Can you imagine Jaco with these guys ... ? Wow ! I like Stanley,Marcus and Victor, but i am a big fan of Jaco :) Jaco was more in jazz, for example when he soloing he uses more jazz scales with chromatics, not only pentatonic and classic scales :) These guys are playing more fusion, funk jazz, jazz rock
While I hold Jaco in a high, high place, these three guys are "it" in the modern time...just listen to what Marcus does mid way through this video- and Stanley and Victor together as well...I cant imagine what this must have been like to see in person
you mean the "truth" and no it is not, as far as Mark King goes thats your opinion not the truth, I already schooled you on the pioneers of the bass and whom among the living are the best in the world and thats fine that you refuse to believe the "truth" and Im not even gonna waste anymore time nor effort responding to anymore of your opinionated comments so keep typing your biased comments because no one agrees or cares as far as Mark King goes because he has nothing to do with this video
Well there are many many more underrated bassist in the world you might not heard before. For Stanley, Marcus and Victor..They are being the best of themselves. Nobody can comment who is better or not. It differs according to one's opinion.
for friend inteligente: watch the video while gentil my guitar(mark king, eric clapton, elton john,g.herrison)look at their faces, moviments of mark king and understand.look at the video leaving me now 1991 and do same thing. and in the end if you want to look only mark king solo 10 change bollenge.
First of all you should learn to spell. Then second of all. EVERYTHING that Mark King does Cstanley Clarke has done before. I am myself a huge Mark King fan and can play all Level 42 basslines, but i also recon when the "true" masters comes along. And there is no doubt that MK is not even close to be in the same league as SMV. And if you dont know who graham, johnson, jamerson and not to forget Duck dunn. If you dont know them, then i feel sorry for your lack knowlegde in bass players!!
aside from jaco, the best bass players in the world are the living legends on this video and your comments have nothing to do with this video and these three are masters on the bass not professionals but masters and can blend in any genre of music, Mark King is not anywhere on their level
sorryyyyy the best bass guitar player in the world are mark king jaco pastorius and stanley clarke. i'm sorry. fullstop. king and pastorius. after clarke................
and once again Mark King isn't in this video and has nothing to do with this video so why dont you take your comments to some videos that actually feature Mark King, because in this video its Masters of the Bass only, no professionals allowed
I have not offended anyone, you are offended, why? I know why. listens to the best bassists in the world are those that have changed way of playing to maximum levels. mark king and Pastorius are n1 in the world. resigned and accept the truth. you look on my video with pleasure. gianfranco.
you keep saying the samething over and over again, Marcus Miller has played on almost 500 albums playing with people such as Elton John Herbie Hancock Paul Simon, Dizzy Gillespie, and Marcus Miller formed and went tour with group called "Legends" which consisted of marcus miller, david sanborn, joe sample, steve gadd and " Eric Clapton" not to mention he has 2 grammys and one of those grammys is from his 2001 album M2 being the first and only bassist to win a grammy for a solo album
listen, do not compare ever more the king of low world mark king to a good bass player who listens. do not do it anymore. respect your tastes but the highest in the world are the low mark king and Jaco Pastorius. mark on the jaco and funky electric jazz. all others are after .....
Mark King is nowhere to be found in this video why did you even type anything in the first place and the bass players that are in this video have also changed the way of playing, your probaly just "offended" because Mark King isnt playing in this video and you think by telling FALSE statements like he the best is the world will over shadow the three Legendary Masters in this video, like i said in this video its Masters of the Bass Only no professionals allowed
Pastorius is not even on this video, and even if it had not been living'd seen. not continue so the truth is mine. apart from clarke ...... the best have bassists of the world mark king and Jaco Pastorius. is too obvious. Pastorius king in funky jazz and electric ............ point enough. point and that's all. you say the rest are just words .... and the words fly.
exactly, Jaco isnt in this video and neither is Mark King so if you like Jaco and Mark King and they arent in this video so...why did you bother even typing anything in the first place if they arent in the video, maybe you typed your first comment because you actually thought someone would agree with your claim about Mark King being the best in the world, but I guess you cant save everybody, so in your own world Mark King is the Best
Unfortunately in life there is the reality. even if you like miller, etc .... wooten the best bassists of all time mark is king in funky and Pastorius in electric jazz. Just then more. not respond if we want before miller and wooten there are alain CARON, jeff berlin, jimmy earl etc .... so learn and study. king and Pastorius, then berlin, Caron, earl, clarke .....
first all Marcus Miller has been playing professionally for over 30 years, the man is a Legend and its not like he came on to the scene a couple of years ago and second you obviously mention Jaco and Stanley but I dont see Larry Graham or James Jamerson names I think you need to study because before any bass player there was james jamerson who played on the motown hits of the 60's He transcended the standard "bass line" being the most influential bassist of all time
Who? ah ah ah, but with whom I speak? I understand your state primary and close the debate for lack of culture you are right ...... ok? ok? You are absolutely right .... goodbye and good wishes for the study .....
and believe it or not James Jamerson influenced Jaco, after James there was Larry Graham who invented "the slapping technique" which changed the way the bass is played forever and after James and Larry then Stanley Clarke and Jaco came on to the scene in that chronological order so your the one who needs to study, I know my bass players as far as the infuential ones that paved the way and the ones that are worth knowing goes,so there you have it and you still havent anwsered my question
Btw you should see gianfrancospagnulore video posts here, he plays some Mark King stuff, but but but he suck, so i wouldn't ut to much in to his words hahahaha
like i said Mark King isn't anywhere near Marcus Miller,Stanley Clark or Victor Wootens level, just cause Mark King can play some fast solos does not make him the best in the world, it's not all about speed being the best means being able to play well in the background and backup the other instruments and being able to play with anybody or any music genre totally versatile not just play fast solos that's the original purpose of the bass
just to let you know ... mark king has played with Billy Cobham, gary husband, Allan Holdsworth, Elton John, George Harrison, Paul Mc Cartney, Eric Clapton, do you know? do you know Allan Holdsworth ????????????? ok.
Can you imagine Jaco with these guys ... ? Wow ! Don't forget Stanley started the whole solo bass revolution before everyone. He truly liberated the instrument early going back to 73"-74".
