At the beginning of the video the speedo is sitting at 20kmh and the rev counter seems to be stationary at around 1100rpm. Were you starting from a dead stop or rolling at 20? Only reason I ask is cause my friend has an'05 s40 t5 and the speedo sometimes just sits at 20kmh when he's at a dead stop; wanted to see if its a common problem on volvos

I was rolling at 20km/h cause there were some cars behind me. I never had any problems with my speedo.

The new version of the T6 actually has an extra 15 HP to make 300HP and an extra 25 pounds feet of torque to make 325 pounds feet of torque, so if you buy one you'll be quicker and use less gas!!

Such a shame, they don't supply V70 T6 to Russian Fed. =((( due to the low interest to this model, I wish I could buy one here. Bringing from Eu would cost me too much and no warranty would be available .... (Owner of V70R '03) =)

sounds exactly the same in my dad's XC60 T6! i think all volvo T6 engines sound all the same have have the same performance

I think it's exactly the same engine. Great sound, great torque, great power. But a huge disadvantage is the 6-speed automatic. From my point of view it works slowly and inefficiently...that's why for example an Audi A6 3.0T is much faster in acceleration.

Was yours a different version ? the one I've just spent 4 weeks driving had geartronic semi automatic box as well as the auto selection in both normal and sports mode. It would also give you auto kickdown should you need more acceleration.

@Fares89 I totally agree whit you. Tha automatic gearbox is really slow.. even in sport mode, the awd takes away alot of the speed to.

Is this the same motor in the xc60? i drove one on sunday and i was impressed with the inline 6 so much better than bmw or mercedes.

I dont get why volvo isnt seen better than audi's bmw and mercs! I mean there faster (sometimes) and much safer and the pretty clean aswell

@VolvoGoran It was in "sport mode". 99- Volvos with 5-6 speed transaxles have different logic systems than the older Volvos with the "sport, economy and winter" buttons. When this person floored it, it actually went into a fourth mode, "extreme sport".

@KLowD9x No, it wasn't. When you move the gear leaver ib to "manual" mode, with shifting up or down. The "D" changes to an "S" =sport.
