get yourself some top noch security like.. ESET avast internet security. avg internet security norton internet security. i would suggest avast internet security it has a firewall defends against hackers anti virus it doesn't use high disk usage.. its very good. its the best internet security there is although if a army of 50 botnets teamed up.. you would be begging for mercy.
@MrKingjohnrocks i used to have avg but it was only good at telling which sites had viruses on them and it sucked at getting rid of existing viruses and malware
@InfernoCorpHQ avg may not be good. but ESET is and norton is and avast is... get avast internet security. i used to have that. its great but a botnet can easily break through that firewall.
I don't like RUBotted. When I used it I noticed that my forum logs were showing that it was following my every move. That made me feel very uncomfortable so I uninstalled it quick!
Just came across this, I've been using rubotted for a while now before seeing this - however sometimes I'll get bot detections and housecall comes back clean... is this just innocent bot activity? for example irc bots.
wow...i recently got a bot..or something and i tried to follow ur instructions and when i clicked on log and deleted, it said no botts are found, does this mean the malware or something was deleted!.
Parilblade001 - No it means that it was a 'False Positive', which is why when it does show as having found a bot that the log should be deleted and the program re-run :-)
Parilblade001 - It finds a few false positives which is why it is necessary to delete the list and re-run the program. They still have a few things to iron out and I know that I get around 5 FP's each day through normal surfing.
Parilblade001 - It's warming up now, daytime up to 7 - 8C lol, almost tropical :-)
Have travelled most of the UK and lived abroad, but lived in various parts of Devon for the past 30 years. Village life is a bit different to London too :D
i live near the edge of london, in harrow and its pretty good. iv lived in the uk for 9 years, but i was born here originally but lived abroad for the other 8-9 years..im 17 :)
Been to Harrow, few years ago though and around most of London, was stationed near Aldershot when serving as well as a few other places.....Now I'm what you would call a 'silver surfer' with a16 y.o. daughter who lives with ex but keep in close contact.
0xr00t - They all work differently. I have found the easiest way with trend Micro is to disable it, clear the cache and then enable and scan....reduces FP's.
Parilblade001 - This will run alongside any antivirus / antimalware programs.
It does not act as a firewall but will quickly scan for any 'bots' that may have downloaded in the background while surfing.
I don't allow it to autostart as it can create false positive readings, so I run it manually at the end of each days surfing after I have cleaned the temp files to get a true reading.
u r a big fat ass booter xD , Like if u agree ? :P

It's easier to open cmd, write "netstat -na" and check for weird IPs.

@MrGreatPoop netstat -b -n -o works better an anythin on ports other than 80,443 then your fucked type msconfig and look for weir things in start up
