  • fuck you

  • God did create through evolution. Darwin was right in that point. But the theme "survival of the fittest" may not help fully in explaining the creative process in evolution. Naive creationism is downright false and uncultural in nature since it betrays data obtained by super-careful scientists and deep thoughts they attempted to expound..

  • Dog shit

  • creationism as a science is like being bald is a haircut....

  • My, my. Why is it when truth does not fit our world view we become so nasty? Why can't we just accept truth and change our world view to fit the truth? I imagine we would become a much more pleasent species if we did.

  • This is not education. At least clarify in the name that this is a creationist video. For fuck sake...

  • those, who believe in the evolution THEORY have to play lotto: the chance that a functional protein is formed is about 1:10^74 - the chance at 6 correct numbers is much higher

btw where did life come from? scientists can´t answer that!

  • im here for a fucking project

  • Should be in comedy instead of education category

  • God did create evolution, as fossils of horses and elephants show us. We cannot deny that. So creationist vs evolutionist issue is totally unrelated to believe or disbelieve in God.

  • What the hell is he talking about???

  • Twisting the truth

    Disgraceful

  • Starts off with a lie. First point made is BS. Earliest fossils were found in the Archean.

Good thing there isn't a commandment about false witness or the makers of this video are in trouble.

  • For all we know they could be outdated.

  • All your quotes are from 20+ years ago

  • Why do people thumb down this video? facts are facts regardless of whether a person likes them.

  • @FeignofCordor right, but these are false

  • charnia is multicellular and found in pre-cambrian rocks.

  • "The oldest stratum in which fossils are found is the cambrian" was only believed to be the case 40 years ago. Google "charnia" which was a MASSIVE change in earliest life understanding. Anyway, how can these creationists now believe the earth is millions of years old? I suspect the truth is starting to erase their "faith" and they are desperately grasping at straws as they sink in a sea of evidence and truth.

  • I love it when atheists watch this videos and dislike it. you search for proves but when you come across one that you dont like, you refute it. Very funny behaviour. Coming from a tribe of truth seekers and free thinkers. Evolution through divine creationism itself is a more logical explanation and the troublesome evolution by natural selection.

  • @sheffieldgeek Well said, Think they sometimes forget that evolution is a religon itself that it takes faith to belive that a cell can split in to two or a postive mutation which no one has seen lol

  • @Sofyn "Well said"? You don't have a clue what you're talking about. First of all, evolution is a scientific theory that is demonstrably accurate and is considered the currently most accurate description of how life on earth ended up the way it is today.

Science doesn't claim to know everything.

Religions on the other hand base their truth simply on faith and the belief in 'God' which is just about as far as you can get from demonstrable science.

    You're a tool, sir/ma'am.

  • @sheffieldgeek This video is disliked because it is an inaccurate representation of the 'Cambrian Explosion'.

You're simply saying "I'll accept anything as long as I don't need to think for myself."

At least that's what I read in your comment.

  • This video is about 250 million years out of date.

    What about the Ediacaran fossils?

  • This is simply one the most ignorant video i've ever seen, whoever produced it has a very distorted understanding of basic biology and evolution

  • The very first sentance in this video is flat out wrong - I stopped watching right there.

Apparently they've never heard of the Ediacaran biota like Kimberella, Sprigginia, or Dickinsonia (to name a few)

  • No one knows how any of earth formed, so let's just call this an interesting, educated guestamate.

  • This is just dialectic. Nothing more. It's not empirical, doesn't cite any evidence or research. It takes an education to get free of this stuff.

  • Duuude... How does it feel to be so completely dishonest and misleading?

I mean you just have to know what you're saying isn't true. How do you justify your lies?

  • Did the actually quote DAWKINS as refuting Darwinian evolution by natural selection? Obvious quote mine. Dawkins is all over the web. Are they trying to look stupid?

  • @GalacticChimp how is it only quote mining when creationists use them. Of course Dawkins goes on to give his theory why this is not so, but his statement that the Cambrian strata of complex creatures appears suddenly is still true. I can site several "quote mining" of Einstein and Newton in "the god delusion" that had me boiling while reading it. Many Creationists push data that support their beliefs, but its only a different end of the same stick because people like Dawkins do the same thing.

  • @QuinnBook Quote mining is quote mining, regardless of who does it. This video is guilty of quote mining. It is only obvious to people who know Dawkin's work that he went on to show that the Cambrian creatures had an evolutionary history, after the short passage of his that this video quotes. To viewers who do not know his work it appears that he supports creationism. That is a quote mine; His words are represented out of context. I would like to see evidence of quote mining in The God Delusion.

