Disneyland Anaheim 1994 - Pirates of the Caribbean

This is the classic version of Pirates that I grew up with, and that my parents remember. Thanks for uploading, its like being able to re-ride it all over again! The new one is only O.K.

I remember in the area with the folks chasing each other that it was all men chasing women. Then they later closed it down on a day I went to the park so that they could change it to make most of the women chasing the men. I was only eight at the time, but I thought it was stupid that I couldn't go on the ride for a change like that. Now it just seems even more stupid... Can you imagine the feminists who must have written angry letters to make that change happen?

can someone please tell me about disney land and disney world like is disney land the first one and did they make it in the same year and did disney world look the same thing? can someone plaese tell me cause im going to disney world and i wanna see the things from back then cause i like old stuff like stuff like disney

@purehumanenergy89 the new one is no diffrent than the old one,except for the 3 new addition's ( they placed jack sparrow in 2 diffrent spot's,and the davy jone's part..)

i remember my first and only time before going on the ride was just a while before they changed it so it would kinda matched with the moviee.. :O the only think i could remember though is when the captain or whatever is on the bridge lol x]

the guy between 7:09-7:30 looks kinda real but it was a very cool ride the problem with it is that it is very very long but i was only like 5 then but back then my favourite part was when all the windows were on fire and stuff but im not saying that the new one aint bad it's just i miss the old one

The only thing I really miss from the old ride is the voices. "No fear have ye of evil curses..." ect. That was cool. That they shouldn't have taken out. The rest they added was awesome though and that last scene with Jack Sparrow makes for a way better ending in my opinion

Some things just shouldn't be tampered with! This has been my fav ride since I came here in the 80s when I was a little kid! I like it the way it is in this video and wish they would have just left it alone!!

And I think you meant to say "are afraid of change." :P We're not afraid of change. We just don't want it on this ride!!!

I agree with you! Now I'm not saying the changes mark the end of the world nor am I saying they're stupid, but I do miss the original ride. Kudos for posting this, it's awsome! :)

this was the last ride walt disney ever made before he died, and i wish they would have just made a new one then replace the old one
