You don't tug on Superman's cape. You don't spit into the wind. You don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger. And you don't make fun of the drink of a man 6-foot-7 and 280 pounds. Who played for both Woody Hayes and Ted Williams and survived.
Howard = greatest Ranger of all time. 10 hrs in 20 at bats an impossible record to be broken. Only fair ball ever hit out of Yankee Stadium. Ump said foul. Bobby Mercer had the best view said it was fair.
I Remeber this commercial very well, I was 7 yeras old in 1969 and Living in Oxon Hill, Maryland. (Apple Grove neighborhood) off of Bock Road. I still have the Frank Howard washington Star newspaper poster that came out. What GREAT memories. 1961-1971 Senators, Great years.
What did the Washington Senators turn into again? And why did they move?

Notice he is number 9. This had to be 1968 not 1969. Williams was the one wearing #9 in 1969. Good commercial though.

It's been 40 years since I last saw this commercial. Baseball needs people like Hondo now more than ever. Thanks so much for posting this video.
