  • so if i use this, will i be able to deadlift a car like franco columbu?

  • @ThyrmBloodaxe nope. this guy just found a way to make some money. and guess what he did a fuckin good job id say.

  • @wafflecushioned This makeshift solution isn't advised for several reasons. It's unsafe, not adjustable, and not comfortable for use. That's the short response but you can go to our Forums to ask more extensive answers from the TRXperts. Cheers! - TEAM TRX

  • Are u claiming that with TRX, I won't need to go to the gym any more for body building?

  • @ehsanmon Actually, body building is a different focus if you're looking to only bulk up. Suspension Training targets commonly used muscles, however, you'll notice aches in muscles you didn't know existed. As a body builder, add reps and kettlebells to the workouts. Cheers! -TEAM TRX

  • The TRX team really needs to come over to Canada and do a few TRX trainer courses. I recently purchased one and it allows me to differentiate myself from any of the trainers that I work with and is just such a versatile product to use.

  • @zsoulja786 Hi there, We've been to Canada quite a few times teaching Courses. Be sure to jump on our website and go to TRAIN > Professional Education > Upcoming Courses (tab) and see where we will be. Cheers! TEAM TRX

  • @FitnessAnywhere Great thank you very much for the help. I will definately sign up for the course in Vaughan, Ontario. Its much appreciated!

  • @zsoulja786 Happy to be of service - TEAM TRX

  • TRX is awesome! People who complain about it are not... That's why they're broke!

  • The TRX Team has been in Germany last week, at the leading trade show for fitness I took a nice video about all those guys at the booth, lots of action and success.

look at youtube for: Fitness Übungen TRX Training auf der Fibo 2011

  • @RSteuermann Thank you! The video turned out extremely well!

  • the new thing in these days....lot of hype around this

  • Is this strong enough to do pullups with, like you would with a set of rings?

  • @HPMattias It definitely is

  • @TheConstructiveTroll We strongly agree with you. TEAM TRX does NOT support gay bashing in any form. We're taking action to remove the post immediately and regret not seeing this earlier. Thanks for your support.

    - TEAM TRX

  • @TheConstructiveTroll and please don;t forget to point out - why the offhanded bashing of gay people?

There are plenty of great athletes who happen to be LGBT.

  • Great Video Keep it up!

Check my page, I just made a PULL UP VIDEO!

  • My dream is to be a Navy Seal one day. Will this help me in BUDs?

  • @x4x0x7x I've known a few SEAL's and what I've learned from them was, have a "No quit attitude." Being an athlete is great, but can you do it while you are freezing, have not eaten in 2 days, have not slept for 3 days? And still perform at 100%. In shape is part of it. But they are huge on being mentally tough.

  • @x4x0x7x The short answer is yes. We recommend getting the TRX FORCE Kit and implementing the workouts accompanied with the gear. As you know, the key is to take it your exercises to the highest degree of difficulty so you're not the weakest link of the team. TRX will help get you to that level. We wish you the best and thank you for your service. TEAM TRX

  • Hmm, I just read this article, and I'm still left with the question: What is so special about TRX suspension training. I wonder where Mr. Hetrick got the idea for TRX? These things have already been around for almost a century. They're called "still rings", which are used in artistic gymnastics. Can you tell me what are the advantages of the TRX over still rings that gymnasts use?

  • @jrk987 Hi there, It doesn't sound like you've had the opportunity to use the TRX Suspension Trainer. It truly is full body workout demanding use of the core w/upper & lower body moves. As just mentioned, TRX provides upper/lower exercises at 360 degrees. Modify strap lengths to increase/decrease difficulty level and it's portable to set up most anywhere indoors or out. We advise finding an experienced TRX Trainer from our TRX Directory to take a spin on the gear. Thanks TEAM TRX

  • @jrk987 it is way better than those gay boy gymnastics ring things. if you dont have enough money to by the trx than you might have to improvise and use the gymnastic rings but if you have enough money to buy it.DER DER DER

  • @jrk987 i've used this only a few times but I can tell one advantage is access. Who on earth has access to gymnastic rings? Next even if I saw them, have you seen anything in the marketplace that trains the ordinary citizen on how to use them? I don't even know how the gymnasts use them. LOL!

This may be the same thing but access is one differentiator.

