  • This is not what to expect when joining the French Foreign Legion. Everythinh but not this.

  • @Compantino lolwut

  • Basic training was hurry up and wait

  • Looks like you had some fun in the Legion :) Going around the world, screwing around every now and then ( of course there is time when you have to work and combat time). And very good music choice, the theme song from the Gladiator ,eh?

  • 5:23 treat every weapon as if it was loaded !!!! dont point at anything you are not willing to kill/destroy

  • cool pics dude!!!

  • Nice pics :)

  • you are well built. i was always worried about losing weight in the legion. so it seems like they feed you well. did you have time to go to the gym ??

  • As Someone honestly considering joining the legion, this video is an incentive

  • Djibouti....ahhhhh!!!!..no comment

  • Witaj. Jestem Polakiem. Szacunek dla ciebie. Jesteś niesamowitym człowiekiem. Jesteś legionistą i dlatego każdy ciebie powinien szanować jak i innych legionistów. Liczę na to że też się do was dostanę :) Pozdrawiam ciebie i życzę miłej i bezpiecznej służby tobie i wszystkich legionistom :)

  • what's the deal with the butchers at 1:55 ???

  • @odanne29 minimum is 5 years.

  • 7:49!!!!

  • Canaidian Army or FFL which one is better to join?

  • Looks nice, hope you enjoyed the time.

  • Masonic cocks

  • Was it worth it?

  • 6:24 really nice

  • this another one of those vids that makes yu want to jump on a train to paris... :(

i am going to join th legion anyway. i have a lot of respect for the FFL

    thx fore the vid

  • wow i thinking to join the legion, looks very brutal!! is it true that you sign for 5 years minimum?

  • @odanne29 3 years minimum.

  • @traials90 are you sure about that?, well it said 5 years minimum on there homepage..

  • @traials90 Look i have to join in Legion on June this year, and i know by some police man the minimum is 3 years. Maybe is wrong .-.

  • @traials90 ok 3 years only, thats good. are you in the Legion now?

  • @odanne29 No... for the moment no... but at June I'll enjoy it. :D

  • @traials90 why in june man?, im joining very soon,,,

  • hey man you rule. y know what they say-only the true men go to legion!

  • Is the Legion as shite as simsgreg says it is? Lots of cleaning, "yes sir", "no sir", time spent in jail and no proper training. Judging from this video you seem to disagree. What IS it like? Do you Enjoy it?

    All the best

  • @isaacesturt yea there is bullshit involved but there is in any army , you have to expect that

  • @morley0879 What would be better worth joining, the British Paras or the FFL?. The FFL looks alright, but got told by a few Squaddies that the FFL is shite. Asides, some 2REP Legionnaires say they would prefer to be in the British Paras. Any reason why?.

  • @Browno86InnitBlud You don't get to choose where you go, so if it's Paras you specifically want to join then go for that..

  • @Browno86InnitBlud it depends on what you want out of life, both are great, if you can join the U.K forces then Royal marines is a option too. It all depends on what you want, the legion is a complete change in life moving to a different country, language, culture. I plan to fly over when i get the problem with my feet sorted out, but i am going for a reason. If it were 6 years ago id prob go in Canadian forces, i also thought about Royal Marines.

  • @Browno86InnitBlud but shit happens in life, i need to get away and start fresh, same as is the reason why most people join from what i have read. Only you can decide were you want to serve, just make sure you know everything about U.K forces and the Legion before you make a decision.

  • @Baseshocks The French Foreign Legion is the only thing i like out of France, otherwise i would prefer Australia and serve in the ADF if possible. I got told by an Aussie Legionnaire that i still could after 5 years in the Legion as im a Commonwealth Citizen.

  • @Browno86InnitBlud ya they definitely take commonwealth citizens, i read up on that too. the thing is from what i have read that they only take commonwealth citizens that have military experience, but don't take my word i have not talked to a recruiter.

  • @morley0879 So would you recommend any one to join or no. I only have volunteer army service, how would i fit?

  • "in combat I will fight with no passion or hatred, my mission is sacred" vive la legion!

  • No 17 but under 18 you should be authorized by parents

  • some great pictures here

  • Hei nice video, cool pictures.

Just one "easy question", how is the legion ? XD

I'm looking for it (i'm 21) and my dream was to become a soldier, but in my country they rejected me... now i'm dreaming about the FFL.

But the 5 years contract scare me a lot... 5 years away from home is a long period of time... i've to leave all behind and it's not easy...

what do you think about it?

  • I got deffered from my countrys aarmy for 3 years and thinkign about joining the FFL as well.

  • Comment removed

  • you look manly

  • hehe fine work!

  • haha i too

  • haha beer and weapons...

my really respect to you and all the others who served...and still serve

  • why you don't join now??

  • impressive!

  • dude theres another documentary on the legion and i think ur in it. were there cameras around when u did basic training?

  • was it in french ?

  • Nice phot mate and a good choice of song to accompany them, YouNoop be quiet you are a child among men, act accordingly and dont be a lap top commando, weve all met them and exposed them in bars all over the world. I once met a guy in a bar in Ibiza who was in the FFL as a Sgt for 15 yrs and didnt speak a word of French, clown.