  • @GalacticChimp your reply here is fair. I kinda agree with you. as to the God Delusion, Dawkins chose the quotes that supported his argument and left out many that contradict. He made Newton look like he was simply a God of gaps type due to lack of knowledge and that he would most likely be an atheist today, when really Newton wrote more on theology and fulfilled bible prophecy than science related material.

  • @GalacticChimp In fact I would argue from his writings that Newtons work on light and thermodynamics was biblically inspired.

  • @QuinnBook

was his work on alchemy(trying to turn lead into gold, specifically) also bible inspired?

newton also predicted the date the world would end according to his independent biblical studies.

what we know about newton is that he was indeed an incredibly brilliant man

    he believed in the bible

    he believed in alchemy also

does that mean alchemy is true?

his work on physics and mathematics can be corroborated by anyone and it has lead to a lot of progress in many fields.

  • fucking god made thows worms !

  • religion nut case

  • How can one argue with someone who simply "believes" something? The rationalize anything away to support their view.

Well, as long as they're not complete hypocrites and go to war to kill etc., then I can be okay with.. oh, wait.

    Nutters!

  • I've got it now - Adam & Eve were trilobites!!!

  • just because sharks can replace there teeth doesn't mean that every animal from then on wards should have that ability. dont try and spin theories and scientific evidence, to work in the favor of creationists. thats just lowering yourself, making you seem desperate, maybe try shitting in your own mouth.

  • *WARNING*

    Anti Science propaganda!

Not to be taken as actual information about the real Earth.

  • you do NOT get to use the Twin Peaks theme to spread your creationist bilge.

  • ***WARNING*** THIS IS A RELIGIOUS VIDEO NOT A SCIENTIFIC ONE. If you are trying to learn science you have come to the wrong place.

  • @MikeBrianDanMolly

Why are facts that contradict Darwins theory blasphemy to a atheist? Can you show me the fossil steps that lead up to the Cambrian fossils? I guess Science is only science when it agrees with your atheist world view.

  • @FeignofCordor wow.. so true mate!

  • @FeignofCordor Its not blasphemy, its ignorance and we dont say you will burn for eternity for disbelieving. Its like a classics teacher constantly having to defend his claim that the romans existed. Or half the world believing that earth is flat. If the FlatEarthSociety started teaching in school you would want to stop it. btw evolution is a non-factor in atheism,

  • @rossini55

The chap I was replying to called it blasphemy not me I was merely addressing this.

I would rather stick to the subject of the video but for some reason people keep going off the Cambrian fossils and back to religion.? With Ignorance toward my Christian faith I might add.

The facts are that if Darwin was alive today he would gladly accept his theory was wrong regarding all species coming from one cell and that we`re all related to that single cell.

  • @FeignofCordor "The facts are that if Darwin was alive today he would gladly accept his theory was wrong ...."

Er that is rather a bold claim that you asseert as 'fact'. How on earth can you possibly know for a 'fact' what Darwin would say if he was alive today?

Your idea of what a fact is differs from mine.

  • @MikeBrianDanMolly thanks

  • WTF?!? This starts out sounding like a 1950 science film and quickly turns into Islamic Crap.

  • 71 people were creationists.

  • 3:22 best Richard Dawkins quote mine ever. The very next line says, "Needless to say, this appearance of sudden planting has delighted creationists."

  • The bible doesn't mention anything about youtube so therefore youtube doesn't exist.

  • @lukebccb people, who have lived, when the bible has been written didn´t know what the internet is. how should they describe it, even though god should has shown them?

  • @ZionKid95: the bible doesn't mention anything about the internet so therefore the internet doesn't exist.

  • Really?

Oldest fossils only date back to the Cambrian period?

Never heard of Stromatolites or microfossils when you were being home schooled.

  • I skipped alot of the vid just to hear what he said, but there was alot of errors... so I watched the vid from the beginning to see if this was a christian video, and at about 1:40 he said Darwinian Evolution was false.

*sigh*... another factually wrong christian video.

  • the cambrian period lasted 50million+ years that is allot of time to develop the most basic of sensory arrays such as primitive eyes and a light outer shell also there was fossils found and recordings of life before this event (cambrian explosion) such as jelly fish and and basic arthropods, the cambrian explosion was named this due to the explosive level in advancements that took place such as eyes and propellent systems. i'm 15 i know more than this guy

  • "Species such as jellyfish, starfish and snails" ... hmmmm ... perhaps you should review the definition of specie. Jellyfish are a subphylum, starfish are a class, snails are also a class. As DuykRuyk notes, "not a single sentence he says is accurate"

  • The oldest jellyfish fossil is from 505 million years ago, see

Citation: Cartwright P, Halgedahl SL, Hendricks JR, Jarrard RD, Marques AC, et al (2007) Exceptionally Preserved Jellyfishes from the Middle Cambrian. PLoS One 2(10). This is well after the Cambrian Expolsion (530 million years ago.)