  • @boyshanks You're an idiot. Psst. Can I let you in on a secret? There's this amazing tool on the Internet that can help you find almost ANYTHING if you're willing to take the time to type it up. It's called "Google". Please don't tell people; it would give them a huge advantage! Accessibility for rings? Maybe if you used that "tool" you could find some on sale, which are far cheaper and superior to the TRX. If there is a manual and demo videos for the TRX, you can expect the same for rings.

  • Yeah, only here's the problem. I don't have any built in hook thing in my ceiling.

  • @xxAIRPLANESxx you don't need one, you can get them with a door hook, works fine

  • TRX has saved my Personal Training business.....Period. It is worth every Penny...

  • and so what if it is gimmicky? Does it get people to work out and take better care of themselves...yes, so great! and really, that's priceless. Sure, you could make something sort of like it--but it won't be guaranteed or tested and proven for weight and safety. I think it's great.

  • I made my own

  • My dad sells these in Denmark. That means he's the only one allowed to sell them. It's not so big, or popular in Denmark yet, but we try our best to make it so.

  • @AirSnitch2 Yes, it does mean he's the only one allowed. Please thank him for being one of our trusted Distributors. We look forward to spreading the TRX Movement to your country to help people get stronger for life-long fitness and health. Cheers!

  • @AirSnitch2 your dad is up to something. just think how convenient the trx might be in the winter?

  • @odinmp5 We just sell them.

  • Looks like a $10 D.I.Y. project...

  • Check out why the TRX is good for marathon traniing: HINMON_GWTM

  • trx is the best thing ever...

unfortunatly i cannot afford it.. in my country it goes for 250 u.s dollars.

  • @odinmp5

hey buddy if you`d like to get one let me know i can give a website that you get the Force kit of trx for like 75 us include shipping

  • @Masoud118 are you kidding me??...

it woudl be great....where do i clik?

  • @odinmp5 Please be aware of fake TRX's. They do not come with a warranty and several users get upset when their fakes start to fall apart after a few uses. You can go to our TRXtraining website to see our list of authorized sellers. Thank you - TEAM TRX

  • @odinmp5 check out your channel and look for message

  • TRX + KETTLEBELLS FTW

  • I absolutely love the TRX and personal I don't find it overpriced compared to other workout equipment which is usually in the $500-$1500 range, or some that require you to be certified before you can even buy the products or videos. This is by far my favorite piece of workout equipment because you don't need benches, weights or anything fancy. It's so versatile and allows you to workout pretty much any muscle you want. Can't imagine using anything else.

  • Yeah, I was looking at this but built one out of 550 cord...Then I saw a 'how to' in the army times and my buddy built one too. we call it BRX...Barracks Ripoff Exerciser.

  • I don't own the TRX but I do know someone who does. He likes it, it is abit pricey in my opinion. That being said it quite versatile and I probably will end up buying one. I will add this almost any piece of exercise equipment is effective, Providing you actually use it. People we see on all the infomercials are either actors or exceptions to the rule. These commercials are so damn deceiving. I'm not talking about TRX i'm just generalizing about all the fitness commercials.

  • @ILLINOISISCORRUPT Hi there, We believe really is the most versatile gear you can get that you can use anywhere. Don't feel like going to the gym or a class? Use it at home or the beautiful outdoors. At best, there's not excuse for not keeping your body strong.

And you'll be happy to know we don't have infomercials. All the people you see in our videos work at our company as Master Trainers, Trainers, Educators, Programmers and Employees - all avid users of the TRX.

    Cheers!

  • @ILLINOISISCORRUPT I am a Doctor of Chiropractic, and thoroughly recommend suspension training to capable individuals. I have found it useful in training balance, coordination, strength and proprioception (joint stability in space) - at the same time.the suspension form of training is abundantly useful to patient's as it adopts real world physics - moving in an unstable fashion in multiple directions without support.

  • @ILLINOISISCORRUPT TRX is CRAP!! Dont Buy it

  • Such a Great Training Tool !!! Completely sold on it after the first time of using it!!!

  • randy hetrick=vince vaughan

  • Would like to do an audio interview with Randy Hetrick. Sent him a message on LinkedIn last week, so just waiting to hear back from him. Hoping to have him on the SMARTER Team Training channel on iTunes.

  • Hi there, It doesn't sound like you've had the opportunity to train on the TRX. It really is an exceptional way to get stronger by leveraging your own body weight. The TRX Gear is designed for the safest, most versatile piece of equipment offering an endless range of training at every fitness level. Try it before you judge. We think you'll be pleased.

