@okaoka54 When you get to the state semis, each region takes turns hosting. In odd years (like 2009), the upper region hosts (Manatee won Region 3, STA won Region 4). In even years (2010), the lower region hosts (Which is why Manatee traveled to STA this last time). It has nothing to do with records, rankings, or being district champs. The format switches up during the playoffs, and it can be tricky to follow.  In 2009, Manatee was Away-Home-Away-Home-Away (in State Championship).

@SDCHARGERS619 yeah Grant has it year in and out!! No out of state teams accepted Grant's invite for a Pre-season game,so we're forced to play local but Out-Of-League teams. Grant had more depth in 08 when they beat Poly for state. But i think this year's Defense might be better, not as many weapons on offense though

actually xslash i go to Manatee and I would have been on the varsity team this year if I decided not to wrestle. And ummm... you're right a lot of people said manatee was gona lose. and thats what St. Thomas thought they were gona do. WRONG!!! you got to believe to achieve and i have been cheering on my canes since game one. And we also would have scored at least 2 more TDs if Brion Carnes didn't over through wide open Mike Blakeley and my friend Ace Sanders!!!

I actually noticed that too. Luckily the Aquinas players were mature enough to console each other and walk away. I have no ties in this game (actually I was cheering for Manatee cuz I have friends from there and I wanted an upset) but that looks pretty bad on the Canes.