  • Most of the video is wrong and the guy forgets that if his video is correc it shows 2 things:

    1) The christian bible is wrong about the genesis story . and the earth is older than 6000 years since he talks about cambric period

    2) We still havent found a rational story for the origin of life, but it is not scientific to say that becasue we don't know how it hapened it was god! Common!

You sound like a 8 year old, I failed my math exam, i didn't know the answes! Must have been god's will!

  • @donnomar harun yahya is muslim so he doesnt care of bible.

  • The whole idea of this guy is to look at something and call it "complex" because the features that the genes generate, looks complex, appealing and certainly more practical to have.

Like the shark's teeth, in early days already they could grow back after losing those. But therefore it isn't necessary complex... it's just a genetic coincidence.

  • he is so stupid

  • Youtube should force these creationists’ users to tell the viewers up front that these are religious videos, under the guise of science

  • "...contrary to evolution, they have complex bodies..." yes... until punctuated equilibrium was discovered. Way to keep up with the times.

  • @thegodlessatheist lol you just owned him :-)

  • Rubbish

  • ****WARNING****

Watching this video will lower your IQ and guarantee that your education will be reduced.

  • Creationist video..... Do not enter

  • i thought i was going to be watching a cambrian early life documentry, instead within a few seconds i get anti evolution propaganda, and the first words he speaks are lies or perhaps giving him the benefit of the doubt, second thoughts after carrying on listening, he is talking closed mind religous propaganda.

how about the bot fly, did god create a insect species to prey on humans , if creationism is true then god created the bot fly to snack on creatures he created in his own image .

  • this is just plain and simple creationist propaganda: scientific illittercy and quote mining... that's their thing..

  • Now I am utterly convinced that the flying spaghetti monster appeared on earth all of a sudden and perfectly formed and does not derive from a simpler organism...

  • no intermediate transitional forms? just google it xD I personally can name dozens and as a fact every creature alive right now IS A TRANSITIONAL SPECIES OF ITS PARENTS TO ITS CHILDREN!

  • These religions always change their "teachings", ha ha ha! At first, they were teaching that Earth would be a flat disc, directly "in the center of the entire universe". Science finally showed Earth is round. Now they agree and behave like they would have always said the same (and not burned people of that believe in hit fires).

  • It did make it to 23 second before the first lie, kind of a slow start. Most creationist's videos don't get past 7 seconds. It was the first sentence though.

  • Anybody else appreciate how he uses the Twin Peaks theme music in the opening? What a nice ambiance for far-fetched, ridiculous fiction.

  • "Species appear all at once"....."at once" being a period of 80-100 million years?

  • Comment removed

  • Cite some sources that aren't from the 80's next time

  • excessive reiteration makes it dubious every time

  • How do you not know intelligent design could be a good explanation for things, who says Darwinistic evolution is the only answer to everything biological. Basically you are believing Darwinism to be so true as if its a religion and can't be questioned. Science is a search for truth, not something one comes into learning being bashed with macroevolution as the only truth to everything.

  • @deirhese66 we know because the one claim that intelligent design makes - that there are certain things which are irreducibly complex is completely wrong. they tried to use flagella and other such things in court as examples of irreducible complexity but real scientists testified and demonstrated how they could still perform a function even if you took away dozens of the proteins.

  • @deirhese66 They don't question evolution any more, there is too much evidence for it.

  • youre an idiot. and a creationist. this video, makes me sick. int he name of science, you should be beaten, to question science because of your own beliefs, how dare you!

  • Well it was a Cambrian video made by some one who beleivez in a god so of course it is gonna be made to seem like they came into existence without using all the facts

  • all of the species in the pictures he mentioned did not form during the cambrian period, endless bullshit

  • i loved "many very different species appeared suddenly", as if 80-100 million years is 'suddenly LOL

  • you'd think someone calling themself john farrraday might have a clue about science, eveidently not

  • I considered some statements odd, but accepted them as possible facts,

then came the inconsistences. but i admitted that i liked the pictures,

then came the controversies, and thought that the movie maker had a screw loose in his head,

then came the downright flaming of evolution, and i tried hard to consider if what he said was true,

but then came GOD, and i was saved!

    watch 8:25

  • @Meansofviewing Well al statements can ne considered facts. Not all are true. Some people say fairies are responsible for flowers and gardens growing nice when fairies are not real. The statement of fairies is a fact while not being a true one.

  • i lul'd

  • o yeah.. this blows the theory of evilution overboard... good luck finding a rabbit fossil in the cambrian explosion creationist fucktards ;)

try to learn how to tie your own shoelaces, and then maybe you'll actuallly understand how to invalidate evolution. take it slowly, in easy steps... sems to work most of the time.