    Sincerely, Team TRX

  • So a navy seal ties a rope around a tree put some loops in it and does a workout with body weight we got ourselves a nobel prize winner here folks. I swear I played with rope as a kid and did stuff like this. Now this guy is trying to market it as a full body workout. Seriously folks of all the B.S. training equipment out there is the one of the most laughable this and the ab circle thing. This will give you a workout if used, but just the idea of marketing rope with loops is amusing.

  • Gimmick? NO. Overpriced? Somewhat. Effective? YES.

  • what a gimmick, use the park

  • @Soundgarden8497 Hi there, We actually know many people who find TRX very useful for rehabbing injuries and for getting stronger. But we agree that being able to workout anywhere is the best part of TRX (the park, in your home, on vacation, etc). You can properly learn to use it by taking a class, using our training DVDs, videos, and TRX TV. Best of all, it's way cheaper than a gym membership. Hopefully you get a chance to try one day.

    Best regards,

    Team TRX

  • @FitnessAnywhere carefactor = 0, sellout without a soul ;)

  • I owned a TRX for about a year and attended a Personal Trainers Educational session. TWO THINGS: 1. OVERPRICED 2. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Here's why: I decided to change my training regiment, so I tried to sell my used TRX system on eBay only to be accused of trying to sell a TRX fake. I contacted Fitness Anywhere and showed proof of my purchase after numerous unanswered emails and phone calls. About a month after finally selling my TRX, Fitness Anywhere called me and argued w me about the issue.

  • @koakeo Hi there, Can you share who you spoke with about this, please? We are always extra cautious that our users are receiving authentic gear as many fakes are floating around that are subpar and less reliable structurely. We do specify that we have authorized distributors so your selling it independently may have raised a few heads. Best regards, Team TRX

  • TRX is very useful, but it's greatly overpriced.

I own the Freestyle Trainer, and it's actually more versatile.

    Also, it's only $50.

    The choice seems obvious.

    *shrug*

  • I attended a Personal Trainers Educational TRX with session , with Jonathan Ross. TRX is a great work out, I've ordered one, it's a must have for trainers.

  • so basicaly u asking ove 100$ for strap? What i can say is that you can find in any home depot which costs around 10$ for 2 straps of 8ft.

  • Great video, excellent product. As a in home personal trainer and athlete I believe that the TRX can replace any home gym system. The investment is very nominal. I own several TRX's and will continue to purchase any product Fitness Anywhere comes out with! I believe in this company.

  • @JustinFitTV Thanks Justin. We're excited to hear you're using TRX and look forward to bringing you more great workout content here on YouTube, Facebook (TRX Suspension Training) and Twitter (@trx_fitness). Cheers!

  • If you can't afford it then don't buy it! Great product and worth every cent!

  • Just built mine from lashing straps and PVC for $25.00. EVERY BIT as good as the TRX's i tried in my gym.

  • hey youtube ! :D I'm starting a new fitness video blog WITH the before and after and if anyone wants to check it out type up "workout with judah blog 5" by JFREEDOML. Thanks :D

  • i agree it may be a little expensive for how simple it is, but honestly what workout gear isn't. home depot sells sheets of metal and piping too, probably alot cheaper than all the stuff from an equipment distributor, why don't ya'll go and build your own squat racks and benches too?

  • @beswack hm i was there done that and gues what genius you can design it your self and make it to your needs. Does not take a rocket scientist.

  • you know i agree with many of the comments here, suspension training is great, i made mine from high quality straps and buckles from a mountain climbing store, its not as pretty as the TRX but it works, i really want a TRX but you guys have it priced for people who are making plenty of money to spend and like to show off that fact. I believe in paying for quality things, because you can only be as good as your equipment. But i spent 35$ vs the $150 you want me to spend, we live in broke times

  • @m420james Hi there, we understand your concerns with budgeting in the right areas of your life. Since most of our users spend so much on gym memberships, classes and equipment, we find TRX to be the ideal gear to replace all of that and save so much more on something you can use anywhere.

We'll be hosting a great Facebook contest after Thanksgiving through Christmas that gives our fans opportunities to win free TRX's and more. Please stop by our fan page and take a chance. You never know.

