  • Am I the only one who actually *liked* this game? Controls aside, I thought it had great level designs & music. I kept coming back to it even though I knew I'd never get very far.

...and weren't slow/rigid character controls sort of the old school Castlevania trademark?

  • have u guys played castlevania: order of shadow? its shit! worst than this. its for the mobile phone...

  • You said this is a short game, but it took you longer to beat this game then Castlevania 1 on the NES

  • I love Castlevania 64 and it's prequel. Controls aren't that great but the plot and gameplay are great.

  • If you don't have the Chain whip at least fighting the first boss in that last segment multiples times is MUCH harder.

  • That boomerang guy is throwing a sickle

  • I'll say this much...at least the music sounds like Castlevania (Well, as much as a Game Boy game can).

    Nice run though!

  • Konami games are the pinnacle of sound. These games are in my opinion the best sounding GB games.

  • Did anyone else notice how Dracula's chamber has three Jewish stars on it's walls?

  • Pentagrams have 5 corners or angles.

The things on Dracula's walls have 6 corners.

    Way to go, Konami!

So it was the Jews all along!jk

  • Pentagrams have 5 points.

  • Actually, THE worst Castlevania game is Haunted Castle (the arcade game of Castlevania) because it was so damn near impossible!

  • I agree. Only three continues, and you take shitloads of damage... as in you die in 2-3 hits. I mean, what the hell was Konami thinking when they made that game?

  • There is an easy version that I have managed to beat the one you are talking about is the hard one. It's my lifelong goal to beat that one. You have to be perfect. 1 hit equals half your health gone.

  • In other words, the hard version of Haunted Castle makes Ghosts 'N Goblins look like a cakewalk... and even that game isn't exactly forgiving either.

  • Yup because of the horrible controls. Stiff as hell.

  • Haunted castle just has stiff controls. Simon walks like he has spinal nerve issues.

  • I liked Castlevania64, there was different levels for both characters, and there was also thrilling locations, like the garden maze and the villa. The final boss was also nicely done, and many endings and secrets made it nice adventure game. There was some bad level designs, but overall it was nice, like "vampiretombraider".

  • Pfft, who needs a reason to kill dracula?

    It's just a hobby. :D

Yah, this was pretty horrible game that's why I didn't played it past second stage.

What comes to N64 one, it's not bad but... Well, it's not very great either.

  • I don't know if I've ever before seen any criticism thrown in "Adventure"'s direction that claims its final stage to be too easy.

You're either the afore-labeled video-game god or a friggin' comedian.

  • good job

  • if this is cristopher is his sone who was the mother? Im assuming the one in "haunted castle" game

  • For a belmont that has super strenght the sure climb the ropes slow! lol

  • Must be tough to be Dracula when you are an important support structure for your own castle.
