I just love Barbossa, he is much better then Jack Sparrow. He is smart, charming and much more experienced captain. He is a villain, but after all, he is a pirate gentleman. :-) And I love his sense of humor. :-D I would be honored to sail on his ship. (The Black Pearl is his, it always was and will be)

Hector Barbossa a true Pirate's Pirate captain, he was honestly there for his crew though thick or thin. Sure he got his crew the first time by Betrayal but then Jack was just Crazy.... But he had honor and would not kill his old captain out right even made him the Governor of a rum runner's Ilse... Talk about a nice retirement plan... The second time he gains a crew he earns their loyalty enough to Lead them to the ends of the earth and back... Not many captains earn that respect.

WORD. I really enjoyed Barbossa in CoTBP but methinks he was slightly overshadowed by the insanity of Johnny Depp's performance. However, by the time the third movie hit it was rather 'Oh haha, Jack's still several fries short of a happy meal. DAMN, when did Barbossa get so sexy?' He's always kicked ass, he just needed more time in the spotlight and the chance to be something other than a tragic villain :D
