I was probably the only undergrad in my math dept. that didn't find this funny. It's not offensive--I'm no prude--It's just that I don't understand why anyone would find it funny if they are having the same issues with basic point-set topology.

@TFI2010gmail One's frustrations can be made humorous if someone else is able to articulate them in a certain way if at all. This is probably because it may be difficult to articulate those frustrations in the first place and one may think that she is the only one going through such difficulties. So somehow through a combination of "Me, too!" and "That's exactly how I feel!", it is humorous.

A while ago I tried to teach myself topology from Simmons' Introduction to Topology and Modern Analysis. I hadn't taken a Real Analysis course, but I persisted. It took me like four months to get through the first three chapters (in part because I insisted on doing every exercise), at which point I quit because it all seemed so pointless (no pun intended). Watching this was cathartic. I've never laughed so hard about something so nerdy in my life!
