As an avid Yesfan for 35+ years: this is just my opinion. Chris' side projects are usually very interesting. Saw the short tour of the Syn for example. This should have stayed as Cinema. Chris is very innovative by himself in side projects. He plays it too safe with Yes, because in short he has this REPUTATION to live up to. Take away Yes, and you have a very creative, very professional musician who is willing to take some risks. Cinema as Cinema would have probably been great!
At the expense of sounding like an idiot, what exactly is "Cinema"? I reckon I could Google it, but I would rather hear it from a true fan....Thanks!!!
@ TheSelectorsOriginal Thanks for sharing..however, could you please correct the information you posted. This is a Cinema demo, featuring Chris Squire (Lead Vocals, Bass), Trevor Rabin (Vocals, Lead Guitar & Guitars), Tony Kaye (Keyboards), Alan White (drums, percussion). Thanks again &, this is amazing & great insight into this. The musicianship & songwriting (especially from Trevor) is gorgeous & this has always been a personal favorite song of mine. Love Trevor's guitar solo at 3:32 & 5:08.
@arweiss100 i've actually read that it might have been eddie jobson on keys here. there was a time when kaye was in and out of the picture before the final recordings.
@Putaspellonyou Thanks..FYI..Eddie Jobson was not involved with Cinema..this is not Yes here, this is Chris Squire's & Alan White's band, Cinema..before Yes..and this is one of their demos.
Squire is singing lead. My understanding is that they got Anderson after all of these Rabin songs were done. They needed a different type of lead vocal and Anderson liked what he heard. He had no song-writing input in 90215

Glad they didn't recruit Benoit, and called Jon back for this album....

'Cinema' was the band that Squire, White, and Kaye formed around Trevor Rabin's songs, vocals, and guitar.
Squire and Rabin were supposed to be dual lead vocalists but it didn't work out.
They got Jon Anderson and Squire decided to call the band 'Yes'.
Squire owns the name.

I am curious why you posted Anderson as vocals. Cinema was sans Anderson, he later came on board prior to Yes 90125.

I like this version better also.

Interesting version but I think the newer released version sounds better but I'm glad I heard this version though. This sounds very 70s LOL

definitely sounds like Ozzy!

Thanks for sharing this! Does anyone else think Squire sounds a bit like Ozzy on the vocals?
