  • WHY THE FUCK HAVE I NOT HEARD THIS SONG YET, I FEEL ASHAMED TO BE A HARDCORE GORILLAZ FAN AND HAVE NOT HEARD THIS SONG TILL NOW!

  • 3 people have no soul

  • most beautyful song ever.

  • Penis

  • I have read and I believe that this song was made mainly about stopping the dams in iceland.

It's kind of a mental turn off since the song is beautiful and the lyrics are amazing, it makes you think anything other than preventing dams in Iceland, but that's just how epic the Gorillaz are with their music.

  • Love this song!!!Nd itz views are over 9000!!!

  • @MrBlackletter It's actually about dams in Iceland. Hence the name, Stop the Dams

  • Has any one thought the song might have multiple meanings? Doesnt every song? Isnt their certain song that remind YOU and JUST you of something personal? And that becomes the meaning to YOU!

So quit labeling the song so much. That may be why it was written but it isnt the only meaning.

  • Good Song to SMOKK ! =D

  • Is this the official video?

  • It really is about the dams in Iceland. Hell, the trumpet and violin is by an orchestra from Reykyavik. If you actually buy the CD like an honest person, the inlay is full of references to the subject. Don't be dumb.

  • To Stop the dams in Iceland, that is why the song was written.

  • Badass =]

  • this song is about noodle is killed i think

  • @fajardito1002 no it isnt its about stop building dams in iceland but nice song and very catchy

  • fantastic is all i can say tbh

  • a1/

  • "Stop the dams" is stopping all the dams in a drug addiction, to live for the next day and be able to keep a life to fulfill. It's is really important because every decision you make continues to an outcome, actions with drugs abuse leads only to death, behind bars, understanding the way around drugs is the key to happiness. "we wake up until were were aluminum."You only free base hard drugs with foil only idiots use it for a weed pipe. You can look at it how you want.

  • @Alexandermoriarity13

actually, theyre just protesting the dams being built in iceland. nice try though.

  • @SIRAWESOMECHOCOPANTS your fact is a bad opinion

  • @Alexandermoriarity13

  • "Stop the Dams" is a protest song against the building of dams in certain areas of Iceland which could flood and pollute the wilderness there.

  • I think this song is about a lot of things. Mostly drugs, smoking tin foil in the morning, when I heard that lyric, I was actually a very depressed person, smoking weed out of aluminum foil all the time by myself every morning before going to school. Made me cry to be honest when I heard this song. But since then, this song has a very strong message to me, about overcoming any obstacles, seeing them as unrelated sounds that need to be passed over so you can see the rest of the world, not a dam.

  • minek van kinn az email címe lászló-fiam!?

  • the most beautifulist song ever xxxxxxxxxxxxx :)

  • these lyrics are tattooed on my back hahaha

  • It's just a beutiful song ! :3

  • I love this song so much I learned how to play it from completely on my guitar lol.

  • you know if this really is a song from the gorillaz then murloc would not take part in it for this is to heavenly of music for a satan worshiper like murloc to play...

  • @joegirl404

o lol. you cant be serious, right?

  • umm it is a gorillaz song

  • @joegirl404 this is deffinatly the gorillaz cos if you heard enough of there music then you would be able to just hear a second of this song and know it is cos there is NO ONE with a voice like Damon. and his name is Murdoc. also im sure he would be proud to take part in such an amazing song. Murdoc is so bad but so good at the same time, hes unpredictable. but who knows for sure, maybe damon was on the guitar.

  • this song will clense your soul.

  • unique gorillaz song and great too:D

  • Did you make this music vid?

  • nope i didnt..

  • oh, well iwas going to complement it,

it kind of looks like a compilation of different gorillaz videos and video game footage put in black an white... anyway, so who did?

  • GORILLAZ IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome, absolutely awesome.

  • Do you know what this songs about? I would realy like to know. Some youtubers say its about drugs... i can see where there going, but do you have another idea?

  • hm..well i believe it has to do with the enviroment..im not sure...well maybe war...enviroment and stuff..drugs you know..im not sure again sorry :/ thats the only idea i got.sorry for the long reply...hope i hv been of some help ^^

  • Yea, not sure... one guy said it was a song about Stop makeing the dams in iceland... the speech guy is an icelander... yea... not realy sure, but thats what i thought about. Then its kinda talks about drugs..? well, you where help, thanks :)

  • @AllTehSmallThings it's about the Earth's environment, even Superfast Jellyfish is about it. just pay attention, and when the talking part comes, he says you should'n't interrupt the natural flow of thought with a cling and clang, so we need to unplug the dams.

  • @AllTehSmallThings Its about Iceland trying to build dams to flood a massive area of forest to kill it off. The area has alot of aluminium in it and aluminium smelters are trying to get at it, thus referances to tin foil and the such. Its a reworked version of the song Aluminium Damon and Ghostigital played at the "Stop the Dams" Concert

  • the song is a protest sort of thing to stop people building dams in areas of iceland because it will cause floods and pollution to places.

  • @T2b123 SMOKEN TINFOIL IN THE MOURNING SOUNDS LIKE HEROINE

  • @T2b123 yeah its probably about the enviornment

  • @T2b123 its about stoping making dams

  • @T2b123 it's about stopping the dams being built in iceland.

  • @T2b123 Its called stop the dams becuase its a song about stopping the building of a major hydroelectric dam in Icelan

    d.

  • @T2b123 If you don't already know, then let me be of help. I belive that this song is about trying to stop dams being built in Iceland. But it didn't stop anything ha. Hope i helped.

  • @T2b123 Its about the flooding of Icelandic highlands wilderness to make room for aluminium production, a small portion of the land remains as a nature reserve.

  • @T2b123

There is a reference to drug use in the song, but I feel that its presence is more of a consequential statement than a central theme. I am also not convinced that environmental advocacy was its purpose. I believe that what it really tries to instill in the listener is soulful advice, so in a way it is more of a spiritual advocacy song.

To me this song is about how to overcome the empty heartache that leads so many of us to self-destructive behavior even though we know they do us harm.

  • @T2b123 its about war inside your own mind. conflict about, mainly the environment.

  • @T2b123 im not sure but i think Gorillaz wrote this song about the Dams in Iceland... not sure