  • @m420james thats why you get a friend or in my case a sibling who is certified in training someone on one of these and then they get a free one to "practice" on aka free training for me :)

  • @m420james I agree with you. The TRX Suspension Training piece is expensive and it is seriously over priced. I just made my own two weeks ago for about $40 and decided to look up videos about the the real TRX and it is good to see that I am not the only one who decided to make there own. That is the nature of capitalism. Come up with a good idea and see how much profit can be made regardless of whether or not you are selling the product at a fair price.

  • y is it so expensive..maybe if it was cheaper more people would buy it instead of making their own

  • Great idea and nice piece of kit for bodyweight training anywhere. I have used a friends TRX and loved its effects and ease of use.........but, at over $150 dollars in the UK, it's to expensive for me.

So I made my own straps from a cam buckle tie down set. (approx $12) for now........Will buy a TRX set (for DVDs and xtras + it looks good) when price comes down over here .

  • @pantacc Hi there, Thank you for sharing feedback. We listen to what you're saying. We agree, the DVDs and education booklet are a necessary part of the TRX gear so we sell them in one bundle. The TRX itself is made with the best quality for safety and usage. We look forward to hearing how your working out to stay healthy and fit.

    Best regards

  • @pantacc you can still make the extras cheaper and find tons of workouts all over the internet.

  • @davidpenwell1987 Hi David, We've had TRX fans who unknowingly bought fake gear at cheaper costs and they were not happy with how it kept breaking and/or falling apart. We're excited to see the Movement is spreading around the world. Hopefully we'll see some from you soon? Cheers!

  • @FitnessAnywhere i really like the concept of the straps and what they can do for people with limited space, time and money. but for people who do have those things this would be a good piece of equipment to add on to their current home gym set up. its a great tool for sure but like i said, i just dont like to work in one area for all my exercises. so thats where it would benefit me as just an add on piece of equipment to my current home set up

  • @davidpenwell1987 Yes, it's gear that travels anywhere. Great to have a home gym, even better when you can through TRX gear into it's pouch and do all same exercises and more while on vacation, a hike, etc. Gotta switch it up so you don't get bored. Best regards.

  • the gym i go to does not have these bands. is it practical to buy them and bring them with me, or is it just enough to get them and workout at home

  • @dimaman15 Hi there, the TRX Suspension Straps are completely worth buying. You can take them to the gym, workout at home, take on vacations, etc. Personally, I like going down to the local park and being outside. That's the beauty of the gear. Take them where ever you feel like working out. No limits on locations or workout options. Cheers!

  • where can i get TRX ??

  • pilates, weight training done that! this is the ultimate whole body challenge

  • just tried a TRX class at my gym yesterday, I LOVED it! every muscle in my body hurts right now, but that's good :)

  • @mamemimoma That means you rocked it. Next class gets better but that means it's time to steepen that angle. It never stops!

  • @FitnessAnywhere

Tried today in my fitness center. I'm an adult figure skater and that's just THE ultimate training tool for me ! I LOVE IT \o/ !

  • pure genius..it basically easy to make but who want to create that??..Your really paying for the dvds which are essential..great product..great scheme but very a legit piece of equipment for people with a NON-PLATEAU workout plan..Im looking to invest into this product in the near future..

  • I have my one made a cost of 25 us dollars (it doesn't worth more) and i also upgraded it so more exercise can be done with it. But if want to correspond to the trends by real one. ;)

  • $10 for some lashing straps and pvc pipe and I'm GOOD

  • @PWDooood I agree. I just made one based on a Youtube walk-through, though it cost $36 (AUD) for the parts, not $10.

  • i have to imagine that making your own would be much cheaper and just as effective. after all thats apparently what the guy who developed this did

  • It works, good in a pinch and cheap. I made my own however, and it works well. My trainer says it is just as good. Tie-downs, climber's rope and a few pieces of hardware. Not as pretty, not as small and It took 3 hours of work to make it. So most people should just go out and buy it, but if you have more time than money...

  • Anyone who doesn't have great results with TRX doesn't know how to actually use it. It's incredible and the best workout I have. You can work nearly everything and I am very happy I found it.

  • Trx is the greatest piece of equipment out there! Ima try to save up money to get me one :D

  • Randy you seem cool dude. But you are a carbon copy of Tony Horton. You both look and sound the same. WTF?

  • the funny thing is this actually works but no one ever uses these things xD

nope give me my iron and old equipment thank you very much xD

  • SD!

  • yeah thanks for deleting my comment for saying the truth i regret paying over $100 for this rope

  • @Rooyalte why?

