I MUST crochet myself a hat with the big brim cause that is hot! SOmetimes I want to pull all my hair up without the ponytail. The hat would be great.

The big chop, for me, was ahhhh! l i b e r a t i n g! I felt free and I as my hair grew, so did I ! My minor issue from time to time is fighting my teeny curls at my hair line. My hubby says their just fine, leave them alone! lol

I don't think she is saying that the Big Chop is a mistake. I interpret it as, if you make a big mistake with your hair, then you will have to consider the Big Chop in order to regain completely natural hair.

Yes, the mistake was that I had my braids "cleaned" up. They use scissors to that after the braids are already in and it really messes up your own strands. Don't do it! Leave those little frizzies for what they are.

although i like the whole idea of going natural, i wouldnt find a girl attractive with those hairstyles, maybye its because of my age but idk. I DO LIKE NATURAL HAIR THOUGH.

i think that when it comes to natural hairstyles the main thing you need to focus on is what i would like to call SWAG. you gotta start with somthin OLDfashion (like a afro) and then put a NEW twist to it.

It seems to me that masoesa has put a lot of effort into providing a "new twist" as on her style choices. I don't why you feel we need to know that you don't want a natural haired woman sharing a life with you... .it kinda contradicts your supposedly liking natural hair... no man (regardless of race) is going to find everyone woman attractive... but as soon as you say you don't find them attractive with a certain hair style... then i feel you... probably don't really like that hairstyle

It's Big Mistake=Big Chop. I made a big mistake by allowing a braider "clean" my extension-twists by using scissors to shear along the twists. It's very damaging to the hair and that's why I needed to do another bc.

Beautiful hair. Yeah, don't let those braiders trim up the braids with scissors and other sharp objects that are damaging. Also watch out for candles. Around here (in Wash, DC) the braiders use the flame of the candle to singe off flyaway hairs.
