actually pepsi won the taste tests...because consumers were only lightly sipping the colas...they weren't downing an entire can and pepsi starts to get heavy and lose it's initial flavor...thank you malcolm gladwel "blink"

Just tried throwback, me and my friend couldn't tell a difference. Now I've tried pure sugar Coca-Cola and noticed a difference, it tasted better. This Pepsi throwback tastes no different from regular corn-syrup Pepsi. FAIL.

I agree with you about the mexican coke. However, for pepsi, to me it takes like the pre 1984 formula. The only thing Pepsi left out was Citric acid which was used in addition to it then. I do, however, thinks the throwback tastes better than regular pepsi because the HFCS is too sweet, and it has some sort of chemical taste to it. The throwback tastes more natural, not too sweet, but not like diet pepsi either. But just right.

Its not near as thick as the "modern version". I mostly drink water so maybe thats why I can tell. It doesn't leave that gross feeling sodas can leave in you..at least in my opinion.

I was a Pepsi drinker and remember the time before fructose. I switched to Coca Cola.

Pepsi Throwback is a treat, better than Coke. Fructose destroys the taste in all Pop.

Pepsi Throwback is awesome. It's like an instant trip back in time...all the way back to THE 90'S!!! AAHHHHHH But it is very good. That's what Pepsi is supposed to taste like.

The review...meh. I mean, watching you drink a soda, and then just saying, I like it. Isn't a review. Review the soda. Give us flavor characteristics...something. Get a reglular Pepsi and taste them side by side. The difference is VAST. Over all, not a BAD review...but could have been better.

I love Pepsi Throwback!! It tastes a LOT better than the high-fructose corn syrup kind. It tastes smoother, kind of creamy, and the bubbles don't assault the tongue. I've contacted Pepsi and asked them to keep making this product regularly, so hopefully other people have too and then maybe they will. I'm sick of H-FCS being in all our food, when sugar is better tasting and isn't as harmful. Unused H-FCS goes straight to the blood and organs, where unused cane sugar usually goes out the bowels.

It's awesome, and a lot of people say it tastes good because of the sugar, but it's made how it was used to, 5 ingredients, really good, there ARE some places where you can find some Coke made with sugar, like mexican places though

If you see coke with a yellow cap, it is coke for passover and is sweetened with sucrose rather than high fructose corn syrup. It is amazingly good. I find high fructose corn syrup to have an awful after taste. I like diet even better.

To be honest I thought this would be really dumb at first, but as I watched into your review it was pretty informative. I also agree with you, Pepsi Throwback is WONDERFUL. I had a taste of real sugar Pepsi when I was in Japan a few years ago. They don't use corn syrup.
