Great but I think the bass & drums didn't keep up a very tight rythmn for the kids to groove to. Why not teach some of the kids to play bass and drums?
These kids are lucky....they didn't have a music teacher pushing classical crap down your throat. Playing music like this at such a young age makes it fun and they'll probably stick to playing the keyboards when they get older.
I am a fan of "Green Onions" and I think the kids did a GREAT JOB! It's like they channeled the original band. Great job guys!
I know the drums sounded loud, but I could tell he wasn't beating them hard, it must've just been where the recording equipment was set up. No biggie. Great job EVERYONE!
some of the solos were pretty good. The sound would have been better with only the bass guitar part going during those leads without the rhythm organ playing.
Yeah - I think that's a valid criticism of the arrangement. But, hey - it's from a kid's piano recital (I'm the teacher and bass player) and also like you said, there are some good solos! Thanx for checking it out.
You should get the kids a Kalamazoo organ! Props if you've heard of one!

that was so great to see and hear, I applaud all that were involved for chosing such a landmark tune. Dont let "rap" ever get in your way.

I really feel it's fantastic these young one's jamming classic blues.
Getting to them before the punk influence turns their taste to waiste.
I graduated high school in 1977, yet I do not appreciate punk.
I find rap more innovative then punk to be honest.
Mu Spirit is that of a Bluesman----I can feeel the Blues!

you have to have an open mind when it comes to music, just because you dont like punk dosen't make it a bad influence

The drummer was hitting too many cymbals and washed out the sound :(
