  • brilliant video some very interesting points

  • @sprattysy Thank you very much.

  • This is what I really hate about foxes; playing with their food. At least the Grey Heron didn't play with the rat or the duckling. :(

  • @KooldaKat When I was a child my grandparents had a farm and I loved visiting them during the holidays. I enjoyed playing with the rabbits, the lamps and the chickens and still they were my food at the end of the day. :)

  • @antaress8128 You're very lucky to have had the chance to visit a farm as a child. :) But when you played with the animals I'm sure you didn't throw them in the air and cripple them. By the way, I didn't know 'lamps' were edible! ;)

  • @KooldaKat I meant "lambs". :D

  • @antaress8128 I know, ha ha! I was joking! :D

  • Not really much "versus" going on there though.

  • Not really much "versus" going on there though.

  • I'm amazed that it let you film it so close. Is it because of the differences of environment between urban and countryside foxes?

  • @shl00909 It is a city Fox and i was filming at a distance that it was not bothered with and it did not know i was there.

  • How cute :) accept thet it was killing a rat...

  • the fox is that one person who says 'screw labels, I'm not a dog or a cat, I'm gonna go off and be something else entirely'

  • Impressive!, congratulation for the film, is amazing.

  • i guess they ingest worms etc from eating rats... nice video

  • I'm afraid I got bored before the fox did. I don't know if the rat found it very fascinating either.

  • Was the rat playing possum? During the time the fox played w/ him, he made some token attempts to sneak away, suggesting he wasn't altogether traumatized. Maybe rats learn from opposums by imitation. They're probably smart enough to.

  • be funny if suddenly some people with lurchers turned up and smashed the fox lol

  • @badboibrummy NO IT WOULDNT

  • @123aymami yh it would be really funny lol

  • 0:40 Weeeeeee.........

  • cute fox. he likes to play with his food :D

  • this fox is athletic

  • was this filmed indoor? the scenery look still but nice capture

  • @Gypse404 ... its 100% wild.

  • @wildirishswan oh wow sry for not knowing better! it's beautiful capture!

  • @zzgoofygooberzz, Lmao!

  • I think that rat was sick.

  • i was walking my dog in a medow one day then he started to press his chest against the ground and growled (hes a jack russell hunting dog) i looked at were he was pointing and saw a fox in broud daylight i was watching it like aww :D then it jumped and after a few minuted came back up with a rabbit (it jumped into a ditch thing near water) it then went back into a hole it was also the right time for cubs it was well cute :D

  • 2:48 awesome ?

  • FANTASTIC CLIP ;)

  • this clip reminds me of my kids at the dinner table.. they will play with their food for ages until i promptly tell them no pudding or sweets if they dont eat up. do foxes tend to be this timid and playful with food before eating? genuinly interested to know. thanks for posting. watched most of your clips and enjoyed the photography. nathan in dorset

  • That fox is having way too much fun with it's food.

  • the fox is like "YOUR NEXT BITCH........

  • Rat torture.

  • Yes... That video is nice really. The only fox l hate is that one which symbolize a football club in Brazil called Cruzeiro Lol

  • As we can see here, even animals are subject to mental illnesses, this fox is playing with the rat but it doesn't know it is causing harm, in general this is not how most foxes behave, at least not that I have witnessed over the years and through countless other videos, so I say something is off a bit with this fox, still, a very well done video.

  • @nitruswolf though granted the foxes I've seen weren't Irish, things could be different then here in the USA, I still find it a bit odd..

  • natures T-bag.

  • o-o

  • didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food? XD

  • I like the style you have on youtube, uploading nature on your channel, keep it up and show everyone what were missing and also show how its like to see nature from your prespestive.

  • talk about adaptability! [urban setting] I remember seeing a fox trotting down the edge of a field in Co. Kilkenny and how nifty it was to see one in the wild, it had this knowing look on its face, looking over its shoulder-really memorable-this is a great video btw slan, Jim

  • That fox got 6 months in St. Pats for this.

  • great video.

It is however, a fox, acting like a... fox.. ive seen dogs do the same - the fox is well fed and not so hungry and is just entertaining himself

  • and kids what did you learn from this?

    Never play with you're food!

  • Great video. I never knew that foxes play with their prey as cats do.

  • Did this fox's mother not teach him to not play with his food :-)

    Great footage!!!!

  • Amazing video. I could not help feeling sorry for the rat.

  • OMG ! Is that a n artillery shell in the foreground ?

  • Foxes are evil poor rat.

  • oscar performance by a fox

  • i thought they have 9 tails

  • Thats really well videoed, and also a very beautiful fox as well. Thanks for making the video

  • fantastic video

  • When will this show debut on animal planet? Just joking lol, but I'd def watch this on t.v. Everybody loves nature!

  • cool stuff

  • IS THE RAT DEAD?????????????????

  • @NAFF

As usual your intellect has let you down. I have commented on your foolish drivel before but you have exceeded all expectations with this your latest piece of retarded rhetoric. The reason people consider you to be a troll sweetheart is because your comments are so crass; so utterly banal that they think you're trying to be inflammatory. Most don't realise that you're actually very very stupid. I would surmise that the rat was dead by the time the fox was chewing on its head wouldn't you?

  • sir you are by far the most impressive camera expert ive seen in a long time, ok i dont like to see death of any sort but this clip was realy beautiful and fascinating ..

The fox is such a beatuful creature ...thank you so much ..

  • @oakeysboy1 .................. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, it really is sad to see the death of any living creature.

I hope my videos create new insights into the world around us.

  • You deserve awards for the high quality, the beauty of your videos

  • But, you won't see this on Animal Planet's channel! Reality TV for real!

  • 5:02 :)

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all, for all the positive feedback.

  • Everyone likes to play with their food. No exception. ;3

Amazing shot as always. A most excelent video, Paul. =)

  • Nice video! Great throw & catch for the fox. Poor rat, thats nature.

  • hey fox, this is what cats are doing - not hungry, you playful little guy?

hehe, i don't know that foxes are acting like this before ^^

  • is the mouse playing dead?

  • @greedlusthate It’s a rat, not a mouse. It looked like it’s insides were mangled more then it trying to play dead. I think it died about half way through the video... or that’s what it seemed like to me.

  • You had a great chance that the fox is so long with his booty in front of the camera, Paul. Congratulations. Excellente pictures.

  • very nice well done

  • This is an extraordinary video again, I have the impression that each video you post is a unique piece of visual art. I feel privileged watching these spectacular videos which are a special tribute to wildlife. Thank you very much !

  • @watchingandthinking ............. and thank you.

  • hate to see the bank of that river littered...

  • i wonder if it is trying to get the rat to run away; or is it trying to make sure it is dead or close to dead, so it won't get bitten?

  • Two words to describe this video: art masterpiece.

    Astonishing beautiful, a treasure.

  • @patroller4u ..............THE HIGHEST OF COMPLIMENTS, thank you very much.

  • hey thanks for showing me this

    love your vids

  • *ten* Thank you for sharing.

  • @dgmoocher ............... THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
