@kukuricaman Well just to give you a heads up if you didn't aleady know, the Gigabyte card will vent it's heat into the case, opposed to the reference designed Evga 580. The Evga GTX 580 will vent it's heat out of the back of the case. If you're planning on getting a non-reference card, make sure your case has VERY good airflow. Plus, if you want to sli two non-reference 580s, they could reach high temps due to airflow constriction. BUT, the Superoverclock will oc better, and perform better too.

@Crawlerz2468 Yes that is true BUT the SC card is already OC'd a lot and it will run hot in your case unless you have really good case cooling so it wouldn't make any sense to oc the sc card. All in all if you really wanted to save like what 20 bucks then you could just go to the non oc version and just overclock it to the sc's speeds and then hope that you are lucky in that it won't overheat...

I currently own an ATI card and it's drivers are not bad at all! I've *NEVER* had a driver or card crash because:

1) I never overclock, why? It'll become unstable w/ any card! Nvidia or ATI!

2) I always download the *LATEST* drivers from *ATI's* website.

3) I always have proper cooling in my case! That includes enough space between cards and so on...

I think most of the issues are from inexperienced users who either overclock the card(s) improperly or don't have proper cooling in their case!

@darkcg79 Exactly why I ditch my 5770 and upgraded to a gtx 470. Updated to 260.99 drivers and haven't farted around with drivers since. Where as with Ati drivers I was constantly waiting for an update that worked properly under win7. But never got the chance to see that happen cause I was over Ati crap drivers.

Nothing wrong with the gpu's themselves from the price to performance and quality aspect. I quite like the rendering with Ati aswell as Nvidia. But PhysX, I gotta have it now.

The last time I had problems with ATI drivers was with a radeon 9800pro and that was fixed after a month. I have readed about a special chip on the card that is restricting the power consumption to 250 w and when you stress it with fur mark the clocks are falling down to prevent card failure WHAT? so i am not able tu use 100% of the card when i need to do so?
