I'm a girl and I hate the entire series. The plot has been played 100 times. The vampires-loves-human thing isn't orginial. It makes vampires weak, 'vegetarian' idiots that have a bullshit background. It makes girls like they are dependant on heros, MALE heros, and that they can't be independant at all. It also objectifs men :P
I'm a Buffy fan. The vampires and demons actually prepared to torture and kill. Twilight shouldn't be given the genre 'vampire fiction.'
The truth is that I personaly hate twilight - or am at least sick of it's poor plot and annoying mistakes. But it upsets me - the fact that you destroyed it. If someone thinks something I like is a disgrace to literature, I either accept it, or I use logical reasons to defend why it is not so. In the video, he gave his own reasons; 1) No discernible plot, 2) Irritating, two-dimensional characters, and 3) the book is considered a stain on the horror genre (Stephen King himself has critiqued it for such reasons).

Actually darling I am not about to like be mean or anything becasue I am not like mean or anything but you do not deserve the name Edward and you only don't like it because Edward has the same name as you but he is better than you and you are jealous of his awesomness. It is a damn fiction book does it really matter if the sparkle rather than burn and guess what no one is gonna go 'ooh his name is Edward' to you they are more likly to throw up and say you are a disgrace too the name.

I wasn't trying to be mature. And I didn't mean to remove the comment I hit the trash button and was like 'Dammit, Oh well.' But I do think other people can have opinions but they really do not need to go spreading it over the internet like if you found a video of somone saying some of the things that he said about your favourite book like it was a disgrace to books or whatever I am pretty sure you would find it offensive and he wasn't even giving reasons why he didn't like --

@fungirl012 Hun, people spread their opinions all over Youtube. They do it in all parts of society. If someone thinks something I like is a disgrace to literature, I either accept it, or I use logical reasons to defend why it is not so. In the video, he gave his own reasons; 1) No discernible plot, 2) Irritating, two-dimensional characters, and 3) the book is considered a stain on the horror genre (Stephen King himself has critiqued it for such reasons).

@fungirl012 Saying "I hate_____" is offensive? Huh. I just thought it was stating your opinion. He said the characters are two-dimensional, and irriating. That's his opinion and, not to be rude, but expecting not to offend someone is a little naive.
For instance, I don't agree with the usual Twilight statements such as, "OMG Twilight is da bestest series EVAH!" I'm a little offended because there is a lot better lit out there, but I can say, "I disagree, but it's your right to an opinion."

@fungirl012 (CONT'D)...hat falls in love with a sparkly vampire. Some people think it's good; some think it's bad. The same way some people don't like guacamole. I can say "Guacamole is disgusting" and it's an opinion. I don't mean to say no one else should like it.
To be honest, it's a little disturbing that you're so against someone speaking their mind. Or, in this case, making fun of something. In life, you'll eventually have to accept other people's opinions/humor.

But the point you made about guacamole I wouldn't mind if someone said they hated my favourite food because it isn't somthing that you really love like a favourite book or movie or a song.

@fungirl012 Well, hun, I can understand that you're taking this to the heart, but it doesn't have to be food. It can be a song/genre of song. For instance, "I hate rap. Too many silver chains." Or "You know, I can't stand Gossip Girl books." None of this is true of myself; I actually don't mind either. But you have to accept that a different perception of things can make different opinions. It's nothing personal, it's just...a different opinion on things.

I don't know if someone's mentioned this but Twilight was published in 205... The only reason it's so popular now I assume is because Harry Potter ended, and the shallow nature of Twilight intrigued a lot of reluctant tween and teen girls who have never read a single novel.

Hey, don't be hard on yourself. "I'm not exactly tall and handsome." Well, I can't say anything about tall, because I can't really tell, but you are rather good-looking. (But then again, I have an odd taste in guys...) But, I've actually destroyed the book myself. I even trained my dog to tear it apart. (I love that dog...) This was fun to watch. I bet you let out a lot of frustration doing this. Destroying the book really helped me.

to be honest, I think this video is very sad. no-one cares if you hate twilight. I hate a lot of things that are extremely overrated, but I don't go around wasting my money to whine about it to people I don't even know. I also don't pretend talk to inanimate objects.