  • @irvykinneas i bought it couple of months ago and i used as instructed on the videos at the door, the next day the rope got cut off while i was doing the back exercise on wooden floor and i hurt my back and head.

  • @Rooyalte really? why?

  • @ReconeyezaG after i used it for the third day as instructed on the videos at the door, the next day the rope got ripped while i was doing the back exercise on wooden floor and i hurt my back and head.

and i got no refund nether a new one as a replacement..i think some of these products are not original so be careful

  • @Rooyalte LOL "rope"

  • why do u delete our comments? i can show u in a video how this expensive rope got ripped after using it for 3 days only

is that how u deal with customers?

  • yea right anywhere my a**..no it's not super portable, i bought it 3 days ago for $100 and it got ripped off the door while working out n thank god i didn't fall on my head..cheap fake product.

    Don't believe these fake ads.

  • Reminds me of Bodylastics by Terrell Owens.

  • heres the fact of the matter!

do they work? yes, if you work that is!

you could have the best routine and equipment and get nothing out of it, or you can have nothing but your own body and still get in shape by doing calisthenics and plyometric workouts and work damn hard at it. its all upto you to bust ass no matter what you use or how you train

  • Was thinking about getting a pair of these. But for 200$.. that's alot of dope! And most of these exercises I can do with my old and trusty Rings... As a matter of fact, i can do pretty much all of this with normal rings... hmm..

  • @Kayzaks dont buy this shit... its a waste. or if you really want to just go buy some five dollar nylon rope, its virtually identical.

  • I was just introduced to TRX a few weeks ago by a trainer at my gym. This thing rocks, it's the real deal!

  • That is really darn slick!

It is like have the ability

to do most of the Total Gym

    exercises without needing

    the machine.

    Namaste'

    Scot

  • keep up the good work keeping america heathy

  • excellent product i use it off my pull up bar, tip make sure you buy the one with the door anchor i know its a bit extra but you can use it indoors.

its a new product not many people know about TRX at the gym thats why no one use the product.

i found out about TRX by a friend of mine i asked her how you get abs like that she said TRX and its fun too.

i google TRX got one about 1 month ago and never looked back.

    awesome product get one.

  • This thing is pretty cool but its not worth 200 bucks. Maybe 50. Its basically a resistance band without the resistance.

  • What does the letters TRX stand for?

  • WHERE I CAN FIND THEM?

  • Question: How many pounds do I have to be for me to be able to use it? How much can it hold?

  • Thanks for the TRX suspension system. I use it my room in the shacks and take it with me wherever I go.

    NCM with the Canadian Forces.

  • I see value in this, especially to break up the dull heavy weight sessions. Do too many days/sets of heavy weights, you get complacent. I like breaking things up with bodyweight exercises and change things up for the body. This looks cook.

Plus MMA core body training is superior to any steroid induced heavy weight training.

  • Get the bodylastics bands. Endorsed by muscle and fitness, great quality, and if you use the "heaviest" bands you end up with what they're selling. I'm not selling them or trying to trick you, I just bought them. Check my channel, no affiliation.

  • @trekgeek1 you mean the TO bands? Yeah they can hold a max res of a total of like 256lbs then what? Also they ONLY ship with half the weight it can possibly hold for all that money.

  • @BeatenWoodStudios

256 is fine for most people, especially if you are inclined as in the video. The heaviest you will ever be is fully suspended, and most exercises don't do that. So you are fine is you weigh less than 256. Then what? Do you mean when you get stronger? You still max out at the maximum possible weight of the trx system (bodyweight). Once you can pull your body weight, you must anchor yourself so you probably need to go the a gym with special equipment. I spent 100 for TO bands.

  • @trekgeek1 have you ever heard of a plateau even if you don't weigh that much eventually that weight will become easy and totally useless, but with the TRX you can increase your angle and add weight to your body such as putting a 50lb sandbag into a backpack and wearing it when you do exercises.

  • @BeatenWoodStudios

You can't increase your angle beyond bodyweight. Yeah, you could add a backpack, but most people won't. With bands, you can exercise without having to mount them, you just stand on them. You can do many exercises with only a low connection. I've done a chest workout off the rim of my car. If you double the bands (loop them over something) a 30lb band becomes 120lbs because of the spring constant. You can break plateaus with rest/pause, drop set, forced reps, supersets, etc.