  • aha... good that the trilobite's eyes were so wonderfully designed. too bad ours are poor as shit. too bad the optic nerve goes in front of the retina and blocks off light.

it seems the optic engieered was a little too imaginative.

waste of time + piece of shit. double combo

  • Creationist propaganda. Waste of time.

  • He starts with a lie, and continues in the same way.

  • sounds like some harun yahya bullshit

  • HAHAHAHAHA nice try, but you clearly know nothing about the transitional phase between prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Once that transition was made, the evolution to become multicellular and more complex was rapid, but not instant. And when i say rapid, i mean it happened over thousands if not millions of years. Cambrian creatures did not simply appear out of nowhere. They evolved from eukaryotic single cellular creatures known as protists.

  • @ThisIsTheSpud The guy speaking clearly did not complete his research (either that, or he's outright lieing, but I'm choosing to give him the benefit of the doubt here).

Even more than the incomplete research, though, I'm having a hard time getting how you can believe the Cambrian era but not evolution (or, at least, gradual development). What, does he believe god created all the creatures of each geological era, waited a few million years, wiped them out, and then started fresh?

  • Lies and quotemining, typical creationist fodder.

  • why is the music from twin peaks playing?

  • This sounds like he speaking like he knows what he is talking about but not a single sentence he says is accurate.

  • @DuykRuyk I don't see you citing any examples. Nor answering any.

  • @bheadh There's no need to. Science, not the bible, has found the answer out already. Citing scientific examples and then saying "god did this" hardly counts as an example of creation let alone an answer.

  • @DuykRuyk i noticed that too, from the very start he says "the oldest strata in which fossils are found is the cambrian" to which i said "that's not true, there are precambrian fossils too" then the next sentence "apart from single celled organisms no fossils have been found in strata older than the cambrian" to which i said "thats not true, there were some multi-celular fossils in the precambrian too" and it just keeps going. about when he said "contrary to evolutionary theory" i stopped.

  • Comment removed

  • Great statement, give an example.

  • @QuinnBook Sorry, got a lot of stuff to do. How about you open up a biology book and read the chapter on the Cambrian explosion.

  • First sentance is a lie lol

  • OMG this is so retarded it must be a parody of Creationist imbecility!

  • So if there was no evolution where are the Cambrian rabbit fossils?

  • this is super dumb

  • First sentence is not correct, there are preCambrian fossils.

    Multi-celled Pre-Cambrian fossils, 2.

New PHYLA evolved, not just new species. Wrong again, 3 in 44 seconds

  • "The oldest stratum in which fossils are found is the cambrium"

First sentence - first lie, for example google for Spriggina

  • @technowizard78

    "Google for Spriggina"

Yup. People could also google for "Ediacaran", "Aspidella", "Kimberella", "Charnia", etc. Apparently the late Pre-Cambrian seas were teaming with large organisms, even if none of them are familiar to us. The Cambrian Explosion doesn't seem to have been particularly sudden after all.

  • @technowizard78 Bang on there are fossils from the Ediacarian and Tommosian eras

both preceeding the Cambrian. Also the eyes of current insects are nothing like the eyes of Trilobites. they also had forerunners, they were just too small to be fossilized.

Laws this is a crock, one dubious statement after another, misquotation and other screw ups.

  • - A few believed that the Cambrian fossils represented the moment of God's creation of animals, or the first deposits laid down by the biblical Flood. Darwin wrote, "the difficulty of assigning any good reason for the absence of vast piles of strata rich in fossils beneath the Cambrian system is very great," yet he expressed hope that such fossils would be found, noting that "only a small portion of the world is known with accuracy."

  • Since Darwin's time, the fossil history of life on Earth has been pushed back to 3.5 billion years before the present. Most of these fossils are microscopic bacteria and algae. However, in the latest Proterozoic — a time period now called the Vendian, or the Ediacaran, and lasting from about 650 to 540 million years ago — macroscopic fossils of soft-bodied organisms can be found in a few localities around the world, confirming Darwin's expectations."-

    - University of California -

  • @technowizard78 I think you missed the ''520 million years ago'' part of history.

  • Comment removed

  • @gregrutz Could you please clarify your sentence?

  • This is just disputing the theory of evolution. There is nothing here that gives any new insight into Earths history. Don't you think that if something appears to be missing pre Cambrian then we should be searching for that instead of disputing another theory?

  • Intelligent design is a pseudoscience, according to scientists. I like to call it hillbilly science :))

  • sudenly lol the cambrian Explosion was between 5 and 10 million years,

    Fucking fucktard asshats
