobile recording unti was busted audiophiles an other anal retentives beware.
Wow... I used to think the original couldn't be matched, and I'm a Doors fanatic.. but WOW. This cover is just so much more.. pure. It's got that lo-fi quality that gives it a warm feeling and sense of honesty. Beautiful.
I also have this '45... the three songs by Firehose (9:30 Club), Leaving Trains (Nobarano Bar and Grill) and Slovenly (Music Machine) were recorded live with the "busted" mobile recording unit.
Here's the track information from the cover:
"TWO - Opal - 'Indian Summer' (Doors) Completed in Sept. '87 in some L.A. studio."
lets all trip some glorious balls

Unfortunately, the few Opal CD's I've found cost the moon. Apparently, their stuff is out of print and becoming rare.

I know "Early Recordings II" is a bootleg, but does anyone know where I can get a silver disc CD of it?

@robezam yeah .. but it fits somehow. . in fact that may have been the point ..
sounds live .. rare " audience level :" live .. good stuff in spite of that .. or because of that depending on how you look at it . .

@PHAEDRIDER I can confirm that it was a live recording since the vinyl copy I have states so.

@RickRudesMustache,
Sorry, but that is not correct!