  • @trekgeek1 you WILL still plateau eventually as it is a set amount of max weight. Anyways just sticking to lifting iron or heavy objects is still the best way to train.

  • @BeatenWoodStudios

A plateau can be beat by training methods, not just weight. You just have to challenge your muscles by speed or insane repetition and combos. Anyway, like you said, iron is probably the best. TRX, bands, what's the difference? Either way, we're gonna get so ripped!! :) Happy training. Also, if you like working out. go to muscle and fitness.com and watch the "raw" series by Jim Stoppani. He's an acutal PhD and he's huge, so you know he's got good advice. Enjoy

  • @BeatenWoodStudios Thank you for sharing on the weight. I should have scrolled downward before I posted my question above.

  • Looks interesting, probably requires high reps and high intensity (no breaks). But the price is outrageous...I can go to Walmart and buy nylon straps and jerry-rig the same thing for what, maybe $15? $25?

    LOL the power of marketing...

  • So why are you charging us so much when it probably costs you people 3 bucks to make this

  • just find some tough ropes and good tree instead of this shit

  • bullshit

  • I like TRX and it can be very helpful but for someone that is not in the field a class would be helpful to learn how to use one. Looking at the TRX I get excited about the possibilities for my clients workouts.

  • Can someone please explain to me why a pair of nylon cords cost well over $175 .. I can use my rubber power bands and do the same thing.. complete rip off.. i guess thats the way to wealth in america .. invent a $10 gadet and sell it to the masses for $175.00 ..lol

  • I can add this tool to my garden plot... After working in the yard I can jump on the TRX! However, $189.95's a little out of range - @ the moment!

  • That was an awesome "mountain climber" routine @ 1:34. I may have gotten the name wrong but that routine looks tremendously effective and modifiable to boot.

  • they have about 10 of these at my gym and no one uses them even at peak hour when tons of people are there

  • @Darkstar2520 try to bring some TRX trainers and show case how to use TRX to train. Or try to get the trainers in your gym to become TRX trainer through attending our full day courses, networking with other trainers. You will find the potential of having TRX is great. Let us know how it goes.

  • @FitnessAnywhere these are garbage, trx is a joke.

  • @FitnessAnywhere this isn't an "essential training tool" for people who have access to a gym full of resistance machine and/or free weights. don't be naive, this is for the home trainer who is either too embarrassed to enter the gym or is in the beginning stages of resistance training. this is good...everyone has to start somewhere, but "keep you progressing"? not true. you will limit out very quickly with this type of hardware. with dedicated training it will prove itself useless very soon

  • @mcnegro Yeah, right...

and there is only so much you can do with eggs for breakfast, or lunch, or dinner...

Over easy, scrambled, with cheese, with peppers, with cheese and peppers, w/sausage, p c s, w/bread as in French Toast, omelettes, w/all sorts of ingredients scrambled baked-quiche, w/bananas/flour-Pancakes, w/protein mix - shake, the LIMIT is the # of characters per post OR YOUR Imagination and lack of YouTube TRX Training Research and more...

    Eggs are Limited and "USELESS"...

  • @AvidCyclist ya mad bro?

  • @Darkstar2520 ummm this is pretty much all Brandon Vera uses to work out a ufc fighter man and hes crazy lol word

  • @burner907 It's called a publicity stunt? No UFC fighter in his right mind would depend soley on the TRX or even bother training with them. "Functional strength" can only get you so far such as lifting yourself up rough terrain or carrying heavy stuff, but is practically useless in a fight. No, those mofos take steroids and lift weights. Period.

  • @Darkstar2520 why they don't use them?

  • @Darkstar2520 That's because most main stream gyms are full of tossers who just want to pose and lift big weights (usually poorly). How can you show off your guns to the girls on the treadmills when you're doing functional bodyweight training?? You can't, hence they stick to the bicep curls and bench press.

  • @Gronked How about doing planche pushups? 90 degree push ups? front lever pull ups? muscle ups? Flags? As far as I know, none of my gym buddies can do those moves with the exception of a couple muscle ups at most and maybe a 5 second flag hold. And yet the exercises used to reach them are purely functional/body weight. The only three pieces if equipment you need to get the ultimate "functional strength" are rings (which is what this product is a rip off of), parallel bars, and an overhead bar.

  • @TheConstructiveTroll I'm hear ya. But what about lower body? I've toyed with the idea of switching to body weight only training, however I'm not sure how to build strength on the lower body. How do you supplement things like deadlifts or cleans etc?

