Hi my name is Misozi I lived in zambia then moved to UK a couple years ago. My question is; does highland high school still exist? Ive searched everywhere online and would love to know as i used to go here. Thanks
@TheEgg18 Zambia is one of the only three countries in africa that have democracy, i lived in zambia for 6 years, it is the most peaceful country in africa. try to visit it one day, you will see it for yourself.
I lived in Kitwe in 1981...just for one year before moving to Kenya. I was only 9 then and can only remember some things about Kitwe. Very nice vid...good job.
It made me cry (a little). I lived in Kitwe 1956-66, and I still miss 'home'. Amazed to see the Caltex garage is still there. I went to what was then called The Frederick Knapp Primary school, followed by the Girls High. My Dad was head of FKS and Valley View.
I lived in Kitwe 1954 -1962 we lived on 16th st, my grandparents lived on cooke st. i went to boarding school in Lusaka, the last time i was in Kitwe was when my grandmother died in 1972. it holds such wonderfull memories for me as a kid.
OK, so Kitwe was not my home town, but I still love the place. I been to Kitwe a few times, must say when I was there around the 70's I loved visiting the steak houses, the best steak ever, I think it was called 'The Melting Pot'. Oh BTW, I am from Ndola.
Thanks, Tasila I am a pure Kitwe breed born and bought up there, but now reside in north america, OMG I miss home soo much, Home is home no matter what. LOVE YOU (((((KITWE ))))))

Kaus... I see you are in Kenya... I also lived there attending Duke of York boys boarding school in the Ngong Hills. As to this video I attended Kitwe Primary and recogised the area where the car parked across from the Total station. My best freind lived in the apartments there. I was also where the shop that sold the very first Televisions which they would leave on attarcting large crowds of Africans who would watch in amazment. I recall a stire called OK bazaar
I recognise the Shoprite as well!! As well as the bridge over the road near the show grounds... used to walk past it every day from Kitwe Primary! Good video!
This is great ... I was small boy living in Kitwe NR 1959 thru 1963... I recognize some of the buildings like the TOTAL petrol station and car dealership they sold VW and Jags. My best friends father worked there. I attended Kitwe Primary and lived on Grosvenor Crescent near the school by the slimes dam.. then on Rodean Dr just off Eaton Way on the other side of the small river near the park. If you have any more vids please post.. especially of mine pool and club. Thanks for posting

I spent hours waiting for a bus there in August '07. Love Zambia, don't like the bus service. I'd love to go back there for another holiday.