  • @morley0879 Legion Etrangere

  • friend of mine is sick of the "world" and wants to fuck off to FFL. I told him it ain't as glorious as people say and that there ain't as much action as on the civilian side nowdays. Comments?

  • thats very true there are better army out there

  • cheers mate. all respect to FFL, but i need to talk him out of it. perhaps he might get something from a 4 month CP- course in England with me. Any clues on extensive CP- programs out there? my buddy just told me to look'em up, but it's hard to choose the right one. looking for a longer course, as said 4 months or something with some sort of job guarantee. answer well appreciated.

  • from what i have heard from amot of guys who have done the CP courses the best one is prob RONIN in south africa just google "ronin southafrica" its a pretty well respected course in the CP industry , like i said its only what i have heard by friends that have done it and are working in the CP industry

  • appreciated. all the best your way for the future.

  • @morley0879 that sonds interesting mate, who can go and do that?

  • @OLDMANBADGER any one

  • Nice video, quick question for you. Can you join if you wear glasses?

  • this is something im considering but first i gota serve my country

  • what do people say when you tell them you were in the legion?

  • hello, your vids on the FFL are amazing, did they gave you shit for the pics? also, i am thinking of joining the FFL in some months, any recommendations, ANYTHING at all that I should know about? physical, languages, degrees, etc..would be greatly appreciated.

  • Your pics inspire me mate alot so thankyou 4 them n total respect 2 you!!! I was in the parachute reg 4 almost 3 years then failed a drugs test! i wana join the legion but would i get turned away because of that??? cheers, take care!!!

  • na u'll be ok my mate was in the guards n got booted out for drugs aswell and he is 2yrs into his 5 yr contract but belive me if you go dont try and compare it to the paras to be honest you aint gonna get bette than the british army , remember aswell they boot people out of the legion now!!

  • So say you got sick of the legion and wanted to leave but it was to difficult to desert you could in theory just fail a drugs test and they'd kick you out right?

  • hi mr foster, wy did u leave (u know what i mean )the legion ? heard a lot of rumours about it in aubagne and castel ! just interrested.... take care and happy new year, would like to hear from u and how u feel/think about your decicion.

    Legio Patria Nostra

  • na 29 is cool

  • was that a gazzelle helicopter on the aircraft carries deck

  • i see there is alot of advice being given here , younoop , have yo ever served in the legion ? and 40 years old is the very maximum , the younger the applicants the more chance they have of getting in ,the chances are the nearer to 40 you are the less chance you have and if over 40 like younoop says ?? you will have no chance, but good luck anyway

  • enjoyed watching the vid i have a lot of respect for the french armed forces the ffl exspecaly are you still serving in the ffl or are yoiu a former member.

  • no..i was never...but iam interested to join...idont like wars but its very interesting experiment...its a good way too learn things...language countrys people technics..and urself...what u made of...its very multicultural...and i hope the mentality which i prefer which u can share with other people...but i dont know if its so there...i have work now....will see..i want make my diving papers...iam young i have a bit time^^i speak 3 languages...i like too learn

  • younoop,,,,, stop commenting on my vids please, if everyone looks at all my vids they will realise you are a stupid person who has anoyed me and many "real soldiers" with your comments , i hope you do go into the forces one day and realise what it is all about , stop with your wanna be comments, i would say nothing to any person if they had experience in this way of life who had any real comments to make whatever there opinion, thank you!!

  • QED

  • who dares wins! :D

  • great pics morley

  • How long was it until they let you carry a camera?

  • great pics. looked like u had a good time. which regiments did u serve wit? cuz it looked like u did more than 1reg

  • great pic's really enjoyed the vid's you put on m8! are you still in the legion now? im ready to take the leap and jump in. sick of this life im living in a place of drugs, gangs and no future! i'll be in france april, looking forward to having a future that's not forseen and on a wing and a prayer.. A. FORTUNE

  • Hey cool Vid! how do you qualify to enter into the FFIs elite 2nd parachut regiment?

  • You normaly have to finish within the top 10 in basic training but every regiment is as good as the other ! I finished 3rd place and sis not choose to go to the REP anyone serving will tell you the legion is the legion wherever you are

  • oh ok thanks!

  • What are the requirements on eyesight for these regiments? I've gotten a bit nearsighted recently, how much of an impact would that have on my placement?

The FFL sounds like an interesting experience, a bit of adventure and you don't have to think for yourself (sounds strange but right now that's quite appealing to me).

  • how many years have you had when you joined?

  • Oh and the age in my profile isn't right if that matters. I turned 18 a few months ago..

  • Great video! Not sure how to go about this but here we go. I've been wanting to join the ffl for some time but the thing is i've been a recluse for going on 6 years now. I have no social competence at all- that's actually why I want to join.. to learn how to make small talk. I guess my question is, do you think they'd take me? Could you please ask? thank you..

  • all you can do is try but being a recluse is not going to help you one bit as you need to work with people at all times