  • @Darkstar2520

can you get 1 from your gym when no one is looking and send it to me and i will pay you 100 dollers

  • @Darkstar2520 me too man, please

  • Was the Usher "Make Love in this Club" on loop?

  • just got one on order... I am so freaking excited to get started with it for myself and clients

  • @Entropy137: As far as the LBs doing a power clean vs TRX, I had my LBs and defensive backs do TRX decline push ups (feet higher on a step box and hands in the TRX), they were spent after 3 sets of 15. This is an advanced move that NFL elite athletes had a hard time completing but all of them can power clean heavy all day. It's just simple physics for them, power cleaning 180-220 lbs vs. pushing their own body weight (235-275 lbs) bec. 3/4 of a power clean is momentum, it's actually easier.

  • Besides, if this was not a great workout, it wouldn't be as big as it is today..this thing blew up 4 years ago and it's getting bigger. People nowadays are much smarter and more aware of scams, and if this were misleading them in any way, then this wouldn't be as as popular and wouldv'e fizzed out before it even got started. Life-long gym rats like myself like it too.

  • @Entropy137: Bro, I know what you mean. I incorporate weights as well in TRX routines I do for myself. But there's a HUGE difference bet. strength and stability. Your muscles have to have the proper proprioceptive input to keep the joints stable under duress. That's why there's "functional" training for sports and not just weight lifting. The TRX is only one of many but a tried and true method of getting functional stability as well as strength for sports.

  • I have seen it many times, a guys bench presses 250 lbs..but can't do 10 properly formed atomic push ups, why? because of compromised stability of the core and hip complex. The game is all about stability under duress, can you cut?, can you jump, shift directions then land w/o blowing your knee apart? That's what the TRX does for you..I'm not a TRX marketing guy, nor a payed lacky. I just know that it works for the high school and pro athletes I work with so I keep using it.

  • @peteandcathy If one linebacker did TRX and another did power cleans, the one who does power cleans would KILL the TRX guy. Same for wrestlers.

  • TRX is the most functional training tool I've ever used in my 21 yrs of being a Physical Therapist, Sports Conditioning Specialist and Certified Senior Strength Trainer. Lifting weights is definitely not a bad thing, but you are severely compromising the functional aspect of sports or just even daily activities if you don't functionally train muscles. Proprioception through functional training NOT just brute strength is key to preventing injury.

  • @peteandcathy Let me guess, you do partial squats instead of full squats rights?

  • Fitness is my life. And I'm always up for a challenge. I get bored with weights @ the gym and I also get very bored. This seems interesting, challenging and surely will get my arms cut which is what I want. I just suscribed to your channel, I am hoping I can buy it from your site. Do you suggest to do this @ the comfort of your own home?

  • @MaryBubbles73 If you're bored with weights you ought to try a crossfit exercise called linda.

  • If it's true that the US military is doing these pansy exercises, then I guess the terrorists win.

  • @Entropy137 I am guessing you are one of those ignoramus that hang around the weights room posing and doing nothing much. The TRX is a great system, and you should stop scoffing at what you do not know, and probably haven't even tried it yourself.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne Are you one of those pole smokers who goes to the gym to watch the posers?

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne I don't pose. I lift. I don't need to try it to see that an inclined push up at 45 degrees requires about half as much force to push than a regular push up. The same goes for the inclined rows. This can be a useful workout. But only if you're a BEGINNER. These marketing guys wanna show it being used by elite military and mma fighters which is bullshit. A set of burpees is way more intense than anything that can come out of this.

  • @Entropy137 No. I am sure you don't pose. I admit it is a fashion at the moment. At least we agree that it is good for beginners. Naturally for elite athletes the traditional methods are probably the best. Most of us are just ordinary guys, not Usain Bolts.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne I'm glad you agree it's for beginners. I'm just mad that it's advertised as being used by elite athletes and military personnel. Hence the insults. The reason it's selling at $150 instead of $30 is because of this misrepresentation. I hate it when people try to scam others.

  • @Entropy137 If you were in the military you'd probably know that, me personally, being deployed constantly to many different locations around the world. My platoon and several other platoons at my team carry these with them and use them regularly when we aren't able to go to a gym. We aren't beginners, we've been through more than you probably ever will be and both myself and my teammates agree that it is an effective tool and will make you stronger and better. Try it out for yourself.
