  • That's one hell of a death growl at the end of the song.

  • すご

  • The best performance of this song.

  • You can tell its day 1(not by the title): His vocals are still perfect. As much as I love him, you can definitely tell how late in a tour they are by Kyo's tired voice or the others' backup screams, and yet they all still go on and make a kick ass show for everyone.

  • I Love the part between 0:00 and 4:14

  • Seeing them On December 22nd and im so excited tht im going to explode :D

  • this dvd makes me jizz when i watch it.

  • :D I really gotta try see them live, if I do I want them to perform this song,,, this is the song that got me into DEG and my fave song \m/

  • Nothing else in current rock music compares to this. For one thing, nobody else has a voice like that.

  • @LoveMyv91 true nobody has a voice and vocal range as his \m/

  • kyosan ur sound so cool

  • Kyo has so many voices I'd say he's like Mike Patton of Japan :D great song and even better live performance (Y)

  • @kodoku42 More like, Mike Patton is like Kyo of USA. : /

  • @cooljazz1997 Not going to argue. Both are great and unique in their own ways. That being said, I've been listening to Diru so much lately I'd more likely use your metaphor -b :D

  • @cooljazz1997 Mike patton came first

  • @THEREALMOSH2 ...yeah, I don't think that was his point.

  • @cooljazz1997 should we really take you seriously after that sentence?

  • That's right, 0 dislikes. It's hard to hate true art, unless you are deaf!

  • Kyo is a fucking beast!!!! No one does music like them :D

  • I love 0:40 - 0:41 moment. So awesome!

  • Old school Toshiya bass style. Marrow was their best album in my opinion <3 Dir En Grey

  • I love you Die <3 *-*

  • Ho....! wth im taller than Kyo!! Hes only like 5'3" (160cm) tall!! :O

  • Why does Toshiya play like that?

  • @WolfDogzzz Toshiya used to play this song with a pick but over the last few years, he's been ditchin it. He only plays with a pick during RED SOIL the last time i checked. He's turned to slap/finger bass.

  • @ESPVIPER01 Thanks bro, and I have one more question: Do you know Why Toshiya dresses like that now?

  • @ESPVIPER01 that's the way to play bass!

  • This song has one of the best lyrics I've ever heard from them. It doesn't sound as good when it's been translated to english. but the words in japanese is so much more powerful, and there's somewhat of a beauty in it. It sounds like it came out of his poetry book...

  • @bluebebop615 it is true..in englisjh its still good though it has that dark soliloquoy feel to it..and not alot of japanese music can be translated and still sound good like that :3

  • I don't know why, but whenever he sings this, his voice seems to jump into perfect pitch mode.

*Q* this is probably my favourite live song. If they play this once I see them live, I will die a happy person.

  • DA BEST!!!

  • god i love this song! had it on my ipod for months and never heard it until today and now i think it's my favorite song by dir en grey. i dont understand japanese but i get the impression that this is a very sad song.

  • @TheRed343 Diru doesn't really have any happy songs. Even their upbeat songs like Jessica are sad.

  • @SSJ3Lunar lmao i know. i found it hilarious how kyo said he'd never write a song with a happy ending, but anyways what i meant was that this song just gives off a depressing aura to me. its the guitar riffs on kaoru's part i think.

  • @TheRed343 Just to inform you, Ryoujoku no Ame means Rain of Rape, you are indeed right, not very cheerful.

  • @blingadingading rofl! ROFL!! Really?? That's hilarious xD Yeah i know.. i'm fucked. DIR EN GREY IS PARTLY TO BLAME FOR MY INSANITY THOUGH! After i watched the pv for Obscure i was never the same. xD

  • @blingadingading actually i looked into it and apparently it actually means "rain of insults" lol just to inform you :P

  • @TheRed343 I don't know where you get translation from, but apparently from Japanese to English, i read that ryoujoku as a word comes close to England concept of 'violate' or rape, I as person would not make ryoujoku as insult, much more bad than this.

  • @blingadingading fun :D

  • @blingadingading It all depends on the kanji used. 陵辱 is read as "ryoujoku" as well and that's the one that translates to "insults." 凌辱, however, translates to "rape" and that's the one that's used in the title of the song. Japanese is tricky like that.

  • 1:34 goddamn Die......

  • @qornphlake lmao yeah he does that a lot on stage, im surprised i havent seen him break a string during a performance cuz he really likes to rail on them! xD

  • This song gives me the chills. Toshiya, Shinya Kaoru, Die are perfect! Kyo's voice is eternal :)

  • Usually, when it's at the Nippon Budokan, and Dir en Grey, it's usually going to be one heck of a performance. This song is amazingly rich, and I can't think of a time it's been performed best live.

  • ive noticed that Kaoru plays 3 strings in his guitar has he always been playing 3 strings or does he do that every once in a while?

  • @UrMoveHolyMan90 it because they play in drop tuning it makes it easy to play the chords in a brick string style rather than making the long arse hand pattens

  • There's something about this song that's somehow unsettling, I think in the composition of the music, but it's unsettling in a good way. It makes you pay attention and it makes the song unique. One of my favorite Dir en grey songs, it really shows everyone's talent well, especially Kyo's ability to have equally powerful singing and screaming.

  • 3:49 "YAAAAAAAAOOOOO" was priceless

  • Ohhh!! I like the part in the he sing 'Burning into myself' xD!!

  • @wutevaboi I agree. You sense alot of Die throughout the entire performance, due to alot of his improv'.

    I love it. :]

  • gotta love dir en grey, you can't help it!

  • One of the best DVDs I own...

  • @wutevaboi If you wear earphones while listening to this song you can hear Die's guitar in your right ear and Kaoru's guitar in your left ear, than you will hear that Kaoru is doing the solo.

  • @wutevaboi

1.) on the record the solo is played with the LEFT guitar, which usually is Kaoru's...DIE is just doing some strumming along with it

2.) Kaoru playin' the solo: most clearly to see al 02:11

    Greetings, Denis

  • @wutevaboi

    Kaoru plays the solo ;)

  • Loving the whole damn song... but def. diggin the guitar adlibs they do live.

    WIN

  • I didn't know Kyo could do guttural growls like that.

    Pretty awesome

  • @KryWolf7 Where have you been XD

  • Holy crap! Kyo's voice at 2:19 is epic. If I heard that coming out of some creature in the middle of the night, I would be scared shitless. The whole performance was awesome, but that one part stood out to me.

  • i concur, amazing dvd..how the shit does he do this and not drop dead!

  • @Klauf108 I am pretty sure the weird sound in his voice over the scream is actually the tone from the pinch harmonic the guitar is hitting in the background...hmmm

  • @Klauf108 Man, you really don't listen enough metal to say that. Because the metal scene is full of screams like that, and some are much more strong and painful :P

  • @Klauf108 I didnt shit myself. But it did give me chills. HA!
