Eosd released in 2002 so i subtracted

2002-495 and i got the year of 1507

I did the same for remilia and got the year 1502

The fights seem to be a perfectly reasonable way to take out their frustrations without seriously hurting anyone-- The Spell Card rules Reimu came up with ensure that confrontations are nonlethal competitions where each side has a fair chance of winning. That's why someone never takes advantage of their powers in a way that would kill the opponent, like Yuyuko or Flan.

Since nobody gets hurt, it seems like a pretty good system!

@sanguinarius2 Well, GETTING there took me about 2.5 weeks with 1 hour of EoSD per day. Actually making it through the onslaught, patchouli and the second onslaught of the Extra stage didn't take too long either.

... but Flandre keeps headbutting me so hard my skull hits my pelvis. Continously. I never made it further than Taboo "Maze of Love". Never. And I've fought her about 20 times by now.

@Irrenhaus3 Do you use the VSync Patch (or "VPatch")? Using this will greatly reduce the input lag for Touhou games 06-09, and will slightly improve Touhou 10's input lag (which is already less than in the previous games). It also stops horrible screen tearing.

You might also want to consider using the retexturing and hitbox patch (unless you're a "purist").

As for "Maze of Love", don't go around in circles; you can dodge straight through the walls with the same movements every time.

Touhou 06 was my first experience with a danmaku / bullet-hell game, and I 1CC'd it on Normal Difficulty in less than five days (playing it maybe 20-30 minutes each day). Didn't try the Extra Stage back then, I dropped Touhou for a few months.

Came back a few months later, beat the entire Extra Stage in just 5 tries.

It isn't nearly THAT difficult.

@lindo222222 Touhou on Hard Difficulty is still rather easy. I beat Touhou 07 in Hard on my first attempt, and it's made even worse by the fact that ZUN intends it to be "arcade difficulty". Touhou 10-12 are really the only legitimately challenging games.

Still, there apparently are some people who can't beat it on Normal. Why, I don't know.

Also, people who have played other serious shmups know that Touhou is comparatively easy. I suggest you try DoDonPachi DaiOuJou in MAME.
