  • I don't self harm for attention I am very depressed and I hav been for a while. Long story but the news makes me feel like now if I tell any1 they will b like o u just want attention which is not at all why I self harm. Some1 needs to set those news people straight.

  • @JustCallMeLis7 Yea. It was truly wrong of them.

  • You are very beautiful.

  • fox news is a piece of shitxD

you cant believe anything from themxD

  • @xXAlienangelXx All the news stations fabricate and exaggerate. It's pretty sad.

  • do they just want us to keep feeling alone i wonder if they have any idea how much damage there gonna do saying these lies how will pepole tell there fams if they get caught now almost everyones fam will think were doing it for attetion and hit and yell... im in hillbilly hell if my parents belive this crap im sure almost everyone elses dose .

  • @waterfall815 It certainly does discourage people from getting help or telling someone.

  • Ugh, I hate it when the news warps stuff out of proportion like that... (-,-) If they would just do a little more research, they'd know that not everyone who performs self-injury is the kind of person who would post it up on youtube. Of course, I wouldn't put it past them (especially FOX) to spin it around even if they DID do adequate research. Whatever rakes in more ratings for those sick fucks...

  • @TehKaptain Yea. They love to sensationalize things and do what it takes to get views on news shows. I bet they have psychologists working for them who help them put the news together in ways that are most likely to get across certain points or views.

  • @CrystalRainDrop789 I'm pretty sure they actually do employ psychologists like that. Everyone does; advertising (which is all the news really is nowadays), politicians... everyone. Call me paranoid...

  • I don't think people ever do it to be cool, if their cutting a whole lot. I mean, what's so cool about permanent scars.

  • @composer63 Exactly. Those people who do it just to be cool don't realize that those scars will be there forever. And they won't even have meaning to them. To me they represent my inner pain. For them it's just stupidity.

  • @CrystalRainDrop789 U mind if I posted a response video? I have good deal to say about this.

  • @composer63 Sure. Feel free. :D

  • I've been a subscriber of idranktheseawater for quite a while now which brought me here to you. I just subscribed to your channel, and am looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you! ♥

p.s. March 1 is S.I. Awareness Day for those who don't already know.

  • @DGF666KTG Thank you for subscribing :D I'm making a video for SIAD and I hope it turns out ok.

  • @CrystalRainDrop789: Cool, can't wait to watch it! I'm sure it'll turn out just fine. ♥

  • You're spot on with this; excellent points indeed. I'll be emailing them too, tomorrow. I'm 34; do you think I self injure as a trend?? How about Princess Diana? Was she being trendy? It's a coping mechanism, however unhealthy & dangerous. The sensationalism on the news was worse than any pro-S.I. vids on youtube; another reason to not watch Fox News or any other news station. To those who do, you're being hopelessly mislead on a lot. Thank you for helping to put things in perspective!

  • @DGF666KTG I'm glad you're emailing. Thank you! It's sad how misleading the news has become.

  • I agree with you completely, as i said before cutting is not a trend, its serious and it seriously hurts people to the point where they go to the er and need stitches. I wish that video didnt broadcast.

  • @TinkerBelle246 Exactly! Thank you.

  • I saw that.

I thought the same thing. I don't do it but I know about it. "It's a growing trend in our area."

    Really? What is their problem?

  • @CBPCorps I'm glad you realized how horribly done that story was :)

  • I think this has gone on for quite awhile and that maybe thier was such a stigma about it. Now people realize that deppression can just get so unbearable.

  • @Filmaker25 Hopefully people will start to understand self injury better, too.

  • So great that you made this video!! You are so right!

  • @MeAndMyBlackTable Thank you so much :D

  • and for that.. I suscribe. so true.

  • @Bazingannie Thank you :)

  • I hated that video it made me relapse after 7 months. now I have stches in my leg and it really hurts to walk. I as a self injurer have kept this secret untill last night when I told my bf then made a vid in his room which I somehow forgot to post untill about 15 mins ago.

  • @HappyIsFleeting That makes me so mad at those stupid TV stations! I wrote them emails already and I definitely think you should, too. The more people that complain hopefully they'll get the hint.

  • I am angry at the way fox news have portrayed si now. I feel the video should have been made differently, I agree with what you said here.

  • @XxprincessLuisaxX I know! It was the same with ABC and some other channels as well.

  • If I knew you in person, I could fix you.

  • @KnivesMonroe Thank you.

  • I can tell you are a psychology student, you used the psychology concept of priming.

  • @ChannelingusIV I am :)

  • I agree, there's a lot to be upset about.

You saw a version where they actually said that I dont post triggering pics? I didnt like that they didnt say that in the one that is linked to my vid. That is the only version I saw.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts

  • @idranktheseawater There was one where they only mentioned in the article below the video. The one you posted on ST they made it look like the pictures were of you. I can't believe they did that!
